My husband and I ended up leaving our recent stay early-not because of the amazing town of Saugatuck, but the house was not what we expected. Although the proximity to town was great, the house smelled very musty and was not clean. Both of our allergies went crazy as soon as we walked in. The king sized bed upstairs was quite hard and the fan above the bed was wobbling so bad that it looked as if it was going to fall on us at any moment. We couldn't get the TV upstairs to work and the bathroom shower downstairs was SUPER small. The booking and check-in process were great and the owner/property manager Dana was very responsive to our communications. It was just somewhat disappointing for the amount of money we spent on the house for the weekend.

Great location with in walking distance.

We had a nice stay. Shirt walk to town. Upstairs had a deck which was very nice. It does say two bathrooms but I only seen one. Which was ok since it was the two of us.

The spiders outside in the outdoor furniture bit all of us up. Please spray the yard and the lawn furniture.

Loved this house. Perfect to walk into town, but quiet at night. Clean and well stocked with everything we needed.

We loved the location and had a great weekend in Saugatuck. Great to have a grill and a hot tub with the unit

Enjoyed our stay - house was clean and close walk to downtown. Main floor bathroom was small, but clean and functional.
Only complaint is that bedroom mattress on main floor was not good - squeaky every time either of us rolled over, soft with a tilt towards the middle.
Replace that - and all good.
Thanks for letting us use your home.

This was a great house for a girls weekend! Very clean & well stocked house that is within walking distance to downtown.

The house is about a 10 minute walk to town, great location. No frills, nothing fancy, but a good place to stay for a few nights and is dog friendly. Hot tub was nice at the end of a long day. The yard could use some TLC.

The house has an overall nice layout with lots of room in the kitchen and living areas including upstairs bedroom. There is WIFI and basically no other tech in the house and has an "old school vibe". Generous towels and linens most beds were comfortable but the downstairs bed seemed a bit worn and too soft for comfort. Location is excellent in proximity to downtown Saugatuck and a short walk is all it takes to be shopping and dining downtown. Hasn't much landscaping in a while and do not expect groomed grounds. BBQ worked perfectly and the kitchen appliances were used a lot with success.. Expected the property to be more modern an updated for this price. Overall experience was a thumbs up!

Such a great experience at this property. It was very spacious and comfortable. Felt like home

Good location
Location was great, less than 10 min walk to downtown shops and restaurants. House was fairly clean and had basic amenities. Hot tub was nice and relaxing

Nice location, but house needs some TLC
The house is in a great location that is walking distance to all of the downtown Saugatuck locations. The house was not very clean. It had been closed up for a long time. Lots of spiders and pretty sure a mouse/mice based on droppings found on the kitchen counters :(

Tired
The location is great but the house is tired and desperately needs updated. It needs a good deep cleaning as well. A lot of cobwebs etc.

Filthy
This place was a real disappointment. The hot tub was unusable ( dirty and the smell of chlorine was overwhelming). Ceiling fans swung around violently when turned on. Tile on the floor was cracking in multiple locations. We found hair in the refrigerator ice dispenser drain . The ladders they had as bar stools served no purpose and couldn't be sat on. I could go on but I won't. Location is good but I don't recommend.

Very nice...close to downtown.
Last nite there....PLUMBING PROBLEM...AFRAID TO USE showers...toilets...dishwasher and other water needs..Water bubbled up in sinks...leak under wet bar....toilets too slow to remove waste. Used plunger to no avail.

Great house, 4 adults and 3 small dogs, plenty of room.
As it was ready, we were permitted to check in early. Great location. The few questions I had were rapidly answered.

Days with friends
Nice lake community property, perfect for a few friends or small family. Is definitely walking distance to town, at a comparably good price. Had a couple minor issues, but good communication. A small recommendation would be to bring adult size towels and better pillows from home. Also if you like a few cocktails, be careful coming down the stairs 🤪🤪

Pros: Location was perfect for what we needed, as the walk to town was very doable. Dana was also easy to get ahold of and helpful when she could be.Cons: Very dirty and did not seem well kept. The rugs in the bathroom were dirty, dingy, and clearly not washed. The shower in the larger bathroom had brown stains on the wall. Even the soap bottle in the bathroom seemed dirty. As for upkeep, the taste of the water from the fridge would suggest the filter is not maintained. The inside of the dishwasher was absolutely disgusting. The bedding was very old and outdated, and the decor was quite a bit lacking. A few bulbs were out, several outlets were non-functional, and some remotes weren’t working. Based on the condition of the rest of the house, we did not dare try the hot tub.Of note: The house makes a lot of noise and the beds were very creaky and uncomfortable. The bathroom inside the first floor bedroom is smaller than a closet. Both showers are very small, and there is no bathtub, for those who have children. The fireplace is gas and does not require wood. The deck is super cute, but only acceptable through the upstairs loft bedroom. There is a recliner, futon, and couch downstairs, and an additional couch upstairs in the loft.Overall: Even though the location was great, we would not stay here again.

