Summary:
13329 - Salty Sailor: Waterfront Views of Creek- Beach Access!
The Space:
Overlooking Blackfish Creek, the stunning saltwater and sunset views from this waterfront home will not disappoint at this classic Wellfleet home. Enjoy waking up to the sun peeking through the awning windows of the bedrooms, or start your day sipping your morning coffee overlooking the stunning waters below. Whichever you choose, you’ll end your day happy feeling like a Salty Sailor.
The front door opens into the home’s cozy living room, where you can settle into the sectional and watch your favorite movie on the giant wall-mounted TV, that is if you can pull your eyes away from the water views out the living room windows. Directly to the left of the front door, a breakfast nook sits awaiting your mimosas and morning meals. Straight ahead, the kitchen, with a built-in butcher’s block and plenty of counter space, is a great spot to whip up a vacation meal for the beach or back deck. Continuing through the kitchen, you’ll enter the driftwood inspired dining room, anchored by the massive square window gazing over the water.
When it’s time to catch some Z’s, head upstairs and choose from one of the home’s four bedrooms. Loop around to the left from the stairs to the primary bedroom, where pastel colors welcome you with light wood paneling on the walls with queen bed. Views of the water below shimmer in during the day, and bring peaceful calm at night. Adjacent to the primary bedroom is the second bedroom with a queen bed and beautiful built-in cabinetry. Straight ahead of the stairs is the third bedroom who’s two twin beds have gorgeous linens adorning them that beautifully accent the dark wood paneling. The final bedroom is to the right of the stairs, with distinctive aquamarine wood paneling on the walls, complemented by the linens and bedside cabinet, with views overlooking the water below. Also upstairs is the home’s full bathroom with artistic sea-faring wallpaper, a double vanity with built-in swiveling toothbrush holders, and a shower tub combo.
Step outdoors through the back door, with a subtle stained glass window welcoming you to the jaw dropping backyard, porch, and detached back deck. The covered porch is a great place to listen to the seagulls and feel the salty breeze, while the backyard and picnic table awaits family fun. Venture out to the detached back deck, which serves an incredible vantage point of the panoramic water views. Walk further down the stairs, where an additional landing sits before traversing the remaining stairs down to the water, where you can explore the tidal flats at low tide or jump in for a quick swim when the water comes in.
Located in a small, quiet, close knit community, and down the road from Wellfleet town center, this home is perfect for families looking for a Cape escape. Any vacation goer coming this far up the Outer Cape can only consider themselves to be one thing, a Salty Sailor.

We picked this house for the ideal setting on Pleasant Point Bay with views. Plus it is super close to Provincetown with the world’s greatest whale watching and without the price of Provincetown! Quiet, quaint, well equipped kitchen, with natural beauty. Living room needs an update.

Love Wellfleet, love the view from the house, comfortable place. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and cool all weekend, and the ants were out of control, but we still had a great time.

Awesome place, and awesome view!

Overall experience very nice. House and property a bit challenging - lots of stairs in and out. Several windows do not open and home needs work but the outdoor space makes up for it all. You can swim off the beach area at high tide comfortably and walk all along the shore at low tide. Sweet spot! Great place for R&R.

Location, location, location is what this property is all about. The house itself is a little worn, but it is a classic and the location is wonderful.

Comfort with a view
A great place to stay favorite part was the deck overlooking the Black fish creek for quiet sun-rises and sets. Got to meet the town shellfish warden and learn about the local oyster flats.
The home was comfortable with all the kitchen tools I look for.
Nice and relaxing place for our long weekend

Extended Family Vacation
Terrific rental that was perfect for our group that included grandparents, siblings and cousins. The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the water. There was plenty of room in the dining room for games at night and we were able to launch our kayaks most mornings.

Pleasant Point Wellfleet
The home is quaint and the location is spectacular. Although there were minor issues accessing the property and turning on the heat the DelMar property management team managed both issues immediately and were extremely conscientious with follow up and their service was extraordinary and they were very capable with resolution.

