This is the second year in a row that my family has stayed 4 nights at the Victorian in Home, Washington.
There were 8 adults 2 three year olds and one infant. The grounds and location are great for our group. Our 30 something children love the pickleball court and we all love Puget Sound. We generally bring our own kayaks and stand-up paddleboards but knowing that there are boats available is a plus. I was raised on Puget Sound so it's like going home for me.
The house is very interesting for its history and the wood and decor are nice. On this particular visit the weather was unusually warm. The AC units were appreciated in two of the bedrooms, however, the master bedroom, which faces west and has no curtains, was extremely warm. A floor unit would work well in that room. The Wi-Fi is quite weak ( our son-in-law is enrolled in Nurse Practitioner school and did struggle with internet speeds.
Overall the property is very relaxing and we would recommend it for the peace and quiet.

Hard to find without a smart phone.
We would have liked blinds on the master bedroom windows facing the water. Also the living room French doors and windows facing the water would have been better with blinds. The a/c on the third floor wasn’t working the room was 99 degrees when we got to the house.

Wonderful Home For Girls Trip
What an amazing home to spend our girls trip at. My daughter picked this home for her graduation/18th birthday trip. It did not disappoint!! The charm of this place was perfect! It was very clean and had everything we could have needed! We even got to see seals, a sea otter and deer! Would 110% recommend to anyone and would go again!

Beautiful home
Had a family get together for a long weekend of fun. House and property was beautiful! Went kayaking and saw a handful of seals! Great kitchen for a big group we all took part in making a family dinner. Pickleball, hottub and firepit all utilized over the weekend for a very memorable trip! Only con I would bring up is a lot of stink bugs in the upstairs bedroom we had to keep cleaning up for the kids. Other than that, had a lovely weekend and would stay again!!

Great location with lots of Character
Not sure if it’s the location or Victorian home, but this place has lots of character and charm.
Rented the home for my wife’s birthday weekend with a couple of friends. We ended up hanging out under the covered porch and enjoyed storm watching and seeing the seals play in the sound.
No issues with the home and everything was as advertised. Hot tub was great and helped us warm up after walking the property and searching for sea shells.
Would definitely stay again and would bring dinner fixings to really test out the restaurant style kitchen appliances this home has.

Beautiful location and comfortable stay
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The views were breathtaking and the property had everything we needed.
The only issues we had with the stay were with 1) kayaks and 2) hot tub.
On our Day 2 at the property, the sun finally came out and we decided to take the kayaks into the water. We used two double kayaks. After we rowed for 5 minutes, we noticed that one of the kayaks started filling with water - potentially due to a hole. We had to quickly row back. We understand that a lot of guests use the kayaks, and it is difficult to track them - but definitely a safety issue.
After coming back after our kayaking adventure- we decided to use the hot tub. The water was really hot and we tried every way available in the manual to decrease the temperature, and it would not budge. We messaged the number provided with this issue - but we did not hear back till hours later (about potential heater issues). So we gave up on that.
Other than that - the fall colors were stunning and we had a fun stay.

Needs some attention
Beautiful home and location, but it needs some maintenance, updating, TLC and a REAL good overall cleaning! Lots of cobwebs in every room and an overall unclean feeling! Basement has an overwhelming musty Oder, making hot tub use unenjoyable :(
Even with the let downs, the view from the deck and the peace and quiet were amazing!

All ages had fun!
The whole family agreed it was a great Victorian home. Lots to do on the property from youngest to oldest. We were there during a heatwave so that was uncomfortable but other than that, we had a wonderful time.

Incredible piece of property
We spent a long weekend with another family and our jaw dropped at the stunning beauty of the setting. We sat on the porch, watching our kids play in the water, ate oysters from the beach (I don’t recommend this), played intense games of pickle ball and left refreshed and rejuvenated. Thanks for the great weekend away!

