Everything was right there on the beautiful property trails, hot tub, volleyball, other games, hammock, fire pits etc. and the house itself was just amazing we were a group of 15 and it accommodated everyone amazingly from top to bottom!! The pics online doesn't do this place justice I definitely recommend this place for family vacations or larger group trips for birthdays or girls trip my only con is that we needed a heads up on the drive up to the house it's not for compact cars they can make it up but kinda difficult so it's best to drive a truck,SUV or jeep but it's well worth it to rent one of those types of vehicles if you don't already own one I was fortunately in my Equinox AWD and came up and down easily but some others had compact cars and had minor difficulties but other than that this is an Awesome place to vacation!! There are soooo many more amazing things about this house and property that you will see that I didn't mention because I will be tying forever but again amazing house and property I definitely recommend it!! ❤️ 5⭐s

We had a wonderful time spending time at the beautiful lodge. The children loved playing outside.

The owner is very responsive and has great communication. Was quick to respond when we reached out.
The owner has put a lot of thought into this property. There is so much to do on the property for everyone. It was great exploring the trails and waterfalls, and the mine. They are fully stocked with board games, dvd videos, and books. There are plenty of comfortable sleeping areas.
Lots of places outside to relax...swings, hammock, fire pit, hot tub. You are in nature...so expect bugs of all kinds and sizes. Lots of beautiful birds too.
There is hand soap, but be sure to bring your own soap and shampoo.
To get up to the lodge, with its beautiful view, you go up a very steep and narrow, winding dirt road. It is much easier with 4 wheel drive.
There is a lot to do in the area. Its a great location. Would definitely recommend this lodge for a fun getaway in nature. We had a large group of various ages, and everyone really enjoyed

Amazing property with lots of activities for a family getaway. Think twice about coming in a 15 passenger van. Not the ideal vehicle for the steep mountain road.

Our extended family, ranging from 1-67 years of age, enjoyed a wonderful stay in this clean and spacious home in the Great Smoky Mountains region. There was ample room for sleeping with comfortable beds. The children enjoyed the bunks and spending time with their cousins on the property. It was nice to have so many outdoor and indoor activities to choose from. The kitchen had ample equipment and the second fridge in the basement was very helpful. The owner was very responsive to any questions. The basement is naturally cooler and the top floor a bit toasty but the ceiling fans, space heaters, and box fans supplied throughout make the entire home comfortable. The sturdy built in safety gates were wonderful with little ones and additional ones were supplied to be used as needed. Though others have mentioned the steep, 3/4 mile drive up to the lodge, it is doable. Highly recommend only going up and down in daylight if you are not used to driving on a mountain. This is an excellent location and home for a family getaway.

Our family had a fun 6 day stay at the cabin. After figuring out how to negotiate the long, steep, and curvy gravel driveway when we first got there, we were very pleased with what awaited us at the top. The cabin was everything as described; the grandkids had fun sleeping in the bunkbeds in the play room downstairs, as well as the outdoor swings and games. The adults enjoyed the upstairs and the great outside amenities, including the fire pits and hot tub. Most of all, the two abandoned mines were enjoyed by all.

What a wonderful, magical hideaway this amazing property is. Our family of 16, ages 8-80, spent a week celebrating birthdays and enjoying the comfortable, clean cabin perched on the mountain. There is so much to do on the property, including hikes, abandoned mines, waterfalls, hot tub, fire pit for smores, and a hammock and swings for just relaxing. Sitting on the porch provided an amazing view of the mountains in the distance while the youngsters enjoyed volleyball, corn hole, and horseshoes below. The bedrooms and baths were comfortable and so interestingly appointed with various outdoor themes, and the game room well equipped including bunks to sleep 6. The host was so very welcoming and immediately available for any communication. This property is a jewel for any large group. We loved it and hope to return!

Perfect for a large family There was something to do for all age levels. No one was bored. Good lighting system inside and out, modern technology throughout all furniture was well built and durable everything was in good working condition, very well, secluded and beautiful mountain scenery would highly recommend staying here for large families of all ages or large groups of all ages had a great time!

We traveled to Cherokee/Franklin for a wrestling weekend at The Yona. Four of our families stayed in this home and we had plenty of space. The house was clean, spacious, and had many amenities that kept our crew highly entertained during our stay. Our only complaint is that we didn’t get to enjoy the house as much as we would have liked since we were at a wrestling tournament all weekend.
Each of us agree that we’d love to rent this home again as warmer days approach so we can really enjoy not just the home, but the amazing property the lodge offers.
We had great communication leading up to our trip. Absolutely no complaints.

Location and property was awesome. Facilities and amenities were plenty. Clean and neat. Great outdoor. Great kitchen, plenty of dishes, plates, pots, pans. We enjoyed our stay. Kids enjoyed the basement with all the games.
Lady bugs and stink bugs somehow find their way and were everywhere, including beds.

My church youth group had a great stay here and enjoyed all the outdoor space. Lots of lady bugs inside but otherwise the house is beautiful and has lots of space for a large group. The driveway wasn’t too bad but it’s definitely an experience! We would stay here again!

