The house was great, we stayed there for 6 days with two family’s, lots of room for everybody and the dock is awesome to have, we rented a boat from the marina 5 minutes away and our docked worked great to pick up the family then drop them off after, the mountain bike trail is a 2 minute ride away and the trail was a moderate ride up ,

Beautiful home on the lake. We stayed five days and loved it

This home is in a beautiful location and the wood work is mind blowing. Highly recommended

Loved our relaxing stay. House and view, amazing.

The home, deck, dock and lake all were perfect for our family. This was the second time we've stayed at this home and if possible in the future would love to stay there again!

Honestly pictures and words don't do this house justice. We absolutely loved the view and waking up every morning to the sun and the lake. It was absolutely stunning! We had a great time in the house, yard and deck. I already miss being there!!

Our family gathered here to celebrate our daughters college graduation and it was absolutely perfect. Because we had an 8 month old in the group we weren’t looking for a lot of activities. We spent much of our time at the house and had a blast. We ate well (the kitchen is amazing), we spent hours on the deck, we enjoyed ping pong and took walks. The home is so comfortable and well set up for families or a group of friends. We did go into Sandpoint and enjoyed good coffee and local breweries. We would definitely return!

The home is beautiful and the location is nice: quiet and peaceful. It has high end appliances (Wolf, Subzero) in a kitchen any level of cook would love. The views are incredible and there is a hiking trail about a quarter mile away. Sandpoint (restaurants, groceries, etc.) is about a 15-20 minute drive; Schweitzer is about 40 minutes. The house faces away from Sandpoint/Ponderay, so it's very dark at night, which is great for star gazing and sound sleep. The deck is huge and is furnished with chaise lounges, table and chairs, and a Weber grill. There is a shuffleboard and ping pong table downstairs, and a private dock on the lake. I would recommend this residence.
There are few drawbacks: It is expensive. The dishes and cookware are worn. The wifi is minimal (~20 mpbs up). To use a phone to play music, you'll need a headset adapter. Lots of flies in the house. Bottle Bay Road is not cyclist or pedestrian friendly. Not that there's a lot of traffic, but it's very narrow and windy. Finally, a landscape service showed up to do the lawn -- mowing, weed whacking, and most awful, leaf blowing. That's not my idea of a peaceful get-away and should've been done during the housekeeping changeover when paying renters are not there.

Great property that was clean and had great views of the lake.

Beautiful architecture and very clean. Wild turkeys would visit me on the deck. Gorgeous view.

The house is magical roomy and In an exquisite location. Please note there is no air conditioning which in the era of global warming is not wise for an STR. It cools off at night but ended up managing our time based on trying to stay cool. Beautiul place.

We really enjoyed staying here. Everything was lovely, clean and the view was spectacular of the lake.

Beautiful house, lovely view, fantastic stay!

This house is a gem. Spectacular view and access to the lake with wonderful hiking trails close by. Wildlife to entertain you and one of my families favorite pastimes was playing shuffleboard. Your family will never want to leave this magical place once you arrive.

Nice open plan house with water frontage. Large kitchen with island set up was ideal for our family to gather around.
House essentially split into two wings, so if two families were to book it would be easy to have some form of privacy.
Deck has great views out over the lake, and then you can walk out of the basement down to the shoreline.
Property ran by Vacasa who mainly communicate via text so never any interaction with owner.

We booked this house for a Schweitzer ski weekend with friends. House was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Wood beams in the living room are beautiful! View of the lake from the deck was awesome! The location of this house would be amazing in the summer for lake days as there is a private dock and shoreline. We assumed there would be some spices, oils, coffee and filters for cooking but we made due without. Overall really nice house to rent!

This home is gorgeous and the views of the are incredible. The house was clean and offers plenty of room for everyone. I had to dock one star because the house is not well stocked at all. There were no coffee filters, oil, saran wrap, iron and just some of the basics that you usually see in a short term rental. You really have to bring everything. Besides the inconvenience of that, this is a great place to stay!

