I loved this little cottage! We were celebrating my daughters wedding this weekend at Cayuga lake state park which was a short distance away and this cottage was the perfect size. Being the mother of the bride,I loved the little apartment across the road, was nice and quiet and cute. The porch was a great place to sit at night and listen to the waves. Nicely stocked with everything we needed. Thanks for sharing youre space with us,look forward to staying here again.

This had everything we were looking for: Easy access to the lake, no close neighbors (very quiet), plenty of small group sitting areas inside and out. Owner provided clear instructions for using everything on the property and kept in touch during our stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were amazingly well stocked. From boats and games (inside and out) to easy access to Cayuga Lake attractions, we couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home
Some Pros:
The lake and views are breathtaking
Kayaks and paddle boards and great deck to enjoy the lake.
Wonderful sunroom and heater was a nice touch.
Allows dogs!!!
Fully stocked kitchen
2 half baths one full bath
Fenced in area
Some cons:
It's very much a home and you feel like you are staying in someones home.
The house has Musty, camp smell.
You have to park across the street. the street is high speed very nerve-racking up crossing the street with kids and dogs
The pictures were not accurate or
Up to date. Looked nicer in the photos.
Kids were looking forward to projection and movie night ( one of our night was raining)
Popcorn machine looked gross we didn't use could not find projection as shown in photos( sharing so owner is aware)
The welcome basket was dingey used cups with a bottle of wine and a wrinkled bottoms of a purse pack of almonds ( it was comical) im mentioning this because I don't believe the owner of the camp put this together and should be aware.
The guest house is a garage and very much looks and feels like a garage. Very disappointed
Overall my family enjoyed the time away, I understand Finger Lakes are expensive but I feel like I paid for the view and outside area not the house.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, celebrating a 50th birthday.
The house itself feels like a home. Everything is comfortable and feels like real people exist in the space - unlike a cold condo or hotel.
Every amenity is provided and the extra personal touches really made us feel welcome.
Location is fantastic. The dock, beach area, and screened porch allow enjoyment of the lake whether you want to be in the water or relax on dry land.
Janice is a fabulous host & made sure everything was ready for our arrival. Communication was easy. The info kit covered so many great recommendations for indoor and outdoor fun nearby.
I'd absolutely come back to this cottage again. It really feels like home from the first moment you walk through the door.

wonderful getaway on the lake! the screened in porch is EVERYTHING. 3 comfortable bedrooms in the main cottage, one with a half bath en suite, plus a full bath and another half bath in the main cottage. we put an air bed in the living room (however, no AC in the living room, just window units in the bedrooms). the guest cottage has a full bath, a comfortable bed and a futon, and paintings of Eisenhower everywhere 😂 we loved this place, and Janice was wonderful and so helpful, offering advice to help plan our wine tasting itinerary. Highly recommend!

Great location, awesome sunrises ! Everything you need is there. Outside area and screened in porch is amazing! Perfect place for your family vacation. Janice is very friendly and accommodating host. Thanks for a great time and letting us enjoy your lake house. Can’t wait for our next family vacation.

Thank you for a great experience and for sharing your vacation home with our group. We had a ton of fun and the lake was amazing.

Janice has a lovely place and the house is full of a lot of ambiance and fun things. Our extended family and three dogs had a great time! Lots to do and see in that area, plus just canoeing around and playing corn hole. The only thing I'd mention is that the road separates the main house and the Eisenhower cottage and it has a lot of fast moving traffic on it. Overall we loved it and will return.

The property was in a great location in Lake Cayuga. Close to vineyards on Cayuga and Seneca. Janice was a pleasure to deal with. The house had everything we needed for our stay.

Cottage was nice and we very much enjoyed the enclosed porches. The cement dock is nice, however, we were disappointed that we were unable to dock our boat there. I wish we had known how close to the highway the cottage was, approximately 10 feet from a road that is traveled at high rate of speed in that area. Fortunately, we were able to keep our dogs out of the road for the most part until the last night we were there when they managed to bolt out the door when we were coming home and ran straight into the highway. Thank the Lord that nothing was coming and we were able to safely get them back into the house. Janice is an awesome host, and the welcome gifts and parting gifts for appreciate it. Thank you for a enjoyable week Janice.

Even better than the photos. A beautiful place to play with kids, read a book, and unwind. The property set up with the guest house was perfect for an inter generational vacation with Nana. Will hopefully be back next year!

Beautiful cottage , Large water front , Great big cement dock.

The cottage is close to the water which made it easy to cast a line out for fishing and sitting on the screened in porch listening to the lake. It was very relaxing. Fun times on the kayak and paddle boat which you can also fish from 🎣🙂. Janice is very responsive and her cottage is wonderful but that screened in porch is awesome!!! A lot of wineries are close too! The guest house is adorable. I would recommend staying here. Thanks Janice!

We loved staying at this home. It was just about perfect for our needs ... it's dog-friendly, kid-friendly (two small but nearly-identical sized bedrooms for our girls worked out perfectly), and friend-friendly with the separate guest house across the street.
Janice was an absolute pleasure to work with. She replied quickly and accurately to any questions we had, and the nice touches like treats and toys for the kids, dog, and grown-ups were all greatly appreciated!
This is one of the better vacation rentals we've seen in terms of amenities ... plenty of dishes, plates, shampoo & conditioner, towels, boats, fishing supplies, and lots more. The layout worked well for our group, and the two-level sunroom is amazing.
Just a few (very) minor comments for awareness for future renters ...
- The photos show a swing set in the yard, but there is no swing set. This was a bit of a disappointment for our girls as this was a strong selling point for this home. But there is a nice playground a few minutes drive down the street.
- The guest house kitchenette is functional, but our friends had to stop by several times for things that could easily have been included like silverware.
- As other reviewers have mentioned, the parking & guest home are separated from the main home by a road. It's not particularly busy, but the cars drive FAST. Just be aware if you have small kids or dogs!
Overall, we loved our trip and would absolutely return to this wonderful home. Thanks Janice!

me and my family stayed here for a week in early june 2021. we had a great time, the extra cottage across street comes in real handy. most places dont have this ! a two level screened in porch is also great to have. my favorite was the huge space on the dock area along the water. Janice was super easy to work with, and she also left some gifts and dog treats - that was great!

