Fantastic stay in Leith

The accommodation was ideal for the week we had ie: going to the Tattoo, the Britania , the Fringe festival , the Zoo and general site seeing which were all easily accessible from Leith by a very efficient tram and bus service. Overall it has a 10 out of10 from us in covering all of our needs resulting in a great week away.

Séjour en famille agréable entre le port et le centre

Un appartement agréable, propre et bien équipé avec assez d’espace pour une famille de 4 personnes, dans un quartier tranquille avec un accès super facile au centre ville (arrêt du tram à 3 minutes). Un Sainsburry pas loin, ainsi que plusieurs cafés/restaurants/pubs. On peut également rejoindre à pied le centre commercial Océan Terminal (et ses guichets pour la visite du yacht royal). Nous y reviendrions sans hésiter, on voit bien que la propriétaire se soucie du confort de ses hôtes.

Les lits pas très confortables, les matelas avec les ressorts qu’on sentait (mais c’est probablement une question d’habitude). Et il faudrait avoir deux clés, ou alors le code de la porte d’entrée, car si on rentre séparément on est obligé de téléphoner à la personne dans l’appartement pour qu’elle descende ouvrir. Aussi nous avons trouvé dommage qu’il n’y avait personne pour nous expliquer les choses, on nous a laissé la clé et un classeur avec les différentes instructions que nous n’avions pas lues tout de suite et nous sommes retrouvés sans eau chaude pour la douche le premier jour.

Owner was great from the start had a good time in Edinburgh and will be back

Location to the trams for onward travel was great. Found good food and drink close by. Appartment was in a quiet location with parking provided.

Appartment is to a good standard with only a little updating needed. Not a fan of all wooden floors but understand the need. Only very minor issue which the owner accepted which did not effect or stay. That all said I would stay there again and good value for money.

Maravilloso apartamento.

Apartamento muy cómodo, limpio y luminoso. Te hacía sentir realmente como en casa. Situado muy cerca del tranvía por lo tanto aunque esté algo alejado del centro, con el tranvía llegas enseguida. Un acierto y de verdad lo recomiendo al 100%. Barrio tranquilo, seguro y cerca del puerto, lo cual le da un valor añadido.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Close to lots of amenities.

Location was excellent. Good restaurants and shops nearby.

Needed a blind in the main bathroom and more towels. Also needed more pillows on the bed.

Lovely flat in great location

Well-appointed flat in great location, near new tram station and bus terminus. Very quiet and comfortable

Could have provided a few more essentials. Checking in rules could be more straightforward and not requiring so much notice, although the owner and manager responded promptly.

Great location.. and spacious, well stocked apartment

Great location.. such a lovely area, and really close to the city. Spacious apartments with everything you need.

Parking permit was an issue, you need to let the owner know at least two weeks in advance for it to be posted to you. This wasn’t made clear and resulted in a last minute stress and expense of finding an alternative parking arrangement. Not to do with apartment but don’t rely on taxi’s!! Local buses were so much more reliable, helpful and much cheaper.

Easy exploration of Edinburgh from this comfortable flat.

very nice to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms for one couple and friend. We were happy to have kitchen to prepare all breakfasts and a few meals. washer dryer allowed us to do laundry. Comfortable living room. Quiet neighbourhood. Great public transit options from Waverley station/ centre of city to property.

Nothing to dislike aside from a little hard to locate the property.

The flat was ideally situated in Leith, with good bus (and soon-to-be tram) links into Edinburgh. Light and airy, close to a good shop and pubs/restaurants, the flat was welcoming to return to after our day’s exploring.

We arrived in the dark and stumbled around a little before locating the flat, because Timber Bush covers quite a large area and our location apps were not quite detailed enough - perhaps a detailed map would have helped?

A great home from home in Leith.

Great location and very homely, and with everything you could need.

We just weren’t sure where the bins were for our rubbish. otherwise it was a perfect base for a visit to the area.

Disappointing. A shame as this property could be great.

Location. Shower was good.

The property hadn’t been hoovered. Ashley was rushing around while we were there cleaning the bathrooms. We had to put beds together despite requesting this at time of booking. No double duvets. When we moved the beds the dust was horrendous. The dust in the extractors was horrendous. We had an asthmatic with us who really suffered. We had to empty the dishwasher from the last guests. There was a cracked wine glass in the dishwasher. No bags for the bin provided. The bin lid left on the floor across from the bin. Towels didn’t smell fresh at all, we washed them. No pillow protectors. We requested extra pillows as only one was on the beds which was totally flat. We were given cases and put them of ourselves. There was an awful used soap left in the shower. I tried around 8 times to contact the owner on the day of check in, left a voice mail but it was a Irish number and I never got a call back. The owner appeared in email to get shirty with me.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

Apartment was spacious, clean, warm and well equipped. Very central to restaurants and bars. A pleasant manageable walk into Edinburgh despite the rain!

Great location, no fuss entry, clean, bright and warm.

Very easy to collect the keys. Great location and really clean and warm. Also very bright with lots of great kitchen utensils.

Our stay was great. We also couldn't find the parking permit and I almost got a ticket. But the flat is great!