Second stay at this wonderful lodge. Kids and grandkids all had a great time together. So much to do there that you need not leave the property. Owners have gone to great length to make this place special!

Everything about this property is wonderful. There is so much to do and the lodge is huge and beautifully decorated. The driveway was a little scary the first time up but not quite so after that initial time. I don’t advise you to attempt it the first time in the dark. Can’t think of anything negative to say about this property. The Mountain Views were amazing and especially in the morning with the fog. We all had a fantastic mountain vacation and would love to come back again sometime.

First and foremost the beds are super comfortable. The entire family commented on good sleeping. All activities pictured in the house were great. The host was super fast with communication and we even explored the mine. Great Kitchen, grill, etc. Highly recommend this place. The best part is that the owners use this place which usually means it has all the little things you need. The pictures don't do it justice.

We really enjoyed our week at the Lodge. The Lodge is comfortable and well-equipped, and we took advantage of all of the amenities (air hockey, foosball, hot tub, fire pits, tetherball, sand court, trails, etc).
There ended up being 11 of us, and we never felt cramped given the large great room, finished basement and beautiful loft. We used the wall of bunks, which worked well for us as we had some working remotely and needing the privacy of the bedrooms. Internet also worked fine, allowing remote work for 2 for a couple of days.
Plenty to do in the area as well, and every trip out leads you through beautiful mountains and valleys. The Lodge is located within an easy drive of Franklin for groceries, churches and anything you might need.
Driveway is steep and gravel, but well-maintained. Our loaded FWD minivan handled it with no issues. And the drive up the mountain helps set the stage for the peace and privacy you will find at the Lodge.
Communication and hospitality from owner was excellent.
Note that some of the play equipment has a 100lb weight limit, but the kids that were under that really enjoyed the zipline and swings.
Truly a great place to recharge with family and soak in the beauty of God's creation. Great way to start the summer!

We decided to rent a home for Spring break that would allow us to completely relax, play games, and hike straight off the property. This home was perfect for us and even better than expected! Thank you for providing exactly what we wanted! Everyone had a great time and not a single complaint was heard from any of our four kids (aged 16-10) during the entire trip --- that is saying something!

The house was perfect for a large group of people! There were tons of things to do and kept everyone busy for the week stay. We never ran out of hot water and had 19 people using it, super plus for me. Communication with the owner was quick but only needed for early check in request ;) Would stay again and would recommend to anyone else looking to stay!

We had a wonderful time at The Lodge! From the game room to the fire pit, the jacuzzi, the endless outdoor activities, the two living rooms (one with full gaming selections) to the wall in showers, jetted tub to the super comfortable beds and the two balconies, all of it! The decor was beautiful. Every single thing about the place was inviting and completely intentional. No details were missed! The kids truly enjoyed the s’mores by the fire pit. We enjoyed the views and all the extra love put into the cabin and the surround grounds. When I say nothing was forgotten, I mean nothing was forgotten. This cabin was all inclusive with every needed item, every cozy blanket, every type of pillow, even a yummy ice making machine! We also enjoyed reading the never ending story book and all the fun signs around the cabin and just simply being together with family and friends in such an amazing place. Highly recommend this cabin to others. Great vacation!

We had a group of 16 and had the best week! Everyone was in awe at how much there was to do on the property. Loved the fire pit areas, had many laughs around the fires. The hot tub got used regularly. We cooked meals 6 out of the 7 nights we stayed and always had everything we needed. All the beds were comfy. So many games and entertainment. We had some runners try the Beasley Challenge and I sent their times to the owner, who is very responsive. We didn’t want to leave!

Our stay at the Lodge at Beasley Mine was nothing short of amazing. This cabin quite literally has it all....better than it appears in the photos. Boredom was non-existent....even for hard to please kids. The abandoned mines were such a cool added bonus that the kids and adults kept venturing back in. Huge fire pits, awesome swing (a fav of the kids), big hot tub, relaxing hammock, giant rec room, and an unbeatable view. Kitchen was well appointed, house was clean, check in was easy, and the owner was easy to communicate with. This is an exceptional property- definitely don't pass it up!

Beasley Mine Lodge
There were 8 adults and 6 children. Age ranges from 3 to 65. Something for everyone to do either inside or outside. Lots of stairs outside that may limit activity for elderly.
Cozy and well decorated inside with everything you needed to prepare meals. We were there a week and never ate out once!
Definitely need to take the walk up to the mines. Bring flashlights or head lamps and a fluorescent flashlight is great for gem mining!
This place is great for the lovers of the outdoors!

Great cabin and views.
The road up was a challenge on motorcycles, but my group had no problems. Inexperienced riders should park at the bottom and drive up in car/truck.

Amazing house!
The house is fantastic; the location is perfect for connecting with nature and completely disconnecting from the daily hustle. Lots of activities for the kids and adults; the fire pits are very cool and perfect during this time of the year to be outside and enjoy nature. Ricky is a great host. The process was very organized and clear. We'll definitely come back.

