This property is dated, hot, and not the cleanest. It was dark and depressing. The curtains had to stay closed the entire time to try and maintain coolness. The owner was made aware of issues and immediately moved us.The other property was great. The owner saved the day and our vacation by allowing us to move to other property.

Overall a nice stay. Check in and check out was very easy. House was clean. The 3 AC units did struggle to keep the house cool. It got down right hot. We are from Florida so we know Florida heat is no joke. May want to see about getting another ac unit to help with the heat the ones here worked great just couldn't keep up during the hottest parts of the day. We went and bought a box fan to help some but still was very hot. Other then that was a nice little house to stay in and was perfect for what we needed! We stayed here with our 2 small children no issues. A child lock on the sliders would be nice piece of mind for other families with smaller children too! Kids loved fishing off the back of the house! So nice to have your boat right in tbe backyard.

Overall this is a clean home in a safe community. When checking in we noticed the power was out to one of the rooms. The host was very responsive and diligent on getting things fixed, though it took 2 electricians over 2 days to finally get power back to the room the host was responsive the whole time and compensated us adequately for the inconvenience. If renting this home as a group know that you have to walk through the only bathroom to get to the main bedroom and can be a little inconvenient. I would absolutely recommend this rental and 1000% recommend this host.

This property was exactly what we were hoping for, a no-frills but very comfortable spot by the water in what is a really amazing resort community. Venture Out is a gem with great people, great facilities, and everything you could ask for for a week in the keys. We will definitely be back.

We had a very nice stay. Thank you. No problems

Our stay on Cudjoe Key was definitely within our budget and close to Key West, which was our number one requirement.
The checkin process with Venture Out was more than stated in the listing. We were charged $150 due to having 2 vehicles.
While the inside was clean, there was a bit of a moldy smell. The floor is soft in numerous places, a few of the walls are bowed, and the ceiling in the queen size bedroom is detaching. This might be due to water damage(?)
We were on Key West the majority of the time for a family member’s wedding, so we didn’t spend a lot of time at the property or use the amenities at Venture Out. Overall, your place fit our needs.

The weather was wonderful my grandson loved us sitting by the pool. He read eight books altogether. This trip was all about him. He’s going to be a senior in college in the fall so this was his spring break with his grandma.

We have a long list of problems.
1) Toilet loose and wobbly
2) Broken window replaced with plywood
3)Broken blinds
4)Dresser drawers barely functional
5)Very limited closet space for hanging clothing
6) Major scratches on pocket doors
7) Toaster and toaster oven need to be replaced
8) No screen door as shown in picture
9) A/C units duct-taped to walls
10)Mattress in 2nd bedroom extremely worn/too soft
11) Roof leaked, but mgr. sent a repair person quickly
12) This unit needs major renovation and is definitely not worth the price

This property was better than advertised. I was shopping for a affordable place that I planned to just sleep at and fishermans paradise was so much more. This place screamed florida keys and was exactly what my wife and adult son and his girlfriend wanted. Everything worked perfectly and we all enjoyed the patio on the water from coffee in the morning, drinks in the afternoon to fishing whenever we wanted. Fishing poles were provided also. The resort pool is heated and fun. The restaurants nearby are very good as well. To the next guest that stays here the light switches are not exactly where you think they should be, lol. Perfect stay for my group.

We recently stayed at the Fishermen's Paradise property in Venture Out Resort through Vrbo, and it was a delightful experience for our family of four, including two young kids. The property is impressively clean and well-maintained, especially considering the reasonable rate. While there were some minor inconveniences like the absence of a vent fan and locks in the bathroom, these were negligible issues for us and did not significantly impact our stay. The overall quality of the property far outweighed these minor details. The resort fee at Venture Out Resort provided excellent value with numerous amenities that we ended up utilizing during our stay. When we initially booked, we didn't anticipate spending much time on the property, but the gated and secure environment allowed our kids to freely ride their bikes around, providing us with peace of mind. Situated just a 20-minute drive from Key West, the location proved to be ideal for exploring both the vibrant city and the surrounding areas of Cudjoe Key. Additionally, the dedicated merger and turning lane on the bustling US 1 made entering and exiting the property a breeze, which was particularly valuable. Property owner demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and was always available to address any questions. We appreciate the opportunity to explore Key West from this beautiful property and highly recommend it, especially for first-time Key West visitors on a budget. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with us!

