This was the third time I've booked thru Vacasa. This is the first bad experience I've had. This home shouldn't be in their inventory. The dining area furniture on both floors needs to be replaced. On the first level some of the chairs are missing so many of their supports that we were afraid to sit on them. On the second level some of the chairs were to big for the table.
The air intakes for the air conditioners need their filters replaced. They look like they haven't been replaced the 3 years. That is probably why the air conditioner is having trouble keeping the house cool. The home has a serious ant problem. It needs a exterminator visit.
There is no key for the community pool. When we received the code for the house it said the community pool takes a code. It does not. It takes a key that does not exist in the house. When we called to complain we were told that there was nothing they could do about it. Don't advertise a pool if it isn't available to guests.
The worst part is that the floor of the house on the first floor has a soft spot. It is by the french doors with the rusted security fence. It's is probably where the ants are living. Just a matter of time before someone's foot goes through the floor. The beds are hard as rock and some are so old the if you move during the night the springs will creak loud enough to wake you up. Save yourself the headache and book something else. Also if your wanting to be near Galveston City be aware that this house is about 40 minutes away from the sea wall. I would never rent this house again and feel like I paid way to much. Save yourself the headache book something else.

First, there was nothing wrong with Vacasa. Their customer service was great, responsive, and seemed to care. This is more a call to action on a house that had a lot more potential. This is not a complaint about them UNLESS they were in charge of ensuring the home's cleanliness.
I'm not exaggerating when I say we were promptly greeted by roaches in the living room and a couple pools of water in the kitchen. The house was not mopped, as evident by the black, dirty feet we had after our first stroll through the house. There were significant amount of food crumbs in between the couch cushions that were protruding out.
The beds were made, and the counters appeared to be wiped down. The beds were a little hard, but I didn't mind that. Plenty of sleeping options was nice.
There was trash left out from the previous occupant. The outdoor showers desperately need to be cleaned and touched up. Huge spider webs everywhere, I don't know if anyone has showered there since the 90s. The house out front also has a hole in it.
Other than the roaches (new ones every day) and the condition of the floor, it was a good time with family.

The property was filthy when we got there. The floors were sandy and sticky, the dishes in the cabinets had crumbs on them, the dishwasher and washer and dryer did not work. The whole house is in a state of disrepair. Trash was overflowing from the garbage cans outside when we checked in to the point that there were maggots by the garbage cans. The grass was long so there were tons of mosquitoes. Some beds that were already made had crumbs in them. There was hardly any toilet paper, dish soap, and paper towels to get us started. To add insult into injury they supplied us with a code to the pool but there was no pool. When we called to inquire on the location of the pool they said a key was required. We were sent on a wild goose chase all over the house looking for the pool key. When we couldn't find it they said one would be brought over and they'd clean the house and empty the trash while they were at it. You know where this is going, nobody showed up to do any of the promised services. The sad thing is that this was probably a good house at some point but neglect has just caused it to be a dump. There were roaches in the kitchen and in one bedroom. I'm surprised this listing is on Expedia, Vacasa, and VRBO. It is a dump but I guess the joke is on me since I was excited to find a reasonably priced vacation home. It should have been free

We loved all the sleeping spaces, it was very clean and the air conditioning worked wonderfully!!! Definitely recommend this home to any family!!

location very good only the cleanliness is a 3
6.0 / 10.0
The good things: plenty of space for my family of 16 and having 4 restrooms also helped. Not immaculate clean but clean enough.
The bad: beds are very uncomfortable, a/c upstairs was not working well so kinda hot up there. Needs more pots and pans for cooking. The ones there were very crappy. No cleaning supplies or brooms or mops to clean up while you’re there so take your own.
All in all it was just ok. I’ve been in better and I’ve been in worse. You can tell the house is just used for just rental so everything in there is very cheaply made. 3 out of 5 stars for me…..

We loved all the beds in the house. Pet slept our family as we celebrated a 70th birthday. They were minor issues like no broom to sweep up with, not a lot of gas in the grill, and a coffee pot that had seen better days. Luckily, I always travel with a coffee pot. Otherwise, the house was great and served its purpose. We would definitely think about coming back again.

I wanna start by saying I have no idea why there’s some bad reviews. I took a gamble on it and my family & I won BIG. The beach house is ALOT nicer in person. It was clean and very accommodating and spacious. They even provided extra blankets, pillows, and air mattresses. The host didn’t bother us but was attentive, helpful and considerate when I needed help getting checked in. My family had an awesome time and I’m happy that this host made that possible. Thank you so much for hosting your beach house to us. 💜

Everything was clean and beautiful. So spacious and outside perfect for spending time with family. Can’t wait to do this again next year.

House was perfect for our family get together. Plenty of room and the layout fit us well. However, lack of maintenance caused some issues. Water leaks under the kitchen sink and in one of the bathrooms required us to call for repairs while we were there. House was very clean when we arrived but trash cans downstairs were over flowing and birds has scattered food everywhere. We cleaned it up, and after we called, maintenance came and picked up the trash.
There was very few kitchen utensils (pots, pans, dishes, etc..) and nothing in the cabinets as far as condiments. We were told their policy is to remove everything between renters (always before they were left for the next renter to use and add to). If we had known it would not have been an issue. Maybe it should be noted on their booking website. Luckily what we didn’t bring with us we were able to obtain locally.
Overall, we were very happy with the house and will rent it again but will bring everything we need with us to cook. By the way, maintenance responded quickly and that was much appreciated.

