About this villa rental
Bluff House is perched on a Bluff overlooking its own private cove. It is secluded, breezy and beautiful. It is a three minute walk from the famous Half Moon Bay, a one mile stretch of white sandy beach boasting turquoise blue waters with both calm and tranquil spots to swim or waves perfect for body boarding and advanced kite surfing. On and near the beach are also two local run restaurants. Bluff House is a ten minute drive from Non-Such Bay and resort which is a five minute boat trip from one of the top kite surfing destinations in the world. It is a 25 minute drive from Falmouth and English Harbour with its historical sites, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, shops and one of the two largest Super and Mega Yachting hubs in the Caribbean. Bluff House boasts a swimming pool, games room (with pool table, darts, table tennis and surround sound), four outdoor eating areas, two separate en-suite cottages (sleeps two in each) with outdoor showers. The main house has a fully equipped kitchen with larder and pantry, a welcoming entrance way and dining room and comfortable lounge. The lounge has a 50 inch TV. The sound is played through a surround sound bose stereo system. All rooms in the main house have 4G internet access through a wifi router and large booster antenna. A local mobile phone is provided with the house for local calls. Separate to the main house and cottages there is a laundry room, generator room, covered surf shed and store room/office. There are electric gates with pedestrian side entrance that opens onto ample parking, a paved soccer court and gardens. The property is fully fenced in. Bluff House would be best described as a retreat. It boasts more than a 180 degree ocean view with not another dwelling or home in sight. It could best be enjoyed as a romantic getaway, or by two close families, or by a gang of friends eager to kite surf. It provides ultimate / complete privacy for those trying to escape the lime light and would be considered a writers dream! Bluff House is a lovely home with a family feel set in a beautiful location.

Beautiful well-maintained home on a property with spectacular views, it was the perfect place for our family to reconnect and rejuvenate. The kitchen & bar were equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms, each with their own bathroom & shower, allowed everyone to have their own private space. Plenty of clean linens & towels. The game room & outdoor court provided hours of fun & we had some epic family competitions. The multiple dining & seating areas were places of many great conversations. Little did we know that the pelicans & roaming goats would offer hours of fascination. So happy there were binoculars to use. The pool was perfect for a refreshing dip or to hang out, soak up the sun & admire the gorgeous view. The utter openness of the home allows you to see the beautiful vista, hear the lull of the waves and feel the ocean breeze; all at once from pretty much anywhere. Magnificent! The evening views of the starry sky & moonlit sea were breathtaking. Half Moon Bay is a short, simple walk offering beautiful sandy beaches & stunning blue water. It was wonderful to explore with the snorkeling gear available at Bluff House. The local restaurants served delicious food.
The sheer privacy, tranquility & accommodations the home provided, made us feel we had our own safe & secure luxurious resort.
Thank you Pammie & Mike for being such wonderful hosts. Your caretaker was amazing, responsive & welcoming as well. We are so grateful for the experience!

Having visited Antigua for the first time last year in May with my teenage son, we decided on a rainy September day to book flights to return as a family along with my son's best friend. Many months searching for the right property resulted in me booking Bluff House, followed by further months of anticipation.
As we knew the island, I knew what to expect with Half Moon Bay and the general lack of local amenities (e.g. supermarket) so we planned for this and made sure we stocked up at the supermarket in Saint John's. Car hire is essential and if you are looking for nightlife close by, this is not the place for you. If, however, you are looking to get away from it all, spend time together, marvel at the scenery in a truly private location, this could be just what you are looking for.
We had an amazing time, and Bluff House is clearly a place for making memories, evidenced by the many family pictures on the walls. This was obviously a cherished family home and I very much wish that I could still wake up to the sounds of the waves crashing, the crickets and tree frogs chirping and the pelicans diving, with a plop, for fish!
The kids loved it, beach and pool were amazing, and the games room on a rainy day was a dream!
The house is well-equipped and would ordinarily receive a 10 out of 10, but I have to be honest with the review. With such an exposed location, the house definitely needs some TLC to bring it up to the standard of the photos e.g. decking. It would then be a 10