It had everything you needed and was close to stores and a half hour from Key West.
A few suggestions, maybe a new grill, prune the palms on the east side as they made noise when it was windy while sleeping, replace the light bulb in the microwave for easier cooking and replace the broken mini blinds.

This place is a very safe and fun gated community that we definitely enjoyed staying at. My kids loved being able to safely ride around the neighborhood just like they were at home. Everyone that worked there are super friendly, including the security guards at the front gate! We took full advantage of all the amenities that Venture Out had to offer. Our house was very cozy & had everything that we needed for our stay. Shawna was very pleasant & was very prompt in responding to any issues we had during our stay (which was super minor) All in all I would say this place is perfect if you are looking for an affordable getaway that is in a quite neighborhood that is literally minutes down the road from key west. We will definitely visit again.

Was very nice to have the boat only feet away and a quick shot out to the reefs. A/C struggled a bit during the day but at night was great! Overall was very pleased with place. Venture out was also very convenient with a store and pool area for the kids to enjoy. Would stay again for sure.

The place was not dirty but just old and did not have many regular needed household items . There were only a few bathroom towels and zero washcloths. The listing said there were two bikes in which there was only one , even though we wouldn’t have needed it . The grill needs to be replaced it’s pretty rough and the lid was broke when we got there but we fixed it. It was great to keep our boat out front in which we ended up just using it as a boathouse and stayed the rest of our 3 more nights at a resort down the road . The shower is very low and I would not recommend anyone over 6ft staying there. The refrigerator is not a regular size fridge.

This property was exactly as shown. Perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and had all the household essentials. I loved being able to walk out the back door and fish the canal.

Enjoyed our stay. Definitely a Florida Keys vibe. Nice location and an easy drive daily to attend a 5 day music festival in Key West. Kitchen was used for breakfast and lunch every day and had plenty of the essentials needed for basic meals. Even took advantage of the gas grill for one meal. We are fairly low key and the resort area was clean and quiet which made it enjoyable. We made use of some of the amenities as well. If you read the rules and are respectful of the many other residents/guests you will have a great stay! We did!

A cute little house right on the water.. nothing fancy but everything you will need for a perfect stay. Was traveling with my hubby and our two teen daughters so mirror space was a battle, advice, add a mirror to other bedroom or to family room, to help with that lol! Host was very responsive! Venture out is a cool little community and everyone is so very friendly! Will stay again! Thanks a bunch!

The place needs some TLC. Its small. Floors are soft. Walls need painting. Looks like they painted over the bad (prior flooding). Mold on the header beem at the shower. Shower is SMALL and shower head leaks. Only a few wash clothes. The bench outside is rotten and broken so no outside seating. A/c's are small window units and a portable unit which struggled during the day to keep it somewhat cool. Glad we took fans.Thankful it was only high 80's out when we where there. Neighborhood clean.

The property was lovely with the exception of the back bedroom air conditioner that did not work. The bedroom got too hot to sleep in and we were forced to sleep on the pull out. We spoke to the property manager about it and she said the air conditioner was fine. Side note, my husband is 6’2” and he hit his head a lot on the door frame headers. The pool was awesome and the venture out staff was very friendly

Venture Out Fun
We had a wonderful time with the venture out resort property. The amenities, the pool access to the ocean, the recreation room area, laundry facilities everything was really well done. Our property manager was responsive when we had some issues on the first day and took care of the problem for us and went out of their way to make sure we had an extra bicycle for our grandson. I would caution tall people that some of the beams and some of the door jams are a little low and you might bump your head more than once.

