Room was good sized for the price and view was great. Ocean view side was a little more but not much and worth it. Could offer an earlier check in. Lady at the desk wasn’t too friendly but acceptable.

It is a ok experience . Room is good , kitchen is ok.
Good ocean view but the hotel is far from beach.

The stay was inconvenient. The first room we were in had an electrical problem so we had to switch rooms. Also, we did not get good enough sleep. The curtains did not close all the way and when the sun came up it blinded us. There needs to be some black out curtains.

Would have been great if we didn’t have to pay for parking. And they didn’t inform us until we checked out. Won’t stay there ever again. Pretty sad being a Hilton honors member

Beautiful, newish hotel across the street from the beach. Easy walk to restore and shopping. Close to start of Seawall and the Strand and UTMB campus. Complete breakfast with lots of choices.

The lady at the front desk, on the 28th was very rude and not very helpful. She acted like we were bothering her when we asked a question.

With a lot of space.

You have to pay $20 a day for parking on top of what you've already paid!! Didnt like that at all!

We loved staying here. Breakfast was amazing every morning. There was a ton of space in our room with 2 queen beds and then a fold out couch in the living room. The kitchenette was nice and the full size fridge was plenty big. My only complaint is the pool is a bit small and can feel very packed when busy. There’s also no loungers at the pool. Only metal chairs and tables and 2 umbrellas over the only 2 picnic tables at the pool so shade was limited and tanning was impossible. We still enjoyed ourselves though

My family truly enjoyed our beach vacation in Galveston. The hotel staff were very accommodating. The hotel is perfect for little ones. The pool was perfect depth, only about 4 feet deep. The half basketball court kept my son entertained for hours. The hotel is also very accessible for a handicapped persons. My mother uses a wheel chair and the accessible room made everything a breeze. This is a very family friendly hotel, perfect for every type of dynamic. Thank you.

Terrible breakfast, room needs renovations, customer service needs more comprehensible people, parking for $20 a day was a surprise and was not even mentioned during check-in or out. They charge for internet even if you choose to use their free wi-fi. So you better check your credit card transactions. Pool was so small.

I did not like the additional fees for parking that was not disclosed prior to arrival. $20 per car per night is excessive for that area

It was a functional hotel; not the best but sufficient for a short stay. I would probably stay here again because of the kitchen, location and breakfast.
Pros
• Staff was above average helpful and friendly
• The location was great, 5 minute walk to a nice beach area
• The kitchen was small but functional, good sized refrigerator and useful range top/microwave allowed us to have leftovers and snacks easily
• The breakfast was unusually excellent for a hotel, a lot of real breakfast options like eggs and meat; this pushed the stay over to "above average"
Cons:
• Parking was $20 day, which I don't remember being mentioned anywhere. This was very frustrating to discover as there is no other parking anywhere nearby, felt like a rip off.
• Beds were not very comfortable for an adult male: very firm with no padding on top.
• The walls in the room were *really* dirty and gross, and the kitchen floor especially under the appliances had not been very well cleaned.
• Sounds silly but the dinging sound at every floor in the elevator was *super* loud and obnoxious; my kid had to cover his ears
Other:
• They had pump bottles of scented shampoo and stuff that were VERY strong and affected my allergies, but they removed from them from room no problem. If you are easily affected by things, have them do this in advance.
• Trash cans in the room were *tiny* even for hotel trash cans. Bring garbage bags you can use to carry trash to the dumpster especially if you plan to use the kitchen.

It was a nice experience. Ceilings fan was a bit noisy and there were no cooking pans, but other than that it was fine

It was good but paying for parking wasn’t listed prior to booking. It’s ridiculous to have to pay for self service parking and pool small just 4ft at deepest end. However plus side close to beaches, gift shops and restaurants.

The properties entire system was down causing check in and check out to be unsafe and the keys could not be programmed. They said it was a glitch and would be up in 1 hour and 15 hours later their system was still down.