Wonderful vacation
We really enjoyed ourselves and the owners were responsive to our comments. Be aware the main refrigerator does not keep a cool enough temp and a small mini fridge was provided as an alternative while that’s being addressed. It was a great vacation and a great location.

Seaside Victorian Main House
We, all 11 of us had a wonderful family reunion because of this fabulous WA home!! This place is BIG and has nature right out the back door. We loved the gardens, the kyacks, the pickle ball court the hot tub and all the nature of the ocean. We watched deer, bald eagles, sea otters, seals, herrins, and hummingbirds. There was no need to even go out to eat as the kitchen is perfect for cooking and the house amazing. The woodwork and architecture of this historic Victorian, 4 floor mansion is something to see and live in! We can't recommend it enough!!

Wonderful House
The house and grounds are wonderful. It is so peaceful and relaxing. We spend the entire weekend at the house so much to do and explore there was no reason to go anywhere else. From kayak on the sound to sitting on the porch swing looking at the water, there is something for everyone at this house.
The only issue we had was the refrigerator temperature was an issue. Hoping that can be addressed soon. It truly is a great place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at this property. We will definitely want to book the place again!
We arrived to a beautiful gated property and even with multiple vehicles we had room to park. It is a tight driveway so our bigger rigs were able to get in but I wouldn't recommend any super large vehicles. The place had instructions for entry and once we had arrived it was very easy to get into the home. We stayed in the main victorian home and it was so nice and relaxing. The house had a ton of character and the grounds were beautiful! Highly recommend staying if you are looking for a place for peace and tranquility.

Great location
A beautiful Victorian home, in a great location. We had a few issues with the amenities such as leaky kayaks, 2/4 available boats leaked and were not useable. Also, there were staple items missing from the kitchen that we typically expect to see in a house rental. This included salt, sugar, plastic wrap, ice machine cups and mugs that we felt comfortable taking outside. The cleanliness of the property was also disappointing. Surfaces were clean, but floors and stairs had substantial dirt and dust bunnies in corners and under furniture. For such a high cleaning fee I would have expected better. Hot tub was also finicky, but it worked and we were happy to use it. Overall we would recommend this place, the beach was great and so were the oysters. The house and supplies were a letdown.

Ornate Property Amazing to Explore
This house and property were all a blast for myself and a few friends to explore! We were lucky enough to experience this striking rental during a large snowfall, which meant for amazing snowball fights on the beach followed by a soak in the giant indoor hot tub - it was perfect! Can you discover all the house's secrets?

A magical long weekend
The house is really pretty and the locations is quite peaceful. The kitchen and spa do have some quirks but we were able to manage. The home was nice and cozy. However, the beds weren't super comfortable....

Big and spacious house. The grounds around the house were full of things to do.

Charming home. Excellent communication with manager. There was a dead animal smell coming from the chimney and continued through to the cabinet in the kitchen. The table in the dining room was sticky so we didn’t eat there. Could not find the garbage cans. Could not figure out how to use the hot tub as the labels had worn off. Guide to home is outdated and we were sent two different codes to the front door. Thankfully one worked. The outlets didn’t all work. And the fan by the hot tub quit working on our second day. But the home is charming and has real potential. Somehow dogs ended up on the property and two big ones prevented us fromLeaving on time as my friend is deathly afraid of them. Cleaner came into the house without face mask.

Better than we had hoped
The 100 year old house is updated just enough to be convenient and still retain its Victorian charm. We had a 10 person last minute “covid” wedding and the property was just perfect for it.. property mgmt was very quick to respond to any questions as well. We hope to be back for years to come!!

