Very well-equipped cottage, excellent kitchen for self-catering, spacious bedrooms with good wardrobe space. A bit dusty despite the ‘extra deep cleaning’.

Nice cottage but the living area is a bit small for 6 people.
Nice cottage but the living area is a bit small for 6 people. There are a few things that require fixing in the property. Also a thorough clean is required in some areas.
Beds were comfortable.

Cottage was nice location and value for money.
Cottage was nice location and value for money. We stayed in Keswick for past 5 years and property up to standard. Towels were provided, even though it doesn't say, only linen and I did check with letting agent who said not provided!! Duvets were very heavy and thick/luxurious but we took our own as far too hot in September - we had no rain all week!! (first time ever!) Did some washing & thought washing machine had a drier but didn't - there was a line in the back alley though that could be used. Moved some of the crockery around in kitchen as every cupboard full so no where to put food apart from pantry, but shelves too small for cereal boxes - but we found a cupboard to accomodate these. Extractor in main bedroom did run on as others have said for over 20 mins but the door closed deadened sound. Radios up & downstairs were handy. Not many channels on TV even though sky box mainly BBC,ITV,4&5 & Dave - couldn't get Netflix or Sky. Wifi worked fine. Shower cubicle needs upgrading as door on it's last legs. Otherwise we we happy for 6 of us staying there. Hopefully next time we get just as good weather!!

Very clean, Quiet comfortable .
Very clean, Quiet comfortable . I thought it was expensive for that particular cottage but it was holiday time to be fair but we have stayed in larger accommodations in Keswick at a similar time with more space ,comfort & parking in that price bracket.

An absolutely fantastic place, location-wise and the house was comfortably fitted out.
An absolutely fantastic place, location-wise and the house was comfortably fitted out. I would stay there time and time again. It is one of the best places I have stayed in Keswick, having been many times over the past 40 years. The owners have make a great effort to plan and furnish the house thoughtfully and it has a wonderfully relaxing feel about it.

A well-equipped, comfortable house, ideally situated close to the centre of Keswick.
A well-equipped, comfortable house, ideally situated close to the centre of Keswick. We instantly felt at home in Oak Lea and plan to return. We are frequent visitors to the area and Oak Lea is the best accommodation we have stayed in so far. Plenty of space for a party of five.
