About this bed and breakfast
My place is located in the heart of Sedona within walking distance to restaurants and dining. A romantic vacation for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers.
Desert Poppy Villa…a dreamy getaway for two... This villa offers an intimate experience with its own private patio and spa. Professionally decorated and beautifully appointed, the villa has more than 620 square feet of living space with one-bedroom, large bath, living with fireplace, two TVs, indoor and outdoor dining area and a private entrance. Complimentary covered parking allows for ease of access to your accommodation.
Desert Poppy Villa is located in the heart of Sedona within walking distance to restaurants, shops, National Forest hiking trails, theaters, gourmet grocery stores, and many scenic destinations. There is an adjacent villa, the “Honeysuckle” which is also available.
The villa is designed with your comfort in mind. For instance, enjoy a Sedona sunrise with a cup of gourmet coffee prepared in your K-cup coffee brewer while surfing the net for the day’s activities.
Take a short drive to the many wonderful Sedona attractions. Visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross or hike one of our numerous National Forest trails. Visit a Stupa and take a yoga class. Just a short drive away, you can experience the wonders of Oak Creek Canyon, designated as a national scenic drive. While in Oak Creek Canyon visit Slide Rock and hike the famous West Fork Trail. The welcome notebook will provide a plethora of choices for you to experience while visiting Sedona and the surrounding areas. A scenic two hour drive will take you to the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
Upon returning to your home away from home, check out your kitchenette. You will find ample space to prepare a sumptuous dinner cooked out on your very own barbeque grill just steps away on your private patio.
Take a short stroll from your villa and you will find several organic grocery stores where you can stock up on your favorite munchies or maybe the evening’s dinner and breakfast supplies.
Perhaps a glass of wine is in order as you enjoy the mild evening temperatures. Relax on your private outdoor patio while viewing Sedona’s starry nights, a wonder to behold.
To round out your villa experience, the custom bathroom will surely make you feel pampered with its large spa like floor plan. Your bathroom features include custom cabinets, fluffy bath towels, robes, romantic decorative lighting, quartz counter tops, large rain shower head and a free standing soaking bathtub for two.
When the day comes to a close relax in the comfortable seating area and enjoy a romantic fire in your custom fireplace. On your flat screen television, watch your favorite television show or movie.
Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on your memory gel mattress while the luxurious bed linens wrap you in comfort. Room darkening blinds make it easy to sleep-in, or you may want to rise with the sun and start another adventure in Sedona’s Red Rock Country!
The sky is the limit and we look forward to welcoming you to the Desert Poppy Villa where we hope you will take home some unforgettable memories.

Odd location, but quite nice once you go through the gate. It's in a bit of a corporate/office set up, but as soon as you're in the unit, all is great. Clean. Everything you need. Quiet (surprisingly). Would definitely go again!

We thought the property was exactly as described . The efficiency of everything is well thought out. The location was great , the flat top grill was ideal for breakfast and dinners. We enjoyed the hot tub every day. We would definitely stay here again- if available.

Beautiful clean , perfect lay out . Very convenient to everything. Hot tub private and lifesaver after long days of hiking . Very relaxing weekend!☀️

This is wonderful place to stay. Right in the heart of West Sedona this finds you close to restaurants, shopping, hiking, beautiful views and all you'd want from your visit. The villa itself is well designed and has all the amenities you want. The owner is pleasant and responsive and you really do get the best of both worlds--relaxation/comfort amidst attractions/activity. Highly recommended.

Everything about our trip was perfect. The quiet location was central to most of the restaurants we chose. We will be back next year, it was that good.

We loved our one-week stay at the Desert Poppy! It was the perfect home base for our trip to Sedona. Location was great - just a short drive from many of the trailheads and Uptown/West Sedona restaurants, shops and grocery stores, but still tucked back from the main road. It was quiet and private and had its own designated parking spots.
The villa is pristine and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the hot tub, grill and access to the properties laundry facilities (hiking clothes get dusty/dirty very quickly in the desert).
Sharon, the rental manager, was very quick to respond. We'd love to stay here again the next time we're in Sedona.

Fantastic accommodation for our trip to Sedona. Everything was perfect.

This is the 5th time we've stayed at this property. We love the large, very private terrace with hot tub. We like quiet and privacy- that's what you'll find here. If you want to be in the center of the action, this isn't your place. But, the action is only a short distance away. We consider it the best of both worlds. Desert Poppy is well appointed-all you need for a short stay. The bed is comfy, the towels are plentiful...we've never found it to be lacking anything we needed-it's simply a first class property that you cannot go wrong with. I also want to make sure to mention that the management-Sharon-is a pleasure to deal with. Great communication and responsive when needed. Book now!!

We rented this property for our anniversary and it was great. Check in was very easy and it was very clean and pleasant. Amenities were as described, and the hot tub was very relaxing. We weren't able to meet the host, due to a dinner reservation we had but communication was very easy.

The villa had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Check in and out was smooth and easy. We enjoyed the nearby trails, shops and restaurants.

This place is so cute and in the perfect location. The patio is large and private and has a hot tub which was perfect in the evening. Also, there is a large soaking tub in the bathroom which was a nice touch. The place is cozy and comfortable and conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. There is no stove but there is a microwave and outdoor grill. Also a mini refrigerator.

