This apartment has a super nice sea view.
I must share some facts, not opinions about this property:
1) Rooms. Property is published for 5 guests, however only have 2 rooms with air conditioner, one with a king and other with a queen bed, what means that it's acceptable for 2 couples. Also you have a sofa in the living room but without air conditioner in a tropical weather, what limit strongly its used. In summary if you have 2 sons, 2 daughters or a son and a daughter, they will have to share the queen bed or one of them will need to sleep with 86F.
2) Facilities. At booking.com page shows an icon with washing machine, however that facility it's not available. That it's specially sensitive when you stay 2 weeks like us, and you receive only 1 set of bed sheets and 1 set of towels. Additionally you will not have the chance to wash your own clothes. Also it's offered a bar that it's not there.
3) Restrooms. Apartment offers 1 restroom "aircraft size" inside one of the rooms, and another one with shower but also very small. Both of them in really bad conditions.
4) Property conditions. Painting and terrace conditions are not in good shape.
5) Price. It's true that in small letter you can see that you have to pay $125 for cleaning on top of the price, however when you are trying to find the cheapest option, you will see this property as cheaper but really it's not because then you have to pay that cleaning fee and also 12.5% of taxes, that in a tax free island it's not so obvious. BTW, beyond this $125 for cleaning, guests are enforced to dispose trash and wash dishes on the last day.
6) Customer service. This property is offered through Booking.com however it's managed as an Airbnb. You will receive a message with a code for a key looker and you will not have contact with nobody else in person.
7) Additional Fees.

The view is stunning - you can see the entire harbor. The apartment is spacious and well maintained. The restaurant next door is excellent for breakfast and dinner.
Know that you will spend quite a bit of money on taxis going up and down the hill to this property. While the owners were very good at communicating, they did try to charge us for a missing plug that we had never used. We were also charged $50 for a late check out(2 hours). We were double charged on our credit card but did get a refund (-$50 for late departure).

it had the most amazing view of the water and the island, just beautiful with two balconies. The host was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. We asked for an early check in and she met us there personally to let us in and inspect the property. The bed was comfortable and the host gave us all kinds of information about what was available nearby.
the furniture was old and stained, very little water pressure in the shower. Rug in bedroom needs cleaned or replaced. We were on top of a mountain and had very little access to anything without taking a taxi and taxis are expensive. the host provided us information about 2 restaurants close by. Limited TV channel access.. may be due to internet being interrupted.

Beautiful views! clean and a great stay for us!

The view was very nice and the apartment was spacious, more than enough space for 4 people.
The host is not flexible and I would not recommend booking an apartment through Booking.com after my experience with Ronita (host). First, Ronita will not offer early check in unless you pay a "cleaner" fee, even when the apartment is available the night prior on Booking.com, which means the apartment is vacant and already clean. I felt that Ronita was not very honest and there were always excuses whenever there was an issue. For example, check in is at 4pm. I texted Ronita at 3:30p for check in details (so we could actually check in at 4p), she did not respond until 3:58PM and stated she had issues with her phone (another excuse). Ronita will also charge you a "nominal fee" for a late checkout.
We experienced an inconvenience: When we arrived, the TV was broken. There is one TV. We informed Ronita and she was not able to replace the TV the next day. The TV was dropped off in a box and it took multiple messages on my end to confirm that the TV was getting replaced and the time the replacement TV was arriving as Ronita did not proactively reach out to remedy the issue. My husband had to assemble the new TV, replace the damaged TV with the new one, and we had to store the trash in the apartment during our stay. Ronita did not offer to do any of this and when we informed her that this work was done she responded that she was going to reach out to see if we needed help (another excuse). I will give Ronita credit, she did replace the TV within 24 hours.
After my stay, I reached out to Ronita for reimbursement due to the TV inconvenience and she only offered her apologies. I then requested a refund and after multiple back and forths, she did eventually offer $50, which I did not feel was enough. I reached out to Booking.com for assistance their policy with apartment rentals is that they reach out to the property owner and request the refund and the property owner says you do not qualify, then Booking.

Outside patio was great and provides a wonderful view.
Shower was bad, bed was not good. AC was not usable, loud noise. Main door to did not have a lock and left us feeling vulnerable.