We have just returned from our stay at Bluff House which was simply incredible. It is located in the most special, remote setting by Half Moon Bay. We hired a car and travelled around the whole island but our favourite place was Half Moon Bay for sure. The Beach Bum Bar there is all you need and we will definitely be back! The house was so well equipped with bodyboards for surfing, music system, ping pong, pool…and the view from the table outside watching the pelicans dive into the water was amazing. This is a one of a kind house if you are looking to get away from lots of people and enjoy the most beautiful beach with the best beach bar. Thank you Pammie for letting us experience it. Katie

I usually scour the Internet for the perfect holiday home for me and my family and when I came across Bluff house it looked perfect. It's so remote with wonderful views. My youngest wanted to play hide and seek here but I had to tell him no as I feared I would never find him again as the place is so vast! We had breakfast and dinner on the picnic bench with the waves crashing below and the pelicans swooping past. Inside the house the kids were happy with having WiFi and YouTube on the TV in the evenings as well as table tennis and the pool table. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need including a massive fridge freezer (Very jealous) and an ice cold water cooler. The beds were very tidy and good sizes. Pool was lovely, gets a nice bit of shade in the afternoon and we was shown by Raheem the storage box full of towels we could use. The LED lighting at night on the pool and outside seating area entices you out to make good use of the areas in the evening. We did use the basketball court and played a bit of football. We saw so many creatures outside the house, lizards, birds, crabs even a horse spider which I never told the kids about until we were back home. Mwahaha! There are a few small maintenance issues that could be sorted. Small tiles are coming off the pool making the floor slightly sharp in a couple of places, a few of the bathroom sinks could do with adjusting as they don't drain very fast and the plug in Little cove cottage sink didn't stay down. We had planned to let my teenage son stay in the Hideaway cottage but we did feel it was quite far away from the rest of the family. Would be fine for couples and has a wonderful balcony with comfy seats but felt not as ideal for kids. Security light also kept coming on all night right outside the master bedroom (not sure if it was the wind or birds but would be handy to turn it off or move to a different place) Lastly we know air con is not offered but we would have gladly paid an extra £200-300 for the privilege as it was hot all week. We had the doors open during the day but didn't feel comfortable having them open at night with no nets or curtains to keep mosquitos out. Fans in every room were very handy but unfortunately doesn't compare to air con. We loved our stay here and with the added bonus of Half Moon Bay with beach bum bar just a 5-10min walk away which we frequently used. We fully recommend this villa to anyone thinking of staying in Antigua as it is amazing!!

When we booked Bluff House, we drooled over the photos, counting down the days until we could experience it for real. However, the photos can't convey the impact of arriving at this wonderful house. The sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs, the beautiful cooling breeze, or the simple joy of watching the pelicans fishing for hours on end cannot be conveyed in any other way, you simply have to be there!
This is a well equipped, spacious property, with the added advantage of being a 10 minute walk from Half Moon Bay, one of our favourite beaches in Antigua.
Our favourite part? It's hard to beat the simple pleasure of an early morning breakfast on the deck, watching the sunrise. It is a memory which will stay with us forever.

Unique location close to a fabulous beach
Our family of 5, plus a boyfriend, spent 10 days over the Easter period at Bluff House. The accommodation was ideal and the beds so comfortable that we all slept better than we had for years, lulled by the waves in the cove and the soft breezes that replaced any need for air con. The house is shabby chic with covered outdoor sitting and dining areas where one can sit and watch the pelicans fish and the kitchen is well equipped. There is a lovely pool and Half Moon Beach is literally an easy two minute walk. Depending on the weather, the two ends of the beach are suitable for swimming and the centre is more of a surf beach. The Beach Bum cafe (Tipee's) serves excellent food but it is advisable to get there early or pre-order to avoid a long wait as all food is cooked to order. Bluff House was ideal for our stay and although it is quite remote, we enjoyed driving round the island to visit other beaches and restaurants and Shirley Heights on a Sunday or Thursday is a must!