Unique Home!!
We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the main Victorian home. We checked in @ 5 p.m. and found the cottage was rented, but that family checked out the next morning leaving us to ourselves - which I was grateful for given the virus situation; plus I prefer my privacy.
The grounds are huge, so lots of space to run around outside. We loved having our own private beach! With the house in a cove the waters were calm & perfect for swimming & kayaking!
We ate all our meals at the house & did not need to leave for anything. Enjoyed meals in the kitchen, dining room, the bistro set on the back porch, on the outdoor patio set on the side of the house & down on the grass overlooking the beach! So divine!! We all loved time on the porch swing!!
At one point the sprinklers came on while we were sunbathing, but one of the caretakers buzzed by on her ski boat & told us how to shut them off - which was nice! The owner’s brother also stopped by on his jet ski to tow away one of the kayaks for repair. Both were very nice people who each told me a bit about the history of the home - which I quite enjoyed!
The house is old (built in 1913 I think), so the basement smells as one may expect in an older home, but I would not let that deter you from enjoying this unique home!!
Also, we thought the hot tub would be outside, but it is in the lower level in a sunroom. I personally did not spend much time in it as I would have if it were outside, but the kids (ages 4 - 19) enjoyed it.
Thank you for sharing your home with us. We made some great family memories over our 5 day stay!

Great Place to Stay
We rented two of the houses on this property for a family reunion of sorts. The houses were wonderful and we hope to rent again in the future.
5.0 / 5.0
Water access excellent
The best part of this place is the immediate access to the water and huge gardens to roam around. There are also kayaks for you to borrow and swimming dock out in the water which my family loved. Also loved how isolated the location was though this means you need to plan to buy food heading in and work hard if you want to head out for dinner. There are two houses on the property which means you can share some of the grounds and the water access I suspect, but the other house was empty when we stayed. The house itself is old and has been fairly well maintained. A lot of dark wood around and thick carpets, even a hidden drinks cabinet that thrilled my kids when they spotted it. The owner is super responsive and let us stay to midday on departure day even though checkout was meant to be 10am. Some of the challenges to be aware of, there is only one shower in the house and that is attached to the master bedroom (there is a separate bath tub), the top attic room with four twin beds can get incredibly hot, though there is a mobile AC unit in the room the ventilation duck is not fitted properly so the machine sometimes fights itself; it needed monitoring so this room did not get too hot for the kids. The kitchen has a very expensive Viking stove which is wonderful but you do need to pay careful attention to the notes left by the owner on how to manage the stove. We had issues with toilets blocking, but as someone who has worked with septic tanks before and I know this is a constant battle. Overall, I would return to this house all the quirks are acceptable in this age of house and the quiet, water access is to be treasured. Our favorite spot is right on the swing chair looking out across the water!

Perfect Family & Friends Gathering Place on Puget Sound
The gracefully elegant surround of Wisteria Hollow was both peaceful and functional for gathering members of our daughter's wedding. The Victorian home has been polished with years of use and authenticity, reflecting a time only found in the past. We enjoyed serving guests from the huge kitchen, dinning under the grape arbor, lounging on the balconies, playing basketball on the court, and paddling out on the sound. The wedding party rehearsed on the grounds and were photographed in the pretty master suite. A highlight is the glass shower in the master with views of the tides and an ever present eagle. The location's ambience was magical.

Nice getaway
I only have few suggestions for the house. 1. The faucet for the sink in the kitchen was leaking real bad. We have to shut it down when checking out. 2. The kids room upstair was super hot. We turned on the A/C but there is no hole for hot air from A/C to escape, should have a different kind of AC. 3. Should change all door’s handles. They are old and beat up. 4. Should fix the gates. We couldn’t close the main gate. That’s why 2 big dogs showed up inside the yard while we were chilling and scared my kids away. 5. Should bring garbage and recycle bin inside. Both bins was outside on the street and both are barely full when we checked in. We smelled moldy when we came in, then we had to use our candles to get risk of that strong smell. Overall, we had a good time there. We will come back again someday.

Beautiful space, responsive host
Our group enjoyed a relaxed weekend to celebrate our friend before her wedding. The house was perfect for each of us to do our own thing when we needed and also to come together for seemless bonding of new and old friends. The host was very responsive before and during our stay and incredibly accommodating to ensure we had everything we needed.

