Very cozy accomodation in the bungalows with great views and a stunning almost deserted beach. The owner were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The last night we even got a fire show on the beach with flying lanterns! Definitely recommended by us!

Lovely big tent on beach

the family who run this place couldn’t have been more lovely. the beach this place is on is the nicest beach I have ever seen, it truly felt like we were in the Maldives. the restaurant food is good and when we asked to move rooms they upgraded us for only $5 more a night.
there is no aircon so the rooms are SCORCHING hot, hotter than outside. the electricity often cuts out and so the fans stop and it cut out every day at 7am so you had no choice but to get out of the room which was annoying. the bathrooms aren’t very clean and they don’t have a toilet seat which isn’t great.

AMAZING stay. Felt like we were in Disney film Moana. Bungalow right on the beach, big comfy bed, refreshing cold shower, clean beach and Robbie was great showing us how to see the luminous plankton at night and letting off lanterns. Thanks to the staff member who gave us some marshmallows too after asking if they sold them in the shop (they didnt). We were able to roast them over the campfire. The sea was beautiful and blue. Great snorkeling close by, snorkels $2 to rent. Robbie was so kind giving us a lift to Long Set Beach one day. The bungalow itself is basic but spacious and does the job. Great value for money. Beach was peaceful and not overcrowded, only a few people there at a time. Other staff members all super friendly and helpful. Bikes $10 to rent, very reasonable given they are 15 elsewhere on island. Food and drink prices were reasonable.
Food at the restaurant wasn't great. Two bits of chicken in my chicken curry. Stale bread one day with breakfast. The next a burger bun with breakfast as assuming they ran out of bread. Quality and taste just slightly poor overall.

The place is nice, very quiet and isolated beach. Big bangalows
The food is ok, and since The beach is not close tô The city center, you do not have many options.

nice staff
room was not clean, completely exposed to the outside holes in the floor and walls so many bites from insects even using the net, food was expensive and really low quality to the point you could easily get ill, location is far away from the major beaches

the staff were amazing and were happy to help with anything you needed. they truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable!
this has nothing to do with coconut beach but there was so much of rubbish washed up on the beach which made it less enjoyable when trying to relax. lots of large bugs and naughty monkeys too but to be expected when staying next to the jungle

Robbie and his family are excellent hosts and made our stay super enjoyable

Very friendly and hospitable hosts
Special lantern experience and great DJ skills
Nice location, a bit away from the hustle and bustle.
A midnight swim with the bio luminescent plankton was magical
Would definitely go back
Thank you Robbie and Sister!!
Electricity is off from 7am to 5pm with just an hour midday to charge electronics

Staff are very friendly, plenty to do around the hotel and the fire show and lanterns at night were great. Definitely recommend!

Set your expectations, this will be one of the lowest prices for a private room with en-suite in the island, plus with access to its own beach. And basically on the edge of a jungle and beach.
The family who run this are very very friendly, homely and helpful. Husband speaks perfect English, wife speaks English very well.
My bungalow was no2, close to the main social/eating area and over looking Coconut beach. For 1 person it was very comfortable, for 2 plenty of space. Great to have one of the rooms with en-suite especially for those nighttime trips. Never too hot at night and limited to no bugs which was a bonus given the location :)
Local food and international food was good, drinks selection very good.
The location is ideal for those looking to keep away from the busy party side, very calm and relaxing this side of the island. The husband likes to make guests very welcome and provide some evening entertainment (in the background).
If you want to chill on the beach and go for a swim = perfect, if you want explore the island with a scooter = easy. If you want to check out the busy side of the island also super easy to get to.
Electricity goes off at 7am until late afternoon … but who needs electricity at this time?? go explore or chill this beautiful quiet island :)
Nothing.

Lovely staff, good beach, cheap. Good facilities like day beds and hammocks perfect for chilling out on during the day.
The owner organised pick up and drop off taxi rides to the pier, as well as a cheap island tour that was great!
Decent breakfast options.
At the time, the resort was also a building site, so be aware there may be some construction during the day. The resort runs its own generator, so there is power and wifi for an hr during the day and then from 5 pm until late at night/ early morning. We got eaten alive here, unlike on different beaches on the island where I didnt get bitten once.

We liked the amazing view from our bungalow, the nice beach (Coconut beach, where during the night you can swim with brighting plancton) and the magic athmosphere of the island. Moreover, the coomon spaces are very beautiful.
The bungalows are nice but essential. For example, there is no hot water and fridge inside the room, there is only fan and not air conditioning and there were some animals (geko, mosquitos) that can enter in the room. I have to say that there was a net over the bed and if you use it you will have no problems. It is made only for people who loves nature and are used to it. The last think is about thw island: wild and beautiful landscapes, but unfortunately there is rubbish everywhere. Fortunately Coconut beach is quite clean, but it could be better.

I returned to Coconut beach bungalows because I really enjoyed my stay 2 years ago. Ronny and his family is very helpful and supportive. If you have a 4 legged friend, this is the best place to come with your 4 legged friends as itnis a nice quiet beach and Ronny will allow your 4 legged froends to stay with you.

the hosts were amazing! Robbie did a fire show, gave us a lantern to set off, gave us free fishing gear etc and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible! Lovely host and great value! lovely area too!
the beach wasn’t that busy or lively, most other things were empty or shut and it wasn’t THAT clean but definitely cleaner than some other beaches on the island and if you want a quiet relaxing time it’s perfect!