The staff was friendly. I gave a three star rating due to having to pay for parking unexpectedly.

Hotel was not able to program any room keys so you had to get a hotel staff to let you into your room. Only limited staff on duty so the wait could be a few minutes

Great stay for just a short getaway from home. Two nights, East end of Galveston Island. Loved that the room had a ceiling fan over the bed, something that more hotel rooms should have. Pet friendly, $75 deposit for our stay, worth it. Kitchenette with small stovetop, good sized fridge, two-slice toaster in the cabinet, microwave over stovetop, and a dishwasher. Nice bathroom prep area with a closet with doors and normal hangers (not just the you have to get this stub in this little bracket type) and a small safe on the shelf. Also contains an ironing board and iron. The shower and toilet have a door to close off from the rest of the room, nice walk in shower, unfortunately no tub for those that like to soak to relax. Breakfast offered with room each morning, simple (eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, waffle station, coffee, juice, limited fruit and cereal) offerings, but acceptable quality. Front desk was friendly even when everyone was arriving at the same time to check in/out. Nice small pool on property, Rained most of our stay, so didn’t really get to see it at normal operation. Close to Stewart Beach and the ferry to Bolivar peninsula, not very far to the closest end of the public beaches and the Seawall. We will be using this hotel again.

Check in was a little long because the system wasn’t working but host was great!!!
6.0 / 10.0
The rooms are huge, but there were no vents in the bathroom so mold was all over the ceiling. The hotel is nice, breakfast was terrible and the guests, when I went, were 200lbs over weight and fighting for powdered eggs because they didn’t have enough food for the hotel guests. May stay here again, but my experience wasn’t the best. Worst part is $20 for parking and the parking lot is huge.

Nice and clean. Was not expecting the $20 charge for self parking. Not mentioned beforehand.

Despite ordering the room with breakfast, there was none available (blamed hurricane that happened few days before) and fire alarms went off all night with no real answer from the management other than their system is having issues.

Property was closed upon arrival. They didn’t call to let us know. Drove around until 5am with children in the car looking for a place to stay. I’m very disappointed with this property. I don’t plan to book with another Hilton in the future.

The hurricane was certainly out of their control but surprised they were not prepared for power outage. A little breakfast, but NO generator! The staff on duty was very good but needed some more authority from management.

Overall it was a good stay. Front desk person was great. However, there were ants in our room. Also, one of your staff members was rude. I didn’t get his name. He’s heavy set and appeared to be of Mexican decent. This happened 07/06/2024 at about noon or so. He had a cart full of toiletries. It appeared as if he was going from room to room to swap out the shampoo bottles and body wash as that’s all that was in the cart. My gripe with him is that he took up the whole elevator by himself. He put the cart right in front of the door and made no attempt to move to allow me access to use the elevator. He didn’t acknowledge me, say excuse me or good morning. I then squeezed my way in past the cart to board the elevator. He was on the side of the buttons, then it was the cart and then I was in the side without buttons. He didn’t ask what floor I needed. So I asked him if he could press one for me. Never looked at me or said anything. He did press the button but his body language showed like I was bothering him. For someone that chooses a job in hospitality he may need to consider another job or needs some training.

Please note my stay was impacted by Hurricane Beryl. Unfortunately, upon arrival I was informed the hotel was without power. I understand we are experiencing a natural disaster, but why did I not receive any form of communication / notification that the hotel was without power??? I traveled here to take my ill mother for medical reasons and booked Homewood Suites by Hilton due to the proximity to the hospital. I don't care to comment on the staff, because I understand these situations put a lot of stress on everyone so I give them grace, but I am utterly disappointed and down right disgusted at Hilton. Shame on you!! I was told I could still stay, but here would be no power, no towels, and NO DISCOUNT! Death to corporate greed. Hilton should be ashamed of themselves.

Tried to cancel several days before Hurricane Beryl and couldn’t get in contact with the property reached out several times well in advance to cancel and received no information at all. Very disappointed with this property.
