The stay was inconvenient. The first room we were in had an electrical problem so we had to switch rooms. Also, we did not get good enough sleep. The curtains did not close all the way and when the sun came up it blinded us. There needs to be some black out curtains.
4.2
Would have been great if we didn’t have to pay for parking. And they didn’t inform us until we checked out. Won’t stay there ever again. Pretty sad being a Hilton honors member
4.2
Beautiful, newish hotel across the street from the beach. Easy walk to restore and shopping. Close to start of Seawall and the Strand and UTMB campus. Complete breakfast with lots of choices.
4.2
It was an amazing stayed,
4.2
The lady at the front desk, on the 28th was very rude and not very helpful. She acted like we were bothering her when we asked a question.
4.2
Great last minute stay. Room/suite was perfect. Friendly staff.
4.2
Great stay, will definitely stay again
4.2
You have to pay $20 a day for parking on top of what you've already paid!! Didnt like that at all!
4.2
Terrible breakfast, room needs renovations, customer service needs more comprehensible people, parking for $20 a day was a surprise and was not even mentioned during check-in or out. They charge for internet even if you choose to use their free wi-fi. So you better check your credit card transactions. Pool was so small.
4.2
It was a nice experience. Ceilings fan was a bit noisy and there were no cooking pans, but other than that it was fine
4.2
Waking up overlooking the ocean, beautiful the breakfast was delicious. The staff was courteous polite I couldn’t change a thing.
4.2
The staff and service were great!
4.2
Overpriced
Breakfast terrible
4.2
It was good but paying for parking wasn’t listed prior to booking. It’s ridiculous to have to pay for self service parking and pool small just 4ft at deepest end. However plus side close to beaches, gift shops and restaurants.
4.2
Nice hotel.
4.2
The properties entire system was down causing check in and check out to be unsafe and the keys could not be programmed. They said it was a glitch and would be up in 1 hour and 15 hours later their system was still down.
4.2
Hotel was not able to program any room keys so you had to get a hotel staff to let you into your room. Only limited staff on duty so the wait could be a few minutes
4.2
The staff was friendly. I gave a three star rating due to having to pay for parking unexpectedly.

Great stay for just a short getaway from home. Two nights, East end of Galveston Island. Loved that the room had a ceiling fan over the bed, something that more hotel rooms should have. Pet friendly, $75 deposit for our stay, worth it. Kitchenette with small stovetop, good sized fridge, two-slice toaster in the cabinet, microwave over stovetop, and a dishwasher. Nice bathroom prep area with a closet with doors and normal hangers (not just the you have to get this stub in this little bracket type) and a small safe on the shelf. Also contains an ironing board and iron. The shower and toilet have a door to close off from the rest of the room, nice walk in shower, unfortunately no tub for those that like to soak to relax. Breakfast offered with room each morning, simple (eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, waffle station, coffee, juice, limited fruit and cereal) offerings, but acceptable quality. Front desk was friendly even when everyone was arriving at the same time to check in/out. Nice small pool on property, Rained most of our stay, so didn’t really get to see it at normal operation. Close to Stewart Beach and the ferry to Bolivar peninsula, not very far to the closest end of the public beaches and the Seawall. We will be using this hotel again.
4.2
Check in was a little long because the system wasn’t working but host was great!!!
4.2
Nice and clean. Was not expecting the $20 charge for self parking. Not mentioned beforehand.
4.2
The rooms are huge, but there were no vents in the bathroom so mold was all over the ceiling. The hotel is nice, breakfast was terrible and the guests, when I went, were 200lbs over weight and fighting for powdered eggs because they didn’t have enough food for the hotel guests. May stay here again, but my experience wasn’t the best. Worst part is $20 for parking and the parking lot is huge.
4.2
Nice and spacious
4.2
Despite ordering the room with breakfast, there was none available (blamed hurricane that happened few days before) and fire alarms went off all night with no real answer from the management other than their system is having issues.
4.2
Property was closed upon arrival. They didn’t call to let us know. Drove around until 5am with children in the car looking for a place to stay. I’m very disappointed with this property. I don’t plan to book with another Hilton in the future.
4.2
The hurricane was certainly out of their control but surprised they were not prepared for power outage. A little breakfast, but NO generator! The staff on duty was very good but needed some more authority from management.
4.2
Please note my stay was impacted by Hurricane Beryl. Unfortunately, upon arrival I was informed the hotel was without power. I understand we are experiencing a natural disaster, but why did I not receive any form of communication / notification that the hotel was without power??? I traveled here to take my ill mother for medical reasons and booked Homewood Suites by Hilton due to the proximity to the hospital. I don't care to comment on the staff, because I understand these situations put a lot of stress on everyone so I give them grace, but I am utterly disappointed and down right disgusted at Hilton. Shame on you!! I was told I could still stay, but here would be no power, no towels, and NO DISCOUNT! Death to corporate greed. Hilton should be ashamed of themselves.
4.2
Tried to cancel several days before Hurricane Beryl and couldn’t get in contact with the property reached out several times well in advance to cancel and received no information at all. Very disappointed with this property.
4.2
We found a roach in our room and we had to ask for our trash to be took out and new towels .
4.2
It started when we came to our door open and unlocked. Then I went first to the bathroom and the toilet was full of poop. And there was hair all on the bathroom floor and stuff all on carpet. I decided to start checking the rest of the room and found dirty dishes in the dishwasher and used towels. I feel this room wasn’t even cleaned. But it was 11pm and we had no where to go on 4th july weekend. The front desk man was nice and he came and plunged the toilet and cleaned the seat but couldn’t offer any other option to clean or exchange rooms. The light in the main room wouldn’t turn off except at the main switch which made you not be able to turn the bathroom light off or on either. So to use the bathroom you had to turn on the main switch in the living room but the overhead light is on while everyone’s trying to sleep. The next morning we went to breakfast at 8am and they hostess first told us there was no more refills of some of the food items. Then while we were eating toast and cereal they came out with more hot food. There was barely any bread items left , one yogurt and some cereal. Not hardly any juice. This stay was AWFUL especially for a Hilton property

