Clear your mind and relax in all that nature has to offer, welcome to Snow Goose, a bright open bungalow. Nestled among the evergreens and beach plums, just steps from the sandy dunes of Broadkill Beach. Two bedrooms and one bath, we have queen beds in each bedroom and a twin daybed in the main living area.

Broadkill Beach is located on the Delaware Bay, just north of Cape Henlopen and Lewes Beach. Broadkill offers public beach access for swimming, surf fishing, and boating and kayaking in the gentle waters. As a natural beach, there are no lifeguards. The community is surrounded by Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and Beach Plumb Island Nature Preserve, making it a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers and other wildlife. Broadkill Beach is an official sanctuary for horseshoe crabs, the state marine animal of Delaware and a "signature species" of the Delaware Bay Estuary. Truly a magical place.

Rehoboth Beach is approximately 20 minutes south of Broadkill Beach.
The only business located in Broadkill Beach is The Broadkill Store, a general store sometimes referred to by locals as the "Broadkill Mall," which sells sandwiches, grocery items, bait & tackle, beach toys, souvenirs and homemade donuts on the weekends.

Historic Milton offers shopping, dining and Night life. The Milton Theatre, restored local venue offers comedy, music and eclectic performances. Dogfish Head Brewery always has a party, tastings, mammoth grill always cooking something tasty.

The property is as pictured and offered everything in the description with very easy access to the beach. The fireplace has a sticker that says do not use, which was no concern during our summer visit. It was pretty clean although there were socks found under couches when I swept and cobwebs on light fixtures. The outside could use some power washing, though I understand it is end of season. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. Beds were not comfortable. The house does not supply bath mat or dish towels. The check-in was easy and communication with property manager was pleasant. We would not recommend this property because the sewer pipe is near the outside of the second bedroom window and occasionally makes the room smell like sewage. It was prevalent enough that my young boys did not want to be in the room and I initially crawled all over searching for dog poop, it was at times that strong. I had my children sleep in the living room floor while we were there. We left halfway through our trip. I did communicate with the property manager who came by to make sure there was no leakage and was very cordial. The manager refunded our pet fee as we did not end up bringing our dog. We appreciated that gesture. Lastly, the beach is at times swarmed with relentless biting flies, which has nothing to do with the property but I feel the need to warn other families. DEET is more necessary than sunscreen.

I think the pics must have been taken on a cloudy day because this home was so much brighter in person!! It was 95 and sweltering when we moved in,but the AC was already running for us. 95% of this home has been updated and is absolutely gorgeous!! For some reason i thought the BR looked like a stall shower only, but it was big, and that was also a nice surprise. Bring your food and toiletries and there's no reason to leave! Beach during day, deck in the evening, perfect relaxing vacation! Beach is maybe 200yds away and there is hardly anyone there!!! We left our beach gear right at the dunes edge each day...very safe vacation community. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, and most of all, thank you for allowing our sweet four-legged family!!!

Excellent place for a couple or a small family who are just looking for relaxing days at the beach. The little house has just about everything you need including a great deck for evening sitting. TIP - Bring lots of bug spray, Broadkill is know for it biting flies.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Snow Goose property on Broadkill Beach. The property was very clean and well maintained. We were just steps away from a quiet, non-crowded beach. We are already planning our next stay. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a relaxing getaway in a charming location.

So the place was nice, accessibility to beach was slim, overall beach area was small, house was ok, if you are a bigger guy like myself, the bathroom toilet is a squeeze in. Bugs are down right nasty, my wife and I got attacked the 1st day there. There is room for improvement here.

Perfect place for two people and a dog. Great beach access - some houses to the north do not due to some erosion. Owner was quick to accommodate an additional day. This is our third time renting this house and it won’t be our last.

We really enjoyed our week at this property. It is very clean and has a nice set up with the open concept living area brightly lit by windows on all 3 sides on the beach side of the house and the bedrooms on the street side. We loved the wrap around deck and spent most of our time sitting outside with our dog. The only downside was not being able to see the water when you’re sitting on the deck because of the height of the dune next to the deck. Other than that, our week was excellent and we loved the cottage. We like places that are sparsely populated when we go to the beach and Broadkill Beach fit the bill, and we really appreciated the fact that the cottage is dog friendly since our dog goes everywhere with us.