Perfect venue for our 2 families to continue the tradition of exploring a new ski area. Beauty everywhere as we gazed out on the mountains/lake/eagles for morning yoga (more like hot yoga-as our toes nestled into the heated carpet). Great food easily prepared in the grand kitchen and the gradual progression each night to table for games then music in front of the crackling fire. Schweitzer mountain gave us boundless family fun and this house gave us all we needed to rejuvenate. Only thing missing was a hot tub but the heavenly heated floors definitely made up for it😊

Other than the boiler going out at inopportune times during our stay, the home and setting was great for gathering family to celebrate a birthday and Christmas. Hopefully the boiler issues will be resolved going forward--the property is extremely nice and we enjoyed the great kitchen, living areas, and game room down stairs!

The design and beauty of the setting and the house itself were awesome. The sad distraction was the condition and cleanness of the property. Many things did not work including the trash compactor which you could not even close.
The coffee maker which would not work.
There was dirt on the floor in the corners of places in the bathrooms that made you go "eeeeww."
They ran out of cleenxs in the bathrooms after two.
Bath tub had scum in it.
Toilet bowl, black, had filthy ring on it.
no hand rails on stairs going down or up. hazardous to old people.
worn out kitchen towels and pot holders, old torn and dirty.

The views and design of this place made it the hit of the weekend. The games downstairs where a hit and eveyone had a great time jumping off the dock for a swim.

The house is gorgeous with lots of great hangout spaces (inside and out), including a wonderful deck overlooking the lake and mountain views and a large dock perfect for swimming, sunning, and launching water gear (we brought a kayak, stand up paddle board, and floaties). The kitchen is very roomy and has tons of high-quality cookware and great appliances; however, be aware that the kitchen is not stocked with any staples such as salt, pepper, spices, etc. It's a relatively quick drive into Sandpoint, and there's a lovely nearby hike (4 miles each way) up to a great view over the lake.

This beautiful home hasn't been properly cleaned and maintained in months! What should have been a fabulous, relaxing vacation was spent with worry and to much of our time cleaning! We wouldn't consider this home again without some current, real time updated photos!

The Lodge lake home is a beautiful Norwegian timberframe, crafted home with gorgeous pine wood plank flooring and hydronic floor heating. Craftsman details seen in window trim, shelving and kitchen cabinetry completing this home. A beautiful classic home. Best kitchen layout we've had in many, many rentals here and abroad. Decent cookware & utensils, certainly nothing lacking. Beds are comfortable and our whole extended family of 5 adults fit well here. Not to mention the beautiful lake and mountain views. We were thrilled to be able to use the dock for our ski/fishing boat, and loved the shuffle board downstairs. Plenty of seating for meals inside and outside. Would recommend a bit more soft seating in living room to accommodate the number of adults the house can sleep. And while it is disclosed, there is no air conditioning in the home. On the lake that usually is not an issue, but with smoky days/nights we could not take advantage of cool night air to cool the home down. Nonetheless, The Lodge is a beautiful, quality structure.
The Maintenance/Management group Vacasa was not so delightful. They get a C- or lower. We were greeted with a 1/4 inch deep of bat guano (poop) on front door stoop and all back deck door stoops. Bats are a good thing because they take care of insects that bug you, but piles of poop to greet us was bad and begged the question; when was the last time the house was cleaned? We swept away the guano and it barely returned in our 6 day stay thus, making me believe it had been awhile since the management group had even checked on the house. Upstairs bedrooms were thick with dust and dead flies in the window sills. And the crowning irritation was the "0" propane in the bbq. All calls and emails were either never responded to or responded to very late. They only confirmed bat guano was not mouse poop.
The portable fans with filters were brown and black with crude and had to be cleaned/rinsed before they would even function. And the toilets are badly stained.
As a widow, business owner and farmer I can fix things. But when I pay over $800/nt I believe that I have paid for a high level of quality and cleanliness in a home. Expecting it to be clean and ready for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. This was not the case. In fact I will look to avoid Vacasa managed homes looking for local management teams that will be more responsive to customers needs.
Hope that helps with those of you looking to rent this home.
P.S. Launch your boat in Sandpoint or Bottle Bay Marina as the road is narrow and driveway is a bit tricky for getting the trailer stored.
