We had a wonderful family gathering for my fathers 85th birthday at this fantastic house. It completely delivered all it said in its profile. Comfy beds, lovely bedrooms, roomy lounge, well equipped kitchen and beautiful surroundings. The house was lovely and warm and very clean. We would definatley recommed and will return.

Fantastic bar conversion in a quite location at the end of a private farm road.
Fantastic bar conversion in a quite location at the end of a private farm road. We only managed 2 days due to the blasted 2nd lockdown. But what a taster it proved to be. 5 very large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large lounge and massive table for 8 or 10 people. Great outside space and loads of footpaths. Easy mobile phone coverage. Our only minor fault was the lack of broadband. It's a cottage we will return to for sure. Brilliant owners.

Had a great time here and my daughter (20mo) loved the open spaces and cows.
Had a great time here and my daughter (20mo) loved the open spaces and cows. The owners had left some fresh coffee, chocolates and toiletries which was a lovely touch.
We would definitely return my only (minor) criticism is that the kitchen knives were extremely blunt and a couple of the pans had seen better days (there was plenty of pans to use though) so preparing meals on an evening was a bit difficult but that is my only criticism of a great place which we had a great time at and we are already discussing a return in the future.

Lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere.
Lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere. Plenty big enough for large group. Would be easier to find in the day light. The only problem was the house was freezing when we arrived and we had to sit with our coats on until it warmed up. Fortunately the baby in our family didn't arrive until the house was nice and warm - once heated it was lovely and warm.

What can I say; this cottage was everything we needed for a family holiday to celebrate my birthday. We were a family with an age range from 11 years to 80 years and it suited us perfectly. It was great for a large family gathering and the bedrooms and bathrooms were arranged just perfectly. The views from the cottage, in every direction, were amazing and I hope someday to return. The photos on the web don’t do it justice.

Only slight down side for us, and this is very minor, is that with the games room being in a separate building, and what looked like windows on the pictures, being wooden doors, it was rather cold in March. This meant we couldn't use it, because we would have had to leave a baby unattended in the house. It in no way affected our enjoyment of the mini break as we played board games inside the comfy cozy lounge.
The kitchen is well equipped and everything is spotless, with choccies in the the arrival pack which went down a storm. The location is fabulously remote with amazing views of the dales. A real walkers paradise.

Warm and comfortable property.
Warm and comfortable property. We’ll definitely visit again. There was small issue with the water pressure but owners informed us something had broken down and was going to be repaired with a day of us departing. Best property we have stayed in
