Overall stay was very good. Number and quality of bathrooms was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Living room view exceptional. But was lacking additional paper towels or toilet paper.

The cabin is amazing, and beautiful inside and out.

House is very spacious with 2 living room areas and a nice dining table. Bunk room was perfect for our group of teenage boys with a pool table. Bedroom to bathroom ratio was perfect. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Only thing missing is ceiling fans in bedrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! Thank you so much!

This property was the perfect place for our family ski trip! It had everything we needed. Loved watching the deer cross in the yard. Recommend 4WD during snow season.

Super awesome house! Amazing views! Loved the pool table! Super convenient to everything!

We had such a relaxing Christmas vacation. The proximity to the ski resort was fantastic and the house was spacious and provided everything we needed. The deer even paid us a visit two days in a row. We would definitely stay here again.

Older cabin, interesting layout. It’s a bit dated, but hey, it’s a cabin, not a resort, and the views are breath taking! We loved watching the snow fall from the big picture windows in the living room… lots of windows. I opened them all just to get to see all of outside! Having 4 1/2 baths (nice bathrooms) was wonderful, and unlike an earlier post, we had plenty of hot water for all showers. The layout is great for families with different interests with two main sitting room. A lot of space! My little ones loved the game room… but it really needs some investment in some pool sticks… only one and it has a broken tip, as well as game pieces for the chess and checker board set. The stairs aren’t for the weak kneed, … make sure you have someone strong to get groceries up to the main floor, Up stairs. . And if you have toddlers, I’d bring a safety gate, or ask for one. We had a couple of tumbles. The house needs a good spring cleaning to get rid of cob webs, and a few drawers cleaned out, but nothing gross. I’ll take a fun cabin with a beautiful view, over a few cobwebs any day!

This cabin was perfect for our group. The only issue we had was that the beds were very small. I would think about upgrading the beds. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Our family was happy with the home and we had a great time! The snow in Angel Fire was thin but had a wonderful time with our grown children.

This large house is in a great location, easy to get to and close to the lake. It has 5 bedrooms, 3 upstairs and 2 down There were a few minor issues, but to me they did not make too much of a difference. I enjoyed the scenery, the space of the house and my family all together. It had what I needed, no luxury. I liked it just fine and considered coming back. A nice place to stay with family.
During our stay there were many electrical blackouts, not to the fault of the owner.
Unfortunately, the kitchen is also upstairs. The upstairs is the main living quarters. Lots of stair climbing.
The kids really liked the bunkroom with the pool table.
The downstairs bathroom is carpeted?
A few dark spots due to burned out or broken light bulbs.
We had to move the coffee maker to another outlet.
The beds are not very comfortable and they definitely need new pillows. I suggest you bring your own pillows.
The towels were very nice.
It was hot when we stayed, Labor Day, no AC and no ceiling fans. Even with windows open it was too warm upstairs.
The hot water gave out after two showers. We had 14 people staying.
The dishwasher did not work.

A previous CO VRBO was canceled at the last moment and we were diligently searching to find a replacement that would meet our needs at the last minute. Owners/property managers went out of their way to have the place cleaned and ready for us on short notice. All things considered, it was a very nice fit for our family. Many thanks to the folks who made this happen for our family.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the cozy home in Angel Fire. It was perfect for our family. The scenery was beautiful and our view was breathtaking. We were able to spend precious time together and make memories that will last a lifetime. The cozy home was comfortable, inviting, and warm. It felt like home, yet set in a snowy wonderland. Our 4 adult children and 3 teenagers relaxed, laughed and spent quality time with each other. This will always be a treasure to me. Perfect fit for us.

Great place, need better address directions.

We arrived to a beautiful blanket of snow. The driveway was a little steeper than we expected, there was nothing in the description saying we needed 4 wheel drive but it was definitely needed. The skiing was great and an easy 3 mile drive. The lodge was set up well for our large family of 6 adults and 8 kids. There were plenty of beds & bathrooms. LOTS of towels and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. There was a small charcoal grill available. Bring your own charcoal. There was plenty of firewood but no kindling or firestarter. The cable &/or the TV in the upstairs living area was not working well, it was so fuzzy it was almost not watchable but the downstairs TV worked well.
Overall we were very satisfied with this rental and would recommend it to others.

