Ellen is an excellent host! She makes the guests feel like home 🥰the place itself is very nice, well designed and comfy. We loved the space with the hammock!
Nothing, all great :)

Lovely view and very nice comfortable rooms
The water didn’t run the whole time we were there but the owner brought buckets for us to use so it wasn’t a huge problem

Schönes, sehr saubers Zimmer an ruhiger Lage.

- very nice hosts
- very cute rooms
- comfortable beds
- a hairdryer would be great
- the mosquito nets at the windows could be renewed

I loved my experience there. The guesthouse and Rooms are very clean, with a really nice design. The overall atmosphere of the place is amazing. The Rooms had everything that I needed, very good amenities in the place. There is a beautiful chill area with a hammock that is perfect for reading. Neighbourhood is nice, not gentrified compared to other places on the island. Amazing host that helps with everything and gives recommendations.

There are 2 generators in the village, located not that far from the house, and one of them is a bit loud

We came to the island looking for some downtime in between our travels to Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh. What we found was a little hidden gem. We loved the „home-away-from-home“ vibe. The rooms are nice and clean, there is also lots of space in the common areas like the balcony with sea view, the terrace with hammocks, tables, loungers…there is a kitchen and fridge provided as well as free water.
Ellen, the owner is a fantastic host, who will make sure you get to truely enjoy your stay. We highly recommend this place.

The location of the property was amazing, 5 minutes from the pier and at the start of the hill, the ideal location to be. Elen is an amazing hostess and will guide you around including on what is happening on the island. The property itself is super laid back, ideal to get some peace and quiet.

The place is amazing. Big clean rooms with lots of hangers, comfy beds, nice upstairs balcony to work on or to space out on, nice downstairs bar area with hammocks to chill in or to space out on, huge well equipped common kitchen which I did not use. Hostess Ellen is an awesome and funny lady.
MPai Village gives a real island feeling with great foods, tiny size, actual resident locals unlike Saracen beach, fun laughs and the occasional water and power cut.
I did not like the fact that I only stayed 2 nights.

we loved the gorgeous interior! most aesthetic place on the island!

The owner is awesome, Sharon took care of everything we needed and gave us good recommendations around. The place is new and clean.
Highly recommended
The electricity and the water was shut down for few hours, but that’s all around the area

The hotel makes a good first impression with a large bright hall in European style and a cozy summer terrace. this is where comfort ends. The owners put a lot of effort into finding their own style, but focused on their feelings rather than the comfort of their guests. Created a bar with many varieties of Gintonics, but did not think that guests would not like to sleep on old sheets with pellets. They created unique organic shower products, but did not think that the dispensers they poured them into were intended for thicker liquids, which makes them completely inconvenient for guests to use. They drew pictures on the walls in the guest rooms, but did not think that a man can not shave sitting on the toilet. The mirror in the shower is opposite the toilet, not fixed above the sink. Put a beautiful basket in the bathroom and placed photos on the shelf above the bed, but did not think that the guests have absolutely nowhere to put their things and the rug near the shower only absorbs water like a swamp when all the water is spilled from the shower, and there is no place to hang a towel in the shower when the guest washes. Think about your guests! Not about yourself. Settle yourself with your belongings in your rooms and feel all the discomfort that your guest may experience and fix it. The guest needs a roll of toilet paper, a new one, at least, and regular high-quality cleaning in the room without reminders. By default.
In negative reviews, everything is already written,I have nothing to add to this, everything is true. The rooms are not cleaned,we stayed in the room for 4 days, during this time the cleaning was done twice, but the bed still contained sand, the towels were not replaced once. The bins were emptied, but the floors were not washed or cleaned,I noticed watermelon seeds on the floor in the shower, they lay there for 2 days. The window from our room opens directly onto the shared balcony where people are resting. We could not open it and ventilate the room, which is quite stuffy. Why do I need such a window? The shower floor is above the floor level of the room, and the shower door does not close tightly enough,so a waterfall of water pours onto the Mat near the shower.for 2 days, the Mat turned into a wet frog,it was not replaced once during cleaning. In addition, the owners of the hotel washed their clothes and hung their underwear right under our windows on the shared balcony.I would not like to see the owner's underpants on vacation. And the worst thing is that a transformer works 24 hours a day on the neighboring plot,it emits an incredible loud hum,so you can't just relax in a hotel or on a balcony. It was not easy to find a hotel,we specifically looked for at least one sign and we found it on the third day of rest,it was the size of a small family photo and was carelessly fixed in an alley where no one would guess to look. Then we found another one and didn't understand its purpose. For a comfortable stay in the hotel, you need a wardrobe or shelves where you can put things,we had to store things on the floor, because the hangers that are in the room are made of the simplest wire that unbends, even if you hang a towel on it.I read all this in the reviews and conclude that the owners did not take into account anything written.

Had a great time in lovely M’Pai Bei Village at this wonderful guesthouse. Everything’s so clean, beautifully decorated and the view from the room is great. Enjoyed the gin tonic too :)
