Location was great and the apartment was very nice.
The only entrance without stairs was the back door, and someone from the inside had to let you in that way.

Spacious two bedroom apartment with two toilets.
No on site reception and the apartment representative was late for my check-in despite I have to pay additional £40 for check in between 9pm to 12am
No apartment cleaning for my 5 days. No additional trash bag and no additional toilet roll.

very good location, very safe area! Excellent property, free wifi available, Netflix available, very quiet area, no noise!
Deposit paid by cash only & refundable a week after you left the property, not told in advance by email! Also put under pressure for check out, someone standing outside the door constantly reminding you to leave. No parking available, have to pay to park for 20£ a day

We had a problem with the shower and were not able to get it fixed. We called it in but no one responded by the time they gave us that they would. Otherwise very good location and we enjoyed the apartment. The location was excellent.

Location was a bit further from Excel than we had expected from the info. Appartment was great. In a quiet neigbourhood.
I made it very clear before arriving that i would need two keys. We did not get that and that created a lot of challenges. Also i asked about towels before arriving and was told it would be available. But there were only hand towels and that is just poor for showering.

The location
The rude arrogant attitude of apartment manager. The main bedroom curtain rail had come away from the ceiling, the radiators in the bathrooms were rusty and the skirting boards were split/rotten (probably due to the extractors not working), the ensuite bathroom lock jammed whilst someone was using it causing distress as the other people were on the balcony and couldn't hear the shouting and banging, a stained mattress was left in the lounge and was only removed when it was firmly insisted. Poorly equipped kitchen, only 2 eating knifes, melamine side plates (should be crockery), soap not provided at every sink and no hand towel in kitchen couldn't use the oven as there are no instructions despite a number of attempts and googling the instructions, trays in the oven not clean, some crockery was dirty. It is obvious that a check of the equipment etc is not carried out between occupancy and that the apartment is poorly equipped and maintained. After discussing some of our early concerns with the lady in Admin, who was very helpful and pleasant, we were offered the opportunity to move to another apartment and the move would need to be completed by 8pm, however by the time the offer came we were on our way out and could not do that and to be honest based on what we had seen so far I don't think it would have been any better.

Beautiful apartment within walking distance of the excel center. Local Sainsbury’s grocer a block away and little Hudson cafe for brunch.

The place is beautiful and good for families. Located in a community with grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants. Quick walk to the DLR. they let me check in early which was greatly appreciated, since we had only 2 days in london and every minute counted.
Easy way to find out more about the amenities, directions to the public transportation station stops.
Maybe an app or email.
A few more starter groceries and things to start with like washing detergent.

After booking the apartment and receiving an email confirmation from booking.com full payment were made no request for deposit no discussion or notification about a deposit. a few hours before arriving there was a text message with further check in information and arriving at the apartment there was a further confirmation text discussing a deposit that was not mentioned anywhere on the site or confirmation email previously. slightly annoying but we managed to get the deposit after. our stay everything was fine during our stay but getting the deposit back took a lot of whatsapp messaging and 4 days to receive it back. there was a lot of missed messages the man that was contacting us via whatsapp was different to the booking.com team and it seams like there was no communication between them. overall experience was 6/10

the apartment was nice.
the house managers decorum was astoundingly rude and unacceptable. aggressive, disorganised and unprofessional house manager.
We had a very unpleasant experience with the house manager (Uzoma) whilst staying at the apartment. He was 45 minutes late even though we gave him 30 minute warning of us arriving. He kept saying “I will be 2 minutes”, which he wasn’t. We found this unprofessional and if you can’t commit to a time frame you should organise a key safe option and not halt your guests proceeding with their trips plans.
The house manager asked us to pay the deposit which we were happy to do. On the booking it was £250, and firstly he said I was wrong and it was £300. Secondly he could not get his card payment machine to work and demanded we paid the deposit cash. As there would be no trail for this payment or safety in getting our cash back we were not happy to do this. He wanted to walk us to a cash machine and video us taking money out and handing it to him as “security”. We were happy to pay Austin Davis over the phone, he still was not happy with this and started insulting us saying “I don’t know what people from Scotland are like, but people in London pay a cash deposit.” Which was offensive. He also threatened that if we didn’t pay this he will make us leave the apartment and we won’t be allowed to stay. Baring in mind his faulty machine was not our fault. It’s also not how you speak to guests. His manner and aggression continually progressed and was quite frightening for 3 young woman to be screamed at by a grown man through no fault of our own. His behaviour was wholly unreasonable. Once he left we phoned the Austin Davis office to explain what had just happened and they said they would phone us back. We did not hear back from them. We also feared this man would return throughout our stay. We were not informed of the checkout process even though we tried to contact them via email and their website.

The property was very clean, contemporary, warm, had everything we needed as well as a local supermarket nearby. We felt it was in a safe area and location was great for the Excel centre.
The property was great location for our visit to the Excel Centre however it was a wee bit far from the city centre for our liking and possibly the stairs up to apartment, but not really a problem.

clean, modern style apartment. Bathrooms were clean and the shower was lovely. Bedrooms were a good size and importantly clean too. Sainsbury’s is just downstairs and Starbucks 2 minute walk away. The surrounding area is beautiful and I would go back to the area just to walk around.
Absolutely freezing in the apartment. Had to walk around with a blanket even though the heater was on 35 degrees. No phone reception and couldn’t connect to the apartment WiFi because reception was so poor. Could only get reception outside on the balcony and in February it was very cold so I had to make phone calls and all communications on the balcony. The lack of reception also meant the TV cable was not working. So no Netflix, no free view channels. My stay was 2 days, and it was only on the 2nd day after clicking through, I managed to work the freeview. There were also no blinds in the kitchen and living room. This is a high building, surrounded by other apartments and I felt all surrounding neighbours could clearly see through. Absolute no privacy. The host, Lina was very disorganised and not very empathetic. I called a day before my booking to check to see if there was local parking. All in one breath she replied yes there is and that the apartment I booked was no longer available as the guests were staying another month. If I didn’t call, would I have been informed? She then said she would send through another apartment for me to look at and if I didn’t approve of the second option she would cancel my booking all together!!!!! She took just over an hour to send me through the pictures of the alternative apartment. The alternative was much smaller than my original booking but I felt I had no choice but to accept as it was a day before my booking and during the current circumstances, not all apartments are accepting guests. On the day of my booking, about 2 hours before, I had realised I still hadn’t received the address for the alternate apartment. I messaged Lina, an hour went past and she responded. She informed me that she managed to book me into the original apartment I booked. Although I was relieved, I was feeling anxious because of the lack of organisation. Finally met with Lina for the booking and she was telling us what we CANT do.
