About this cabin rental

Each home we’re involved with is thoroughly cleaned and aired to support your comfort, safety and health. Linens and towels go through the sanitizer laundry cycle prior to your arrival; we do our best to provide you with a real "home" experience.
All of our laundry detergents and cleaning products are unscented and from name brand manufacturers. As much as possible, we want to provide you with an allergy free experience in your home for your holiday.

Enjoy beautiful Salida in the last remaining cabin from the historic Kimberlin’s Log Cabin Court. This motor court, which was built in 1936 on the edge of the historic district, is a short walk to downtown via First Street or you can follow the delightful river walk that takes you along the banks of the Arkansas River and past several of the rapids braved by kayakers, rafters, anglers and swimmers alike.
"BubbiBel's Cabin" has been completely remodeled. No longer is there a lean-to attached for a mechanic shop and dairy. Instead, she has been transformed to provide comfort and accessibility after a long day of adventures in town, on the water, or out on the trails.
Bubbibel's Cabin has a full kitchen with a convection oven. A large table easily seating six for dining with friends and family, a living room for relaxing, and a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed that will have you sawing enough logs every night to make another cabin.
After a restful night’s sleep, you can freshen up in the generous, walk-in/roll-in shower. The cabin is ADA-compliant with extra-wide, 36” doors and zero thresholds. This is even helpful when you are bringing in lots of luggage or after a busy day of shopping downtown.
Additionally, your private outdoor garden is filled with flowers and a shaded patio with mature fruit trees. You enjoy fantastic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Tenderfoot Hill (aka “S” Mountain) while you grill or enjoy your favorite beverage. This is living!

Wonderful property- better than pictured. Great location. Close to downtown but also quiet. Right river trail.

Our stay was lovely and the cabin worked great for us and our infant. Everything was so close and within walking distance. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We’ll absolutely plan to return on our next trip to Salida!

We really loved this property. They did a great job with the remodel and it is decorated very nicely (no old snow shoes on the wall, or a carved bear anywhere to be seen - possible violation of Colorado rental laws). It was a perfect size for the two of us and our dog.
The location is great for walking into town as the river walk ends right by it. There’s also a nice area in the front to sit out and have a drink if the weather’s nice.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

I had a wonderful stay at this rental. It was clean, spacious, and incredibly convenient to downtown. The only downside was the loud window AC unit in the living area, which could be a bit disruptive during hot days. Nevertheless, I'd recommend the cabin as a great place to stay in Salida. Book with confidence!

Honestly one of the best experiences we have ever had on VRBO.
Host team was superb and helpful at every turn. Property itself was fantastic as advertised.
Salida is a fantastic little town. We will be back!

Beautiful, updated cabin with some unique touches. The king size bed was super comfortable and the shower was nice and big! My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this vacation rental and loved Salida! There is a river walk right behind the house and it was fun to stop and watch the surfers when walking to town. We really appreciated the host allowing an early check in. Absolutely loved our stay and give this Vrbo a 5 star rating!

Perfecto!!!
We visit Salida every year, and this little cottage was the best place we have stayed. It's so well situated and appointed with everything you need for your staycation or vacation. Our dogs loved how close we were to the water, and we thoroughly enjoyed the short walk into town. We hope to rebook in the future.

Great Salida Stay!
This is one of those reviews I hate to write because this is such a great little place for all things Salida and the Collegiates that I'd prefer it remain a bit undiscovered. Communication from the host was outstanding and appreciated. The Cabin is in a great location and has a nice fenced yard for furry friends to enjoy. The small home is well equipped with everything you need for an excellent stay. I love the touch of the neon sign inside! It is ADA compliant as outlined in the listing, so everyone can enjoy this amazing area of Colorado from a fantastic well outfitted basecamp. Thank you Bill and team!

Perfect cabin in town
This was an excellent rental for us and our lab. Just the right size and less than half a mile into the center of town. No tubing, kayaking or rafting in the Arkansas this time of year however still pleasant to walk our dog in the riverside parks.

Great Cabin
This was our second stay at this cabin, and did not disappoint again. Great location for walking to downtown, and a short drive up to Monarch. Bill even came by on New Years Eve and brought us a bottle of champagne. Would definitely recommend this cabin.

Love this place
This is the second time I’ve rented this place for a short vacation. My dog and I had a great time both times we’ve stayed here. The place is clean and they are very attentive to anything you need. They even made some upgrades since the last time I was there. The gate in the yard was so nice for being able to sit outside with the dog. Would definitely recommend!

The property is nestled perfectly in the town of Salida. Close enough to town to walk anywhere like the river, park and restaurants. We will be back and will happily book this sweet little cabin again! Bill and Toni a huge thank you for making our stay so great!

Mom's weekend away
The cabin was amazing. It was the perfect location from downtown. Only issue we ran into was the TV in livingroom had speaker issues but we were not there for watching TV. The outside was amazing with the beautiful flowers.

Unique cabin
The cabin and the hosts were the best! Everything exceeded our expectations. The unique cabin is perfectly located to enjoy the town, and private enough to be romantic. We loved it so much, we’re returning in a few days.

Comfortable Dog-Friendly Cabin
This house has many of my favorite features in a VRBO: lots of natural light, newer furnishings, comfortable bed, switch-on faux fireplace, and no carpet! I had everything I needed and appreciated being able to stay here with my dog. It was clean except for the windowsills/screens, I know it's hard with how windy and dusty it is in Salida but that's why I gave a 4 for cleanliness. I have to point out that this cabin is basically in the parking lot of a condo complex, and this is not really evident from the picture or description. This would be great if you are coming with a larger group and can rent one of the condos also, but for me I'd rather have a little bit more of a yard/separation from a parking lot. The street it's on is pretty busy for Salida, mainly in the morning and evening. Other than that it is a great location, has plenty of room for 1-3 people (I didn't try the pull-out couch but it is almost new and was very comfortable as a couch), and is ADA accessible which I think is rare in a VRBO! The owner and concierge were very responsive and I had an easy check-in and out.

Cute cabin
Loved staying in this cute little cabin. Close walking distance to downtown Salida and the river! Cabin was just as described in the listing.
Only complaint is the floors were dirty and dusty other than that it was clean.
Will return again!

When we walked through the door we immediatly felt comfortable.
The house had all we needed and more than we expected. The location was as advertised within easy walking distance to all the downtown Salida amenities which was great. The house itself had all the things required to make our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. It is a great match for the Salida "vibe" which we greatly enjoyed. The topper was great service from both Bill and Hillary. We plan on being back!

Cozy Cottage
Lovely cottage, artfully decorated. Bedroom had great windows that let in light, but invited sleep. Bed was firm but
soft. We loved the kitchen, and enjoyed restaurants nearby.
All and all a great place to stay! Thanks for making this available.

Perfect spot
When we walked in our kids said, “Wow, this is nicer than the pictures!” And I replied, “That is what one of the reviews said.” Well, it’s true. There is plenty of room for everyone and it’s probably the best supplied kitchen I’ve ever seen at a VRBO property. It was a great location for exploring Salida and walking along the river. We enjoyed sitting in the small, shaded front garden. I highly recommend this property.