Everything about this “villa” was great. The weather was wet and cold the whole time we were in Sedona, which was a bummer, but the warm fireplace, huge soaking tub, hot tub, and fluffy bed made up for the outdoor gloominess! Really loved the attention to detail, the welcome package, we never ran out of anything we needed whether it was towels or toilet paper.
The location turned out to be the best; a CVS across the street, far enough from the tourist areas to not feel overwhelmed, but close enough to everything that it was a breeze getting around. And it’s right across from Airport Mesa! It was super quiet at night which was lovely.
We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was very well attended to. Check in / out was simple. Host was very reachable and kind. The Desert Poppy had absolutely everything we needed, plus more. Super soft towels, robes, sheets. Beautifully decorated, quiet. The spa was the perfect place to look at the stars after a day of hiking. I would love to come back to the Desert Poppy!!

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it! The villa is beautiful, in a great location, and perfect for the two of us. If we are ever back in Sedona, we would definitely stay here again.

This property is beautiful. Second time staying here. Can’t recommend it enough Very clean, quiet, great outdoor hot tub. Close to Sedona stores, activities. Will stay again in the future!

The only issue is that we got there after dark and had a hard time finding the place. There were no lights.
But the stay was wonderful! The location was great as was the residence. Will be staying again in the future!

My husband and I loved our stay in this beautiful cottage, which was convenient to shops, restaurants, and galleries. The hot tub was a special treat. We only cooked breakfast and lunch here, so the efficiency kitchen worked fine. We did wish there was a garbage disposal, however.

The property is perfect for a couple. Very quiet and secluded area. The villa was supplied with many extra items that were appreciated. The enclosed patio area was larger than expected and very nice for relaxing in the hot tub. The Whole Foods market is conveniently located next door. Restaurants in the area are excellent. The property manager, Sharon, goes above and beyond to ensure that the property is immaculate. She provided all the details for self check in and check out that made the process easy and seamless. . We were very impressed and throughly enjoyed our stay.

This is one of our favorite VRBO rentals that we have ever stayed in. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the hot tub was an added bonus for sore muscles after long days hiking. We hope to return one day!

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful little villa! My husband and I spent 5 days here, when we booked we had no clue it was spring break for many people. Desert Poppy was the perfect setting to come back to every day when we were over the crowds. We bbq’d, listened to music, star-gazed on the patio and soaked in the hot tub. The bed was incredibly comfortable and HUGE and it was very peaceful and quiet pretty much all day and night. And when we did want to venture out it was close to just about everything. This was also a perfect base to visit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the Verde Valley Wine Trail, all the Sedona Hiking and Vortex spots and also to watch sunset at Airport Mesa. We would 100% stay here again and hope to be back soon! Also wanted to add very clean, the bathroom was huge and the parking right out front was so convenient.

Location was perfect. Close to Whole Foods, Safeway and cvs as well as wonderful restaurants and hiking.
The hot tub was amazing. The place is ridiculously cute. The bed is so cloud like and comfy.
Felt very safe and comfortable here. Was going to use the grill but with so many great food options we ended up eating out often.
The unit has everything you need to have an extended stay here.
The on-site laundry was very appreciated.
The manager was prompt and courteous.

Fun ... if not different
This property lies nestled in between some vacation rentals and an office park, so if you are thinking that it is a bungalow off the beaten path, it is not that. However, it is super cute and a lot of fun. It has plenty of parking (three spaces), and has a great location right off of 89A and Airport Rd.
The property was extremely clean and VERY well appointed. It had everything we needed and more:
-Robes
-Bluetooth speaker
-Keurig machine and pods
-Iron and ironing board
-Beach towels for the hot tub
I would definitely stay there again. It was a blast!

The Villa is located at the end of a line of a commercial businesses ie; Doctor and Financial and sits front of Sky Rock Lodge. We were leery at first thinking noise and traffic would be a issue, but neither happened. The Villa itself is amazingly cozy and perfect for a couples get away. Sharon even welcomed us with a Anniversary bottle of wine. The Kitchen is well stocked with some spices, foil etc. a Keurig coffee maker, coffee pods and a filter for your own coffee. Cooking wise, its just a microwave and outdoor grill, but with all the great restaurants there’s no need to cook! Highly recommend Hudson’s. The Master bed is comfy which made for a nice nights sleep. The Bathroom is stocked with everything you need. Only issue here is it gets warm after showering and drying ones hair. The Villas AC is supplied by a wall mounted ACs, the unit in the Master does not supply enough air to cool the bathroom. There is a exhaust fan which pulls all the air warm and cool out. A small unit or cooling fan is needed in there during the hot months. The outdoor living is relaxing and very private with the Hot Tub to relax in at the the days end. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely book this Villa again.
Not Villa related…. If your planning to visit Summer 2021 check to see if the National Parks around Sedona are open. They were closed while we were there 23-27June. We were told they would not open until September because of the extreme fire danger.

Another perfect getaway...
We have just completed our 3rd visit to Poppy Villa. When visiting Sedona, this is our "go to" property. Perfect place to unwind and/or for a romantic getaway. Centrally located but still quiet and private. Spend the weekend hiking, relaxing in the private hot tub, grilling some yummy food. We find that everything we need has been thought of. You cannot go wrong staying here-we've already booked our next stay!

We really enjoyed this place! We didn’t get to celebrate our first anniversary due to covid, so this second one, we wanted to do a little more to celebrate! We loved the privacy of the place and the jacuzzi! The place was beautiful and peaceful! It was so close to all the things we wanted to do. We took a walk to the park just up the road from this place.
I wish it had a kitchen to cook in, but we were grateful for a fridge!
The only thing that was odd was the lock to the door was low on battery and we were afraid of leaving and not being able to get back in. When we called the property manager she pretty much told my husband to do it himself. We didn’t have batteries. Luckily the next day there were batteries left for him to do it. That was a little strange since it is her job. But other than that we enjoyed our stay!