Great location and view but lacks privacy
The view of the marsh is AMAZING from this location and overall happy with our stay. However, we booked this place as a last minute vacation and there weren't many options available. If you're booking well in advance, I'd maybe keep looking for other options. Here were my issues:
- Responsiveness from Del Mar (we needed info so we could get our Wellfleet beach stickers and they took forever to reply)
- The back yard has very little privacy (the two neighbor's backyards are right next to this house's). Couldn't gauge that from the listing but was definitely a negative surprise
- The separate cottage has no air conditioning
- The house could use some TLC (some of the screens at the front door were broken and the yard was completely unkempt, not to mention generally dated décor)

Gorgeous location!!
We absolutely fell in love with the location of this house. Very central, quiet and a gorgeous landscape to walk out into. We were able to take advantage of the creek and swim at high tide. Our little ones loved it. The sunsets were also beautiful to watch. The house was well equipped with most everything you would need in the kitchen, however, the stove top was not functioning properly. It would get extremely hot even at a low setting, thus burning food at times. I think it either needs to be recalibrated or replaced. The gas grill was also pretty shoddy...it would only get hot towards the back. The house itself is not as bright as it appears in the pictures, the aesthetic is super old school (which we were totally fine with). However, the mattresses and pillows were not comfortable at all. I slept poorly all week, unfortunately. If the house replaces the mattresses/pillows and grill-we would absolutely return. We just felt like more effort needed to be put into ensuring these things were up kept. We had a wonderful week, nonetheless. Del Mar was very responsive and helpful. We love Wellfleet!

Great Family Week
My family and I so enjoyed our time at Pleasant Point. The location was great - super close to Provincetown and Chatham but in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was so nice having a private beach area - the only thing that could have made it better would be if the tides were in our favor. Low tide was mid-day each day we were there which made swimming at the house near impossible. But there are nearby nice beaches to swim at anyways!

Old rustic farm house
We booked this home for the 5 bedrooms for multiple families. It’s a old farm house so bedrooms are tiny. Doable but very tight. The water front was a river marsh beautiful to look at but not a swimming beach for kids. We did paddle boarding and kayak just not swimming.

Private beach & gorgeous water views!
This waterfront home in Wellfleet offers space for the whole family (to include a separate cottage for the in-laws!!), incredible views of Blackfish Creek, two beautiful decks and its own private beach. The property manager, Del Mar Vacations, provided stellar service every step of the way, from responsive customer service to providing clean linens and towels (not the norm in our past Cape Cod experiences!) . Outstanding home, experience & service!

First time to Wellfleet
I recently rented this property with 8 other guys (some family and some friends) for a weekend getaway. We had previously reserved another location that was suddenly cancelled on us and had to scramble to find a new property to rent to accommodate us all and found this home. This location was perfect for us because there was a total of 4 bedrooms in the main house which slept 7 of our 9 people. The two oldest members of our group shared the two bedrooms in the small side cottage which had its own bathroom so they go to bed earlier than the rest of us and not be bothered by all the night owls in the main house. The kitchen was well suited for our needs with everything we needed available right there. The only yard space is in the back of the house near dock down to the private beach area. It’s small but we were still able to set up some fold out tables out there and also our corn hole set. There was no one staying in the two houses adjacent to ours for the weekend so we had a bit of light country music going on a small portable speaker we sat on the deck space. The private beach area isn’t well suited for fishing which we hoped for but it’s a beautiful sight nonetheless and the low tide makes the water disappear during the morning. There were people off in the distance driving their trucks out on the sand likely clamming or cohogging. If you plan ahead you could probably do that also and have yourself a nice meal right at the house! Although if you also don’t want to work for it, there are a number of great sea food places in the area. We spent both of our nights at a local beach bar called the Beachcomber and were able to take Uber’s / Lyfts right to the bar easily. It was about a 10 minute drive and cost about $15 each way. We had lunch one day at a local BBQ place and the final morning had a breakfast buffet at a local place that was outrageously good and probably the best hidden gem we found along the way. I would certainly recommend the rental for any Wellfleet visit and would ranked Wellfleet pretty high up on my list of relaxing destinations to getaway for a weekend.