We had a 5 sibling reunion with spouses and grown children and grandchildren. Lots of space, beautiful vistas, and having the 4 1/2 bathrooms sure came in handy!
Plentiful hot water
Well stocked kitchen for cookware, flatware and dishes.
The fire pit was wonderful with lots of wood
Linens and towels were plentiful
Well appointed. Bathrooms were lovely, furniture nice
Lots of comfortable seating
Loved the big dining table for eating and card playing!
There were families from Idaho, Colorado, Virginia and New Mexico. Everyone was very impressed.
And got some good aerobic exercise climbing stairs. No need for the gym.
Thanks for a great time!

Nice cabin, we have stayed in lodge multiple years, but the small cabin was perfect for just the two of us. VERY ACCOMMODATING owners, super friendly. Our only wish was that there was a grill, but it didn't bother us too much, just ate out more! LOL

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family. All the kids were thrilled to death that they could all stay in one room together ,it was spaceios, plenty of bathrooms and close to the town ,golf course and close to fishing. We highly recommend this cabin to all familys. We will definitely come back again.

Pros:
Large home, good for famines with children. The property is close to town which is nice.
Cons:
It's a very dated home and needs some work, there was duct tape in the bathrooms keeping things intact.
There was not any extra dish soap, hand soap, trash bags or toilet paper. We had to make a unnecessary trip into town to get these items that are usually left in rental properties.
Might be a good idea to take pictures on arrival and departure, some of our deposit was held back as there was 'too much' laundry (even though they request you strip the beds) and stated there was a mess left which was definitely not the case.

What a great way to take a large family on a ski trip. It was a good size home with plenty of room for everyone. It was just a very short drive to the slopes and town. I would use this again if and when we ever go back to Angel Fire with a large group.
4.7
My family and I absolutely loved the cabin and Angel Fire was so beautiful. We were visited by a deer and a family of chipmunks in the morning, which added a wonderful touch. Denise was so nice and helpful, made it easy to arrange our trip. I would recommend this cabin to my family and friends, it's spacious and easy to get to.

We had a lovely stay at Whispering Pines Lodge over Memorial Day weekend. Three families with a total of 13 people fit well in the home. The kids took over downstairs and loved their space, including the bunk room and pool table. The kitchen had everything we needed but the stove is older. We would definitely return!

We rented the house during the off season and found the location to be perfect - quiet, yet reasonably close to services and activities in Angel Fire, Taos and the surrounding area. The view from the house is one of the best in the area - trees, lakes and snow-capped mountains made a great backdrop for morning lounging or evening unwinding.
The "Goods"
The house has a great layout for a large family like ours (9 total - 3 couples, 2 young adults and a 2-year old). There was plenty of room to share a family meal and then seek out a bit of quiet solitude. The house was well-furnished with plenty of amenities including towels and bedding. It appeared that the house was well-insulated due to the fact that the temperature was almost constantly pleasant. Access to the house through the lockbox system worked well for our group. We really enjoyed having a full-size laundry room.
The "Not So Goods"
Upstairs bathrooms need updating (specifically shower heads). Upstairs Master bath shower whistles loudly throughout the house when in use. We found only one remote to operate two TVs. The "ski room" could use an additional switch so that there is one at each entrance. It would be more convenient if the light switches were labeled. There were several switches that we had no idea what they operated. The pool table was nice but lacked equipment - no rack, cues were limited and in poor condition. The stairs and porch on the north side need attention - there are several nail heads sticking up. An hour or so with a hammer should do the trick.
An updated stove would be welcomed. The driveway to the main house is very steep and would not be accessible during the winter without a four-wheel drive vehicle.
All of those issues were easily worked around. One issue that really needs to be addressed is the beds. The mattresses in the upstairs bedroom (with the private porch) and in the downstairs bedroom really need to be replaced. They have long passed their service life.
Overall, we had a great experience and I feel that for the price, we got a bargain. Independent reviews by our group gave it 3 Stars for sleeping comfort, 4 Stars for amenities and overall comfort and 5 Stars for location and the view. We really had a great time and would rent the house again.

Our family rented this house to use during my sister's wedding weekend. We had extended family stay with us and it was exactly what we wanted. There was room for the little kids to play and there was a seporate space that the adults could sit and drink coffee and look out the windows. The decor is a little dated, but that didn't matter to us! Overall the property was exactly what we were looking for to have a nice and relaxing place to stay for our family. I would recommend this property to anyone with a big group looking for a nice place to stay in Angel Fire! In fact, we can't wait to come back!

Cabin was great for large group or family. Plenty of room and sleeping for everyone.
Very clean and well kept. Kitchen and bathrooms could use some updating upstairs.