We just enjoyed our 5th stay at Snow Goose! Sadie the black Lab possibly loves the house, deck, and empty beach even more than we do. This is such a wonderful spot if you seek total relaxation. 10/5 stars!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is comfortable and met all our needs. It was great to have our dogs with us and to be right on the beach. Broadkill beach is beautiful and so nice to be able to have a beach bonfire! The porch on the house is great. The gates latch so if you have pups or small children it is safe for them to run around. Enjoyed exploring Milton and Lewes.

The house was clean and up to date,short walk to the beach and on a very quite road. very convenient to Rohoboth,and golf.Had a great time and did rebook for next year.The only problem was the man eating Flyes on the beach,thanks to fly swatters,it keep it under control.

We had a great week in Delaware! The house is perfect for a vacation getaway. It is just a short walk to the beach (path from the back deck over a dune area) This made it easy to get up, get our beach stuff, and walk right out to spend the morning at the beach. Quiet beach. Short drive to Rehoboth to walk around or Cape Henlopen. We would rent again if we return to Delaware!

We were looking for a beach-front property that was quiet and allow us to relax and rejuvenate. Snow Goose Cottage fit the bill perfectly. The design of the house with windows on 3 sides facing the dunes and the ocean, provided views that were nothing less than natural beauty. The cottage itself was very comfortable and well equipped with everything listed on the website. The gated wrap-around deck was a welcomed feature, allowing our two dogs to play outside without having to watch them every minute. They loved it. We already rebooked for next year. Thank you Terry for your prompt communication at every step.

Wow! Clean, comfortable, quiet, and access to the beach ... this property is first class at a great price. The house has a wonderful, huge deck. The interior is clean and comfortable. It had just enough space for me, my husband, and our doggie. The view out the front windows is spectacular and if it's a little chilly, it's an awesome spot to watch the sunrises. I have no complaints about the interior. We knew going in to take sheets and towels. Everything else is there including pots and pans, coffee pot, plates, and a gas grill outside (which is in great shape and easy to use). We had no issues while we were there. Check-in and out were easy. Terry was terrific and made sure we didn't have any questions and let us know to contacthim if we did. The walk to the beach is short. And the beach is so beautiful and quiet. This place is a gem and I only hope we're lucky enough to stay here again!!!

Snow Goose is an amazing spot for a low key family vacation with toddlers and a small dog. We'd walk onto the beach every morning and play for several hours. Then in the afternoon, we'd check out Prime Hook, Henlopen State Park, or Lewes. Super relaxing, perfect location.

This is a great house - spacious, clean, and updated with a deck perfect for dogs to lay in the sun. Deck is gated so the pups can’t wander. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful beach.

This may have been one of our favorite rentals both for location as well as the property itself. We traveled with our two dogs and loved the beautiful deck being gated. The proximity to the beach was a quick trek through the sand from the deck. The property was spotless and was well stocked. The plan was open and full of natural light. The owner responded quickly to any questions. I cannot recommend this rental enough, it was superior! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home!! I hope to return someday. The Johnson's

really comfy cottage on the ocean. The beach was quiet and empty -- but it was November. Perfect for long walks. Stunning sunrises. Comfortable queen size beds. Washer/dryer came in handy. The open plan main room had lots of space and felt very roomy.

This was our 3rd stay here and we can’t recommend it highly enough! Me…my husband…the dog - we all love this property on the beach and will be back. Friends came to stay the last 2 nights. The visit was extra special this year, as I was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in December 2021 and a few weeks later reserved our favorite spot as a goal amidst the chaos. Dreaming of this vacation, in this house we love, got both of us through surgeries and chemo and radiation. So our week was a celebration - as we also had our 20th anniversary the week we were here! Thank you, Snow Goose….you’ve become a very special part of our lives.

We had a great week, our first time at the Delaware beaches and we’re so glad we happened upon this quiet little spot. Though it’s a trek to drive to where the “action” is, it’s also nice having the option to walk a few yards to a very sparsely populated beach. The general store down the road left a lot to be desired, so it’s best to stock up on EVERYTHING while out and about in Milton, Lewes, or Rehoboth. We had some really amazing sunrises over the horizon and the flies on the beach were tolerable for us. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!