Magical paradise
I am hesitant to write this review as this place is so beautiful and amazing I would love to keep it a secret. The location was a absolutely amazing. You do not need to leave. Swimming, hiking or simply enjoying the view and relaxing were the highlights for us. We had three generations and all had a fabulous time. The beach is about a 5 to 10 min walk. The water was clear and the beach sandy- waves were so fun!! The hiking on the bluff was spectacular. The house was perfect in every way. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen had everything single things we could want or need. Beds were all very comfortable. So many different rooms to hang out and look at the view of the bay. We drove to galleon bay beach for snorkeling and I must say, it was some of the best-and doable for ages 10 to 70! We stocked up on groceries by the airport-the driving is adventurous and slow, but so worth it. Obviously, we highly recommend.

A Magical Place on Earth
Words cannot describe the magic of Bluff House. Set high atop a secluded bay with waves crashing, pelicans diving, sun and moon rising and setting, this place will take your breath away.
From the moment we entered the guarded gate-house, we felt safe and secure.
The owner and the property manager were more than attentive to our needs, although after checking in we had no needs. Everything was thoughtfully taken care of. The chef’s kitchen was fully stocked with everything you can possibly need for gourmet meals. If you don’t feel like cooking there is a restaurant on the beach- under three minutes walk- that blew our minds. The chef denied having any culinary training- but the meals served said otherwise!!!
I can’t even count the number of showers- indoor and outdoor- all fully stocked with lush linens.
The home is very well maintained and super clean.
Our one week at the Bluff House is rated in our books as “experiential”. Not just a vacation, an experience… we will forever remember our time here.
We are so grateful to Pammie and Mike for sharing.
Having seen all of Antigua, we highly, highly recommend the Bluff House. It’s unforgettable.

The Bluff- Vacation Heaven
This property was awesome. A retreat that offered privacy, and beautiful views of the ocean, we even saw a whale as we'll as a swimming pool that we used we used each day. A very short walk took us to the beach. Clean and well furnished home made our vacation very special. The housekeep and gardener were excellent. I would highly recommend this home for a very special vacation away from the crowds.

Definitely secluded!!
This property is very private and secluded. It is a couple of minutes walk from Half Moon Bay. We were disappointed that all other beaches within proximity were on private land and only accessible by boat. We therefore had to drive a minimum of 25 minutes to get to the next beach. If laying by the pool or visiting the same beach is your preference, this place is perfect. If trying to hit as many beaches as possible is your thing, this place is on the opposite side of the island to most of the other beaches. The property owner was very responsive to some issues that we had and the caretakers were very nice. I would give this property a 10 out of 10 had it not been for the issues we encountered with the property and the fact that we only had access to one local beach. 7 out of 10.

Spectacular spot
We had a wonderful time in Antigua and at Bluff House. The house is located on an absolutely gorgeous piece of property with breathtaking views. We woke up every morning and went to sleep every night to the sound of the crashing surf. The house is very comfortable, the pool was glorious and the game room was a huge hit. The walk to Half Moon Bay beach is literally two minutes away and is, in our opinion, the prettiest beach on the island. We would happily stay at Bluff House again.

A paradise for our family!
Our family had a wonderful time in this private escape! The house was very large (larger than we actually required), well equipped with every thing we could need, and a stone's throw to a gorgeous beach.
The home owner's were fabulous - I don't think we could have asked for better people to rent from - and the staff (namely Wendy) were very welcoming and friendly.
Half Moon Bay, less than two minutes walk away, is a large and lovely beach (but fairly secluded, so it isn't overrun with tourists), and there is two places to eat less than five minutes walk from the home - the Beach Bum Cafe & Smiling Harry's - both excellent choices for a good quick meal. And a short 10 minute drive away is The Road House Restaurant, which has a popular Reggae night on Sunday's.
You really can't go wrong with this location as your home base in Antigua if you are looking to get away from the crowds, but stay within range of the fun!
We particularly enjoyed listening to the surf crash into the rock's below the bluff at night. It was exceedingly peaceful and a wonderful way to go to sleep.
A sincere thank you Pammie & Mick for making this a wonderful vacation for us! Your kindness will be remembered.