Views are simply stunning, rooms are nicely furnished and beds are comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, allowing us to cook our breakfasts and several dinners for our group of five. Might be nice to add a few extra cups, bowls and plates for when five are staying in the 2BR. Restaurant and bar up the hill is a great option if you don't want to venture into town. Host was very responsive whenever we reached out with a question.
Street noise from the traffic going up the hill for the back bedroom could be an issue for some, although our group was fine using ear plugs. Bathrooms could probably use some updating (brighter lighting, new tiling, touch up paint, etc.)., but were perfectly adequate for us.

location was great, quiet, with great views of Charlotte Amalie Bay. Relaxing.
kitchen has limited cooking ability (I like to cook), but was not a deal breaker.

Ronita the owner/ manager was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She arranged a ride from the airport for us with only a few hours notice. She provided helpful information. Overall her service was excellent.

The host was amazing - responsive to our needs and willing to offer great options for meals and such. The view was fantastic and the location was easy to get to (you will want your own car).
They have multiple apartments for rent, and only show pictures of the upstairs apartment. If you're young and very active this room would be great! If you're older with bad knees... the 30 pretty steep stairs to get to the front door (especially with luggage and groceries!) are not easy. The distance, and more stairs across to the bathroom are dangerous in the night.
You might want to clarify WHICH apartment you are getting before you book it. The host was incredibly responsive and very good to us.

the person who welcomed us was friendly, and their text messages were helpful.
Old, mold in rooms, a million mosquitoes in it because the mosquito fences had holes, super noisy, just a terrible experience.

The hostess Ronita was wonderful, provided us with plenty to do and with a list for the taxis, which by the end of the trip I preferred. The house was clean, and the view is what you want to wake up to every morning.
It's hard to walk anywhere, but taxis are fairly cheap so not a real big deal. Also this is more with the island, be ready for mosquitoes I would recommend an OFF candle or spray and you should be fine.

The view!
When you stay here! Make sure you ask if you’ll be staying in the upstairs villa or the downstairs villa! If the downstairs? I do NOT Recommend!!! It felt like I was sleeping outside! So many bugs and mosquitoes!!! The kitchen/ bathroom is technically outside! The power went out multiple times during the stay ! This property do NOT have a generator! It was very hard to get a taxi!

The apartment is a good size, the beds are comfortable and the view is priceless!
There is only air-conditioning in the bedrooms, making it a bit uncomfortable to sit around in the evenings to play card games or watch TV.

The mosquitoes and lizards all around
6.0 / 10.0
Really great location and an amazing view. Hosts are helpful and responsive. All appliances worked as they were supposed to. One of the screen doors was so exposed at the top that mosquitos were getting in easily; yet within a day, the host came and added some material to fix the gap. The view from the balcony is amazing.
The photos were misleading. They are photos of the other units, I think. This one was shoddy, especially the kitchen, and AC is only in the bedroom which wasn’t mentioned in the listing description (that I could see). Which meant the wifi doesn’t work in the bedroom because it is encapsulated in concrete. To use wifi, we had to be outside and then eaten alive by mosquitos. Bugs are to be expected, yet if we knew we only had one small room with AC, we would have booked a larger accommodation. Oh and almost no privacy from neighbors on your balcony so if they’re loud and like to smoke, you just gotta deal with it.

The breakfast is for the hotel guests and not this facility
I think it was exactly as advertised.. so there was nothing they could improve on

The best thing about the property was the view from the living room, porch, and deck.
The bedroom was extremely small, the WiFi was spotty, and the tv kept glitching.
10.0 / 10.0
The unit was clean and well kept.
To have the fan on at night in bedroom you have to stand on bed to turn off light. There were no drinking glasses other then 4 small coffee cups. Also no plug in bathroom for hair dryer or curling iron.

This place is super cute, we really loved having it to ourselves. It was clean and Ronita was a great host. Taxis to and from location are crazy expensive, so bank on spending a bit extra if you want to go up and down the hill to town, but if you are happy to navigate the narrow road on foot (0.5 miles only) it is a real find.
Shower had literally no pressure, so would have been annoying if we were staying for more than a night. For a quick stay it was manageable though.

Beautiful views. Conveniently located.

Very nice apartment. they had a great additional air mattress for our fifth guest that we put in the living room. The host is very responsive and helped with any issues including recommendations for food and things to do on the island. Amazing views from the living room and one of the bedrooms.
Weak water pressure in the shower due to the way the water system is on the island. Also the island has frequent power outages so plan accordingly.