Excellent! Incredible! Loved it!
We arrived had an amazing vacation! The house was nostalgic and so charming! We had everything we needed to have an amazing memorable vacation! Took the kayaks out and saw porpoises and seals swimming around us! The kids dug up lots of clams and we cooked them up in the amazing kitchen! After purchasing a license of course. The location is was remote and beautiful, felt quite safe. Hard to leave! Thank you for your hospitality!!

Peace and Tranquality
We stayed at this home with family and friends June 22-24, this home has really nice property with plenty of privacy and so much to do . We enjoyed the beautiful views of the bay and kids had a blast chasing small crabs on the beach . The house is old but has it's own charm , kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals on and grocery store was only few minutes away. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking to stay close to Lakebay or just a getaway to be on the beach . Will definetly return next year .

Lovely place for a family reunion
We came in 2007 for my mom's 70th birthday, and loved it so much, we came back 10 years later for her 80th. The kitchen is AWESOME to cook for a large group. We had 23 people between those who slept over and those who came for the day. There are multiple buildings on the property that can rent separately or together, so there is room for all. We were a little disappointed that the hot tub was not working, but the staff was very accommodating for our request for late check out. Some young adults enjoyed the kayaking, and we had excellent photo ops for the group.

Great, quiet location. Charming older home. Needs a good deep clean.
Wisteria Hollow is a quiet, awesome location on the water. The property is a large lot with beachfront, lawn, fruit trees, patio covered with grape arbor, and beautiful flowers. The house Is an old home with beautiful woodwork and a nice kitchen. We were surprised upon arriving that the house wasn't cleaner, especially with all of the rules attached with staying there. If it were cleaned up then it would be a first class property.

A wonderful escape for our family
Every year we gather with 4 other families for the kids and the adults to get away and unplug from the world. We rented the Wisteria home and the smaller surf shack to accommodate everyone.
It was AMAZING. The view from the back porch is breathtaking during any part of the day. We couldn't get enough of sitting on the porch swing. Who gets to sit on it was the most argued over topic of the week. We ate outside a lot and the acessability of the grill and eating area outside were perfect. The house was great. When the kids weren't in the water exploring on the kayaks, looking for clams and sand dollars on the shore during low tide, they made good use of the open grass area everyday. Between soccer games, volleyball games (we brought our own net), and tag they were beat... which made us parents happy as they now outnumber us.
The house is old and may need some tuning here and there but that is what gives the house its charm. It's nothing to balk about. Lake houses need this kind of charm to make you feel transported to a different place. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms had plenty of hot water for all the kids to shower consecutively. The attic room with the 4 twin beds is really cute. It does get super hot in the evenings but we just turned on a few well placed fans to blow out the hot air to a top window and it was fine. The kitchen is to die for... the grill inside wasn't working but it didn't matter, since we grilled outside a lot anyway. The stove was great and handled prep for a large number of people with no problem at all.
The kayaks were such fun for the kids. They were on them all day. The life jackets were a little dated but they had all the sizes for all the kids. It was plenty for use. The waterfront is not sandy. It's a mix of rocks, broken seashells, dirt, and algae (depending on where the tide is at that time). Flip flops will not cut it. The kids brought their Chaco sandals and they worked perfectly.
Kathryn was easy to connect with and contact when I had questions and she was super helpful. It was a great experience and we can't wait to go back.

it was a 4 star place with all the amenities we needed. a few things could improve the place.
very nice and roomy place. clean for the most part, though the throw rugs could be laundered more frequently.
no toilet paper, bring your own??? Who pays for a hotel or other accommodation and does not have those very basics?
the kitchen was delightful, so big and well stocked. there was only one dishtowel and no dish clothes. had one sponge that had been used for too long.
having so many fans in the bedrooms was great and useful.
the water play was great too. so much to see and do.
they kayaks were fun, though two of them took on water , quickly! must have holes
Sorry about the hot tub,,,,quite unusable. We had brought our suits, as it was advertised.
All in all, it was a nice weekend.
Thank you.
