Come experience the chill, coastal vibes of our quaint little beach town...welcome to Beach Shanty! Nestled on the quiet side of a darling complex, this newly renovated listing has everything you need for a perfect beach get-away. Beach Shanty is a one bedroom, one bathroom, but it can sleep 5 people. And with only one block from the beach, and a 5 minute walk into the adorable town of Carpinteria, this townhouse is in a fantastic location!

The dining area seats 4 and the kitchen is well equipped for a great vacation. The living room has a comfortable sofa that pulls out to a queen sized bed and a large flat screen TV. There is an additional BONUS brand new twin bed just added during the remodel, also downstairs for a 5th guest. Upstairs is a brand new king sized bed. All bedding is brand new and super comfortable. Both beds have down duvets. There is also a twin inflatable mattress + bedding, or a sleeping bag so guests can actually sleep an additional-additional person (a 6th!), if needed! We've also added a new flat screen tv in the bedroom upstairs as well. Both with cable and WIFI throughout. The bathroom upstairs has been completely updated. New shower, new vanity and sink and new mirror. The entire place has a fresh coat of paint and new flooring throughout and all new furnishings. This remodel is as of June 2024.

A designated covered parking space is provided as well as a laundry room available for guests.

This is a City of Carpinteria licensed vacation rental. Lic # 1194-VR-24.12% transient occupancy tax is collected on the rent and cleaning portions of each rental charge, per City ordinance.

Perfect place for us to stay while attending graduation in SB. Very well equipped kitchen and excellent sleeping arrangements. Easy parking as well.

Had a wonderful stay, had everything we would have needed and more than we expected. Really lovely vacation rental and had plenty of space and have stayed many places in this beach town and this is a nice cozy condo walking distance from the beach. Looking forward to next year.

Overall we had a good stay in this place. The location is great and the condo was clean. The drainage needs some repair. The water backs up in the shower and sinks. We had a hard time getting our code to check in and the lock box needs some repair. Kyle Kimberlin was responsive to our inquiries and helping us out. Check out was easy. We would stay again but hope for the plumbing to be fixed.

This condo is not really a place to hang out, just a place to sleep. It was nice to have a place to make coffee and a light breakfast, but very dark to spend time. We’d also like to say the place needs a good deep cleaning (We cleaned the bathroom fan as it was caked with dust, wiped down the shower and many surfaces). The vacuum in the closet was covered in dust and the bag full. We cleaned off the surface but did not use it. Wiring for tv,Wi-Fi, etc. would be a huge hazard if children were staying and should be bundled and secured. We did enjoy the proximity to the ocean.

the property is just as described - it is small and it has everything- it is a bit dated but functioning. the pull out couch is not that comfortable if you have a third person. the neighborhood is so cute and has many fun shops and good places to eat. the beach is a block away and the sunsets are amazing!

We had a great experience here, perfect location! Love the laid back style of the home and the neighborhood. Short walk to Linden St and literally a 2 min (maybe less) walk to the beach!! We’ll be staying here again for sure.

The pictures and previous reviews accurately describe this small condo. The manager responds quickly and is very helpful. Location is just a short block to beach. Very safe and quiet. It was perfect for the two of us, but would be crowded for four due to small couch and no other seating except 3 wooden chairs at table and two bar stools. We brought our own beach towels, owners had two nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs. Lots of good small restaurants, we always use Yelp for local finds. The Santa Barbara airport (and car rentals) are extremely easy to use, and just a 20 minute drive.

All in all it was GREAT. Loved the perfect location in a quiet street 2 blocks from one of the central coast's most beautiful beaches. Local businesses adjusted for COVID-19 Lockdown. The kitchen had all cooking essentials. This was a pleasant get away.

We were quite happy staying here, especially for the price. It's a clean, well kept place and very functional for the casual beach-going family we are. We didn't use the TV much, but it was useful to distract the kids at times. There were a few things that a picky traveller would point out: - the assortment of kitchenware was not the best, and some things we could not find (like a strainer) - the dining table could be bigger - no oil/vinegar for cooking - there were some issues with the heating and bathroom fan Overall, however, these things did not worry us. In addition, Kyle was super responsive (considering that it was Thanksgiving) and proactive about addressing our slightest concerns. Thanks! We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