We spent three days at this home near Galveston for a family reunion. We had a full house and enjoyed the beach and pool. We were not happy about the condition of the home when we arrived. Immediately we could tell it was not clean. The floors were dirty, there was trash and crumbs including chip bags, sunglasses, etc under the couches and beds. The toilet did not work properly when we arrived- we had to fix it ourselves. There was dust everywhere, crumbs in kitchen drawers, mold on ceiling and in showers. The pillows did not have pillow covers under the cases and some were filthy- brown and one even had blood spots. There were no usable extra pillows- some were thrown on the floors in the dirty closets with no covers. The biggest problem was the AC on one level did not work. The air vents and filters were disgustingly dirty- we took the filter off so we could get basic circulation. We called about it and the manager came by but wasn't able to fix it. It was quite hot. We had to request more towels- there weren't even close to enough for our group. We made multiple calls and sent emails and they said they would try to refund us some money for all the problems and never did. I would not recommend this home. I understand the people at vacasa are busy but it was honestly unacceptable the level of poor communication.

Fairly nice house but the beds are very uncomfortable and it needs maintenance. We all had to buy mattress toppers to be able to sleep, it did appear as though some of the twin mattresses were new. The sinks in all 4 bathrooms drained VERY SLOWLY, one of the downstairs toilets was broken and would not flush, we had to rig it with a lanyard and the shower in the downstairs master smelled like sewage. The kitchen is very disorganized and the cabinets were not very clean. The dryer takes forever to dry clothes.

Our family stayed for a total of two nights. We chose this house because of the number of beds considering we have a pretty big family. The location is about 30 minutes away from central galveston which has all the restaurants and sights. It did seem pretty far away however we didn't mind the drive since we were there for the beach. The neighborhood the house is located in has beach access which was a 5 minute walk and even shorter if you rent a golf cart. With that being said the upstairs part of the house was not clean. There was toothpaste residue all over the bathroom sink and backsplash on the mirror. One of my family members ended up finding an airpod in between the bedsheets which seemed like they did not change. I had no communication with the owner except for one time during the DAY. He called saying how the neighbors complain about noise, and sometimes call the cops and people have to leave the house. Now mind you, it was afternoon during daylight. Most of my family was inside the house and we had a tiny speaker playing music outside. The house rules DO NOT say anything about noise during daylight. The neighborhood seemed dead and no one was friendly so if your family is friendly and likes to have a good time like mine get a different house. A few of the bunk beds were uncomfortable and overall the house seems like it needs fixing. There is so much screeching it makes you feel unsafe. The pretty picture of the pool you first see is the pool that is available HOWEVER you have to drive to it because its on the other side of the highway. The pool and the beach we enjoyed overall, not too many people around and it seemed private.

This was our second year to rent this house for my large extended family. The house was very clean with plenty of bath and beach towels. We had a great time. The only issues we had were: 1) the garbage disposal did not work and there was a horrible smell coming from it. I did report the issue but no one resonded. 2) The 5 garbage cans outside were overflowing and they were not emptied in the 4 days we were there. We do plan to come back next year and while the disposal is not a major issue I do hope it is repaired by then.

Other reviews were correct about the broken shelves in the refrigerator and freezer but it wasn't that big an issue for us. It was great having bedrooms for everybody and the beach was not crowded at all. Downstairs area could use more thorough cleaning as there were bottles and some trash in the shrubs. Property managers were always quick to respond to my questions. We will definitely stay here again!!!

The house is very well distibuted with several beds
Unfortunately two of the beds had bed bugs and the kitchen was not good, it was not very clean, the stove only has two burners working properly and the freezer of refrigerator has the shelves broken therefore it is very difficult to store food.

Good space/location.
We enjoyed our stay and the space was great. However, due to the fact that the house is a rental that comes with a bad reputation due to space, we did get reported for noise levels. People rode around on golf carts and it felt like we were spied on. I understand, but it did seem a bit weird.

It's in a pretty convenient location. It's a nice house, with plenty of space.

All in all a good stay
This is not a house for small kids none of our kids were confident enough to use inside stairs oldest was 7 some cosmetic water damage in dining room washer did not spin out correctly but all in all well worth the money. Waking machine not a must have. Kitchen very well stocked plenty of covers for beds was a nice distance from beach since we had small kids we didn't have to worry about them trying to go on their own. Would stay here again

Great Large Family Or Group Home
We had everthing we needed for a fun stay in this large house. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was perfect for our large family with kids ranging in age from 2 to 15 years old. The local Vacasa staff was very helpful and responsive. It's a great house for young people but if you have older folks or anyone physically challenged in your group the access could be limiting.

Plenty of space but reviews are correct
This place has serious deficiencies. Fridge amd freezer are missing shelves so food is hard to fit in. Very disorganized kitchen cabinets and not at all clean. Bunks are seriously almost unsleepable even by kid standards. The location is just a block or so away from beach and there are a lot of beds and two living spaces so great for a large group like ours but only use this as a last resort. Owner is not putting any money back onto this place.

Wonderful Experience
We had a Cheer Competition and all the families decided to make a nice weekend of it. It was perfect. We all had plenty of room. Walking distance to the beach. Our experience was great. I had read some of the negative reviews and was worried. But there was absolutely NO reason to be. We loved the house and the Management Company. Trish went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience!! Thank you!