Awesome Keys Getaway!
We had an amazing time in the Keys! Everything was as expected or exceeded our expectations. The trailer is a quintessential Florida Keys property. Our visit was in June, so we knew from living in Key West previously in a camper, then a house, that it can be hard for the a/c to keep up during the hottest hours- but you’re on vacation get out on the water or go check out the sights! The sea wall was perfect and such an amazing perk to keep our boat ready to go at all times on the water. We fished out by Venture Key and out on the Gulf side on the flats. One day we took our boat out to Key West and our old stomping grounds. We had such an exciting day! We saw a huge bull shark, two dolphins at Jewfish Basin, sting rays around the mangroves, and then a pod of manatees in the marina on Dredgers Key at the Sigsbee marina. We enjoyed shopping and bar hopping on Duval- highly recommend cheesesteaks from Mr. Z’s on Southard Street right off Duval. They are a must have for us when we visit! So, as you can see, the warm afternoon in the trailer was no issue for us. We loved cooling down in the pool at the end of the day. Having the shower house less than a block away was super convenient for us all to clean up with no waiting. The beds were comfy, the property clean, and Venture Out seemed super safe. A great family vacation and fun getaway. I highly recommend staying here but be realistic about the Keys and the value for your money. This is an amazing place to stay and to be able to keep your boat right with you on the water is unheard of in the Keys for this price. We definitely will come back and stay. Great find on VRBO.

Snorkel trip
Awesome place to stay for me, the lady & son, we had a great time. So much to do in the area & the actual property itself. Looe Key reef isn’t far away. Looe Key Resort is the spot to take a trip out to the reef. 11 minutes up the street. If snorkeling isn’t your thing. The property has plenty to do, swim, fish, etc & Key West is only 25 minutes away.
Thanks for having us, we will be back.

Unplugged from the world
We enjoyed our stay at fisherman’s paradise. We aren’t fishers, and we don’t own a boat but it was still perfect for our family. We had plenty of towels even though we have 4 girls who shower 2 a day. The kitchen had everything we need, the grill was perfect. We did not use the amneties but the looked amazing. Everyone within the community was nice to us as well. There is no wifi and very basic cable but I enjoyed that, and we honestly spent little time inside of the house itself anyways. This location is a hop skip and jump to all of the must see attractions in the Florida keys. 30 mins from key west, and 30 mins from marathon. Can’t go wrong here.

Neat little getaway!
Property is small, but easy parking and well maintained. Well equipped, and perfect for a small group or couple to get away! Fish are abundant in the canal (which is 6 feet from back door) and neighbors, if you choose to engage with them, are friendly. Definitely would visit again!

Fantastic getaway!
My wife and I trailered our boat down from Savannah. This place is the perfect size for 2-4 guest. We kept the boat on the canal which is literally on your back porch! The house was very clean and the accommodations were perfect even though we spent minimal time inside. We will 100% come back asap!

Property was perfect! Docked our boat at the back door. Peaceful and relaxing. All the amenities of home. Shawna took care of any need or helped in any way. Will definitely stay again.

Venture out
This was a wonderful place to stay centrally located in the lower keys. While I didn’t end up using the pool or other community amenities they looked very inviting and it was an easy place to bike and run around. The little cottage had everything we needed. The highlight of the home was the back door that opened to a canal. It was a perfect place to have coffee and relax after a day in the sun.

Venture Out
Stay was o.k., had no hot water (and not much cold) for about 24 hours leaving us no choice but to eat out first night. Would like at least a refund for $100.00 for dinner for 4.
Place has unusual set-up with bathroom, can’t get into master if someone in there. Folks friendly, heated pool a plus. Great if you have a boat, we didn’t. Probably wouldn’t book again. Had to buy a pillow and pans to cook with. There’s were in bad shape and need replaced. I bought a pillow for saggy couch and left all.