Paid over $180 for overnight. Had to pay $20 more for parking, no one to help with luggage and no cart. Did a cc hold for 50 for damages, released all but $4.95, don’t know why.there was no damage in our room. Staff was not helpful nor friendly. We checked in the evening. Won’t stay again
4.2
It was close to 11pm, sleeping in bed for about 3 1/2 hours at this point when I removed the covers that were tucked in for more space when a vape fell out of the sheets. I have never been so grossed out realizing that this is how they cleaned the room. I took it down to the desk staff, expected some type of outcome. Nothing! In the morning I expected some type of communication be made to me, nothing.
There is a parking fee added additionally at the end of your trip for using the hotels parking lots. Marriott would never, I learned a hard lesson choosing this over Marriott. We were doing a one nighter after camping on the beach for 4 before heading back home.
The only positive thing I can say is that they are pet friendly. Although there is also a $75 charge for a pet. Which I was aware of that additional fee because we looked for a pet friendly space.
Additional fees the hotel will charge for after you reservation was booked and paid for:
$50 deposit
If pet, $75
$20 per night stay for parking lot
$25 additional in taxes after taxes applied to room charge

Over all experience great

I don’t know where to start. But if you have other options go somewhere else ! As a honorable Hilton employee and member they need to reevaluate their employees and attitudes . Smh I had to call corporate and thank God I knew my handbook for being an employee . The stay was horrible , the front desk Isodrio was horrible it shouldn’t have took all that. It starts with management. I don’t know , I have an expectations for Anything with Hilton name on it and they aren’t living to the name of it.
4.2
Seemed to be nice area
4.2
Overall a good family friendly, good breakfast, pool, close to the beach. Elevators were a little slow and the ceiling fan was dusty but overall great stay. Would stay again.
4.2
Front desk staff were extremely cordial, cleaning staff extraordinarily gracious! The one BIG thing we had an issue with was having to pay for parking. I have never had this happen before and it was OUTRAGEOUS! $20/night is RIDICULOUS! To spend quite a bit on a room that was already significant is one thing but to add a fee for parking on top of that is rude. I can say that we may NEVER stay at a Hilton Hotel that charges me to park.
4.2
Shower was clogged, but besides that, we enjoyed our stay. It's just not ideal to shower in a puddle of water. The breakfast was very good and the pool was surprisingly good as well. If shower was not backed up, and staff was a little more attentive, I'd give it 5 stars for overall value. We will be back to see how next round treats us. Easy walk to Stewart Beach.
4.2
Staff was professional. Hotel was very clean with lots of attention to guest. They provided social hour with drinks and snacks, which was a wonderful surprise. The complementary breakfast had many options and all were great. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds and all very clean. The pool was great for the littles and the basketball court was the best for our teen boys. The beach is just walking distance.
The only con is having to pay for parking.
4.2
Amazing staff - FANTASTIC HUGE ROOM - we loved it - BECAUSE OF THE PRICE !
