Our stay was at the end of August. Booking was easy. Communication with the owners was simple and they are very responsive and informative. The home is very, very nice. Well kept. Hard to think of an amenity that is not already taken care of. Tons of information at the home to make our stay relaxing. Location is close to everything. We would absolutely stay here again.

The owners were incredibly thoughtful, ensuring our experience was personalized and welcoming. With plenty of personal touches throughout the cabin and a well-stocked kitchen, it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for a cozy and memorable getaway!

Great place to get away with family or a few days. We explored Grandfather Mountain and some other local hikes. Spend some days just relaxing in the cabin. It had everything we needed. It was well organized. It had LOTS of detailed information about local hikes and shops and other activities. Owners were great to work with. One small issue came up while we were (not their fault). They answered their phone right away and resolved it almost immediately. Would definitely reccomend!

My wife and I, as well as our kids, and dog, stayed in this cabin on the Fourth of July weekend. Great looking cabin with very rustic charm! Great views of the Blue Ridge mountains. If you walk up the street a bit, there is an excellent, unobstructed, view of Grandfather Mountain. No need for air conditioning, just leave the windows open at night, as well as early morning, then close them up and the temperature will be just fine! The cabin had all of the amenities that we needed! Our dog enjoyed laying on the deck and sometimes staring down the deer that passed through; they payed him no mind, by the way. Loved the game room on the bottom level!! We had an Air Hockey tournament one night(our youngest won) and a Dig Dug tournament the next (Our adult son won that one). Great location close to the trout farm, Blowing Rock, Boone, mini golf, Hawksnest, and of course, the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommended for families, couples!!

Perfect family getaway! Nice location, not too far up the mountain but has a beautiful view. Home had everything we needed and allowed us to bring our dogs. Owners have thought of everything, they even had a birthday cake delivered to us! We had so much fun playing in the game room. Can’t wait to come back!

My kids loved this vacation home which is a huge win! We enjoyed the morning sunrise over the mountains and easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Great game selection to keep the kids busy. They also enjoyed making smores at the firebowl. We really appreciate homes that have 2 rooms on the main level so we don't have to worry about the stairs with the kids and they feel safe with us in the next room. Definitely would recommend! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay at the Alpine Cabin. It's situated on a beautiful lot in Seven Devils, with easy access and a great location from which to easily get to Boone, Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and more.
Things we loved:
- The game room is an amazing and unique feature
- Cabin is very comfortable and well laid out; living room furniture and the easy to use gas fireplace were fantastic.
- Amazing views from dining area, kitchen, and both bedrooms
- Incredibly well-stocked kitchen
- Property owners who truly care. Carol and Forrest were communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. And when we ran into an issue with a kitchen appliance, it was replaced practically immediately and in a way that fit our schedule, so we didn't miss a beat.
We loved being able to bring our dog, and really enjoyed walking up the wide and well-paved main road for morning and evening strolls to get exercise our pup - we saw deer on each morning walk.
Things to know:
- There is ample parking at the cabin, and the stairs down to it are in great shape, making load in/out a breeze. Do note that the road from NC-105 up to the cabin is a bit steep in places, and would require 4WD in winter conditions.
- It's well worth the slightly windy climb, however, for great, private views that are only a 15 minute drive from downtown Boone. The Alpine Cabin feels close to everything.
If you're looking for a comfortable, cozy place to enjoy the views - this is it. If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly base from which to explore the high country - this is also it.
We loved the Alpine Cabin and will be back.