Amazing
This property could not be any more perfect. We had 15 people total, 6 adults and 9 children from 7-13 years old. There were plenty for all to enjoy. Our Florida kids enjoyed being fully immersed in the mountains with the fun terain and crisp mountain air. The parents loved the ability to allow our children the freedom to explore without worrying about strangers. We hope to be back. It was a thoroughly relaxing vacation and we all returned reset and ready to take on our responsibilities for a while.

Amazing Property!
We had an amazing time at Beasley Mine Lodge! The property was great and had enough room for our large group (8 adults & 8 children) enough for everyone to space out and find something fun to do. We had a great time hiking on the property and found both mines, we also found another in the national park! We look forward to another trip in the future to this amazing property!

Christmas 2021
This location was amazing! Something to do for everyone in our party! We enjoyed hiking to the beautiful caves they are worth the hike and well described in the book on their location that was placed in the cabin. Tristan trail was my favorite as there was a beautiful waterfall. We wish we had more time and everyday I wish I was back there. The cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The owner was amazing with assistance and immediate response for every question I asked prior and during booking. I can't say enough about the lodge at beasley mine. It is definitely worth it. There were alot of reviews about the driveway I read prior to our visit which had me concerned and expected the worse however it was raining the day we arrived and there are signs along the way telling you exactly what to do and we followed the instructions and the drive way was a breeze even in the rain for us. I can't say enough about how amazing this cabin was and to have all my family in the same location was truly a tradition we will be following. We will definitely return to the lodge at beasley mine and am forever grateful to the owner for allowing us to spend our Christmas there.

Incredible property!
This place has at all. The house is huge, and all the beds are super comfy. Plenty of room for tons of people, and a fully stocked kitchen. But the outside of this place is where it’s at! Huge fire pit area, actually several, and the recreation area is amazing. Very unique. Volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, cornhole, swings, hot tub, hammock… There’s absolutely nothing you could want for that isn’t here. They have these really pretty outdoor lights around the hot tub swing and Hammock area, which was a great place to hang out at night! And the basement is fully stocked with toys also. We had many hours on that ping-pong table! And even though our kids were all teenagers, sleeping in the bunk areas were no problem. This place was absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things about it. We hope to rent it again!!!!

Spectacular!
What a beautiful home! We had such a great week. The house us beyond words to describe. This is really more like a resort than just a log cabin. Lots of games and thoughtful little details to make our stay comfortable and fun. Loved the firepit and all the seating on the decks.
Note: we have stayed at other cabins that say not suitable for motorcycles and had no issues, but the road/driveway really is pretty hairy so definitely do not recommend for new/unsure riders. We didn't have any issues in the end, but definitely made us weary going up and down.

Be prepared for the driveway
The first time up the driveway was a bit of a surprise but I got used to it. It would not hurt to have 4wd. The property was great but I will say don't choose this place even partially based on it having a hot tub. The condition of it was poor.

Adventures galore! A great place for the whole family.
As others stated, you never have to leave the property. Our kids were able to be outside, explore the trails and find all the hidden gems that were placed throughout the property. We loved the hikes, the mines, the swings and the view-AMAZING!
As others said the first time up the driveway, whew! But once you get it down your good. We made lots of memories here and loved the time away! Thanks Ricky for everything.

Second Visit to LBM with Old Friends
This is the second time in 4 years our pack of friends and kids have stayed at LBM. After our last visit we kept talking about our memories there and how there is so much to do not only at the Lodge but around the area that we decided late last year to just book another trip. From the trails to the hot tub to the comfortable beds we were definitely happy with our decision. Kids are all teens now and love the place. White water rafting and golf were on the itinerary along with BBQ in town and a couple breweries. The air was cool the last couple nights and so we enjoyed the fire pits and hot tub.
Loved the whole stay and if you’re looking for a place to relax and/ or adventure for a wide range of interests for people in your group then this is the place.

Family Vaca 2021
This was our second time at the lodge and we loved it so much that we booked our return visit for the family in 2022. This is the perfect place for our family to come together and reconnect for the week. There is something for everyone, not only is the house spectacular, but the outdoor space is incredible. We took full advantage of corn hole, volleyball, zip line, rock climbing wall, hot tub, trails, and cave exploration to name some of the fun things available during the day. Evenings, we enjoyed the fire pits, board games, and a couple of family movie nights. We created so many great memories. Thank you Howe family for sharing your lovely home with our family!

Great Vacation or Get-A-Way Destination
The Lodge at Beasley Mine is a fantastic secluded property that our family of 16 thoroughly enjoyed. We have vacationed in NC mountains for many years and the family said because of this house, this was the best vacation ever. The downstairs game room and bunk beds were a huge hit for the younger teens, while the rest of the family enjoyed the views from the porch, explored the trails, waterfalls and mines. Everything we needed for a enjoyable and relaxing time was at our fingertips. Our host was amazing with communications and advice before, during and after our stay. If you get the opportunity to book a stay at the Lodge, don't hesitate because it won't last long.

It was an unforgettable experience the property is enormous with multiple sights and adventures. Plan a day or two exploring the property and the adjacent National forest, in the forest is the beasley#2 mica mine also called Bradley butt mine, it has several entrances and has some spectacular sights inside the shafts, exercise caution when exploring them and have safe fun.