The cabin was perfect- the views and location were everything we wanted. The screened in porch was our favorite spot on hot days. Janice was extremely responsive as was her property manager who put in the A/C units early for the unseasonably hot days at the end of May. Looking forward to staying again

We stayed for 2 nights but wish we could have stayed longer! This is a wonderful property - meticulously maintained and the host literally thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Right on the water, with the guest cottage right across the street, so a lot of space for sleeping and spreading out! The view is gorgeous, with lots of windows and outdoor space to sit and relax. We will definitely be back!!

The view alone makes this property worth it, we could sit out by the water all day and night! The cottage had everything you could think of, including cute treats for yourself and dogs! The paddle boat was fun to take out and the rock beach was so fun to skip rocks! Janice was in communication with me the whole time prior to check in and was super friendly and easy to work with. We will absolutely be renting this cottage again!

This house was just what we were looking for in a weekend getaway. We were there on a cold November weekend, and the lake house was comfy and cozy. It was lovely waking up to the sunrise over the lake—the waterfront is right there. The house is well equipped with everything you would need. Janice is a fabulous host. The road is close, and we did hear the traffic, especially at night. But you probably wouldn't notice at all if you were out by the water. We would love to come back in the summer, to really take advantage of the outdoor space.

This is the second time we rented the cottage and studio - both times for Cornell's graduation week. We loved staying here the first time in 2014 and the second time in 2016 was like coming home. Age range for us was 16 through 83 and everyone was happy. Gramma could easily navigate the cottage as there is only one set of stairs that lead to the water outside. The screened porch is the heart of the house (nicely placed far enough from the bedrooms so the kids can stay up late and not keep the adults awake!) Having the additional studio across the street is such a bonus! Take advantage of the linen service. The lake is beautiful and an easy run in the morning. So many wineries! Janice is wonderful to work with and very efficient. You'll love it here!

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing time at this lakefront home. The screened in porch was our absolute favorite place for morning coffee and evening board games. The access to the lake was perfect for boating and swimming. It's in a great location and we enjoyed checking out some of the local attractions like MacKenzie Childs, Taughannock Falls and Ithaca Commons. This is definitely a home we would be interested in renting again!

Our family was looking for a central location for our vacation. We are coming from Syracuse, Rochester and Batavia. This house and guest cottage are absolutely perfect for our stay. It is conveniently located and easy to get to. It is close to several wineries and there is plenty of places to go and eat in case the weather is not cooperating. The 2 level enclosed porch is absolutely beautiful and inviting to spend your day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful lake. The level lake front and big dock made the kids really enjoy themselves throughout the week. The fishing off the dock was great and a the water was very refreshing!
The owner is a fantastic person and is very accommodating!! We look forward to coming back every summer!

We rented the house the week of June 16, 2012....The pictues do not do it justice. The two screened in porches are amazing, such a great place to sit and have your morning coffee and watch the sun rise over the lake. The cottage is equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing week on the lake. We would highly recommend this property...Thank you Jim for sharing this wonderful cottage.

After 8 years at Cornell, our daughter graduated as a DVM. We decided to go all out and rent a nice place for the family to stay. This was it. Clean, convenient and on the lake. We couldn't ask for much more. Great accommodations and very quiet! Would recommend this cottage. the guest house is a nice touch, lots of room for parking and a place for young ones to go when they need to hit the hay.
Thank you Janice and Jim for making our daughter's graduation as a Doctor even more special

This was an experience that our family will not forget for a long time. We were in Ithaca for my Son's Graduation. Had a BBQ on Sat. weather was great, sunny, no wind, lake was like a mirror. All of the guests that came loved the screen room and patio. We did not want to spend much time in the City, we enjoyed the house so much. Very comfortable, roomy, everyone had thier privacy if wanted. The only complaint was that there was not enough hangers. Not much activity on the lake. View was fantastic, moon coming up over lake was great! Did visit one winery, nice drive to Ithaca, very scenic. Jim wss great. He was very accomadating. Could not ask for anything better. Will recommend to anyone visiting that area.

We arrived in the afternoon to a very clean cottage. The care taker had opened the place up and had it ready for us. It has 6 or 8 wineries nearby, two with great food. The lake was generally very quiet even on the weekend. Great screened in porch on the backside the we enjoyed mornings and evenings. Dockis nice, lots of chairs to sit on the "beach". Don't expect any sand though, all rocks. No real big deal though- just no sand castles. We brought our own sea kayaks which were easily launched. Three nice bedrooms in the main cabin with a full bath and two half baths. Nice kitchen, well equipped. Guest house across the street has full bath, bed and futon with coffee maker and small fridge. Nice to have TV(it was the World Cup!). If you want to get away from it all this is a great place. Nearest town(Seneca Falls) is 10 miles north. Ithaca is about 25 miles south which is no big deal unless you want to go out for dinner every night. Lots of deer crossing the main road in the evening so you need to be careful driving. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. Owner and tarecaker were great people to work with. Security deposit was returned promptly. I would highly recommend this property!