October in Saugatuck...
The property was in a great location. We especially enjoyed the hot tub ( could use a table for beverages). The kitchen was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the fireplace inside. The only suggestion would be new linens and mattresses...they were very worn.

Great stay. Cute home that had everything we needed.

Location but little else
Downtown Saugatuck and the lake are a short walk from the house. The beach is a short drive. From a location standpoint, the property is great. It has little else going for it. The decor is hideous and very outdated. Appliances and fixtures are cheap, old, and not installed properly. There were several missing light bulbs. The oven is not anchored to the cabinets or wall, it could be pulled completely out when opening the door. The tile floor is in need of a serious scrubbing - it is dingy and very dirty looking. The beds are not at all comfortable. The furniture is mismatched thrift shop. The bathroom in the "master suite" is so small as to be almost unusable. It appears to have been installed in very small closet. A normal sized adult male barely fits in the shower and the sink is miniscule. The second bedroom is large but it is upstairs while the accompanying bathroom is downstairs. That bathroom is a reasonable size, but the shower is still quite small. The upstairs bedroom is a loft-style, with no door, an open railing, and somewhat steep steps up to it. The house looks like it's been decorated for Mardi Gras with purple kitchen cabinets and plastic streamers taped up on some walls. The TV is quite small and there is only seating for 3 people in the living room and 3 people at the dining table. Overall the property was a disappointment.

Great Location
Great location with an easy walk to downtown Saugatuck. Great backyard for dog, bbq, and hot tub. The house has plenty of light, but it is definitely a beach rental in terms of being dated and bare bones.

Best Location
Ideal location just steps from downtown. We loved the big deck off the second floor. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It could definitely use a remodel but design isn’t that important to me for a weekend stay.

Great Property
To start Dana made it easy to book our trip - she answered my questions (a ton of them) and she was pleasant to work with. This open concept house served all of us (5) well for the week. The location and outdoor space is great. We will be back!!
We took our family on a “work” anniversary trip as a thank you for supporting my husband & myself through the last 3 years in business.
A rest & reset for sure! Our kids help us time to time with our handcrafted brick & mortar storefront where we create custom furniture and home decor; so a thanks was needed. This was just that. We love it here.
Blessings 🤎

We had an awesome vacation and this property was just as advertised. Very nice and felt like home.

Great location
This was a great location. Easy to walk to downtown Saugatuk and beach was a quick drive. We enjoyed Oval beach. We didn’t mind the $10 parking fee because there were spots next to beach. We tried South Haven beach and couldn’t find a parking spot. So we left

Great location
Loved walkabilty to downtown. Very clean home with all we needed to enjoy Venetian weekend. Loved the hot tub and stereo system. We really felt at home and would like to visit again soon.

Great location
Home could use some TLC. The floors had been swept but not recently mopped. We did not use the hot tub no test strips or chemicals were available for use. One bathroom is tiny and built into a closet, not convenient. The shower in the big bath needs to be scrubbed and recaulked due to mildew. Again, it’s in a great location and with some updating could be a great place to stay.

Had a great time!
This property worked well for our family. We had to do laundry a coup, entimes because there weren’t a lot of extra bath towels or large towels for the hot tub. Also had to run the dishwasher because we ran out of silverware most days. Also, the house doesn’t have cable so I streamed to watch part of Wimbledon the week we were there. We also had to buy paper products (toilet paper, paper towel and napkins) because there wasn’t much (if any) provided for the week we rented. Also were left with very little dishwasher detergent and had to replace it. And bring your own spices. There wasn’t even salt and pepper in the cabinet. And no fire wood for the fire pit. Also bring your own games (we couldn’t even find a deck of cards). However, the place was comfortable and clean and we had a fun time. Location was great!

No frills Saugatuck home with great location
This house is less than 10 minute walk to all of the great shops and restaurants in Saugatuck. The house is comfortable and basic, however it is exactly what people need for a quick get away to Saugatuck because so much of your time is spent out of the house. The check-in and communication with the owners was very easy and quick. I recommend this home to people looking for a nice, quiet getaway.

Great location!
Loved the location! It was an easy, pleasant walk to the heart of Saugatuck. The dishes, cooking utensils, etc were all just right. We had everything we needed. We had five adults and it was just right for us. If anything less than great, it was the tiny second bathroom.
We would definitely stay again!! The whole process of renting and checking in went as smooth as silk!
