The customer service was fantastic. Staff were quick, efficient, incredibly friendly and very understanding of requests.
No pool or gym on site. Understand the pool given the building is heritage-listed however a gym would've been fantastic and seems to be a missed opportunity. Our soft-poached eggs at breakfast were overcooked and hard.
3.0
The room was spacious
We called for property management to assist with the television and no one came. Mini bar was not stocked when we entered the room after 3 pm. There’s no personal attention on check-in. It was a computer. We were were there for a special occasion and I thought at least we would be welcomed.

Location & facilities. Great bar on the 5th floor.

Excellent location

Location and upgraded dining and bars
Self check in. It depersonalised the welcome experience. The terminal said my room wasn’t available (at 3.30pm) and to see guest relations which I did. The check in process was smooth with the staff on the welcome desk. Did not like the self check in at all. For a 5 star hotel this is disappointing. Guests who pay a lot of money expect a more personalised service. Self check in is a missed opportunity to give guests a great experience and connect them to the city and hotel facilities and services. Reception area was also very noisy.

Great size room with a very comfy bed.

Good location, but that was about it, really.
Was put in a room that had renovation / construction work happening directly outside the window of the room - literally 1-2 metres away - and was woken up by hammering / drilling etc at 6.30-7 in the morning.
2.5
It’s a nice hotel- recently renovated, updated rooms and modern facilities.
We were so disappointed with our stay, we paid a lot for our room and our TV didn’t work, we were so looking forward to relaxing and watching a movie but we were unable to. I called and it took 1.5hrs for them to offer another room at 9.15pm at night. That’s not excusable for the cost of the room.

Not much
Room very poor, ie no luggage rack, wardrobe or drawers “floor space only”
3.5
The location in Sydney was excellent
Still in the middle of renovations which effected the restaurants
2.5
The rooms were nicely decorated and hallways etc, beds & linen nice and luxe (pillows were flat and ordinary though)
The whole hotel was under renovation, front and back entrance very poor, rooms were very small & bathrooms dated, TV didnt have smart capacity we couldn't get the chrome cast or screen mirroring to work. The hallways and surrounds were so so dark like a dungeon & the breakfast room was so strange, no proper tables, just coffee chairs and breakfast in an another room completely. Location to shopping areas very average.
4.0
Easy checking and departure
Having the upgrade was a pleasant surprise
All ammenities I required
And everything was no fuss or hassle
Nil
You have take into account the refurbishment that is going on, which is being managed very well with no impact to guests
The Chifley development across the road is a bigger issue for the hotel, but not a problem for myself as S huest

Location
Hard to find the entrance. They use temporary back entrance. No signs!
Cleanliness is poor. Carpets were dirty everywhere.
There is no sheet between quilt. Only one fitted sheet and quilt

The food was good. The location was good. Sydney was good.
The hotel is 100% over priced. They were doing construction work at the hotel which was very noise and should have been isolated from rooms which they rent out. They continued to charge full price for rooms even though it is a construction zone and very noise. The bed in my room was not 5 star and should have been replaced a long time ago.
2.0
Very poor facility and choice and quality of breakfast items very poor
Hotel was noisy and lack of restaurant when arriving at 8:00pm meant there was no options other than room service .
Room had 2 double beds but only one chair ruling out room service

Renovations restrict Main Street access. Inconvenient when doors locked after hours and it’s raining

The location is great and although the hotel is under renovation, staff was super friendly and the executive suite I chose was spacious and super clean
Due to the renovation, breakfast area lacks of charm and reception is confusing a bit.

The hotel staff knew it was our anniversary and they surprised us with the most gorgeous petit fours and sparkling wine delivered to our room on our arrival. It was a lovely way to be welcomed. The staff were all so lovely and genuinely friendly. Our room was really nice - comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! Thank you for making our anniversary even more special.
The mini bar was empty. It would be great to have some sprits and mixers in the room to make our own cocktails too!

The staff were all amazing, friendly and helpful. Bed was also very comfortable, pity all the noise prevented me getting a decent sleep each night!
Noisy horrible place where after 10 hours a day in a conference I was unable to get a decent sleep! The wait times at the lifts was a minimum 20 minutes with peak times over 1/2 hr. While it may “tick the boxes” for available services, this is NOT a 5 star hotel and I won’t stay here again.

The staff were amazingly helpful
We were not aware that this hotel is undergoing major renovations.
4.5
The location is terrific , great room service with a good menu. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Could do with a movie channel or movie package, but that’s a minor thing.

The head of the Concierge staff went out of his way to assist us. He helped us walk our 21st birthday items to the restaurant!
On arrival, 3pm, we got told our rooms are not ready, and to "go for a walk" A rather large group with 4 under 5 and a lot of luggage, we then where told we did not get the upgrade offered to us (we would have been charged additionally, more than happy with that) because full paying guests requested the rooms... last i check we had been paying full rate.
Later when more of our guests arrived i attended the desk to check them in, i confirmed we had one more set of guests coming in from interstate, and asked do i need to be present to pay, the attendant said no they have my card. When my guests arrived they got told 1stly they had no booking and secondly i haven't paid and didn't offer to pay, and they proceeded to charge my guest! Following this, their rooms had not been ready either!
I booked and paid for all guests for breakfast, this is now a group of 15, and when my guests arrived at the restaurant they got told they had no booking, even though i confirmed as i arrived before them to arrange a table, they got given a lecture saying their room only has 1 adult on it and they are 2 adults and a child! They got told that someone would be coming to our table to do a "headcount" as they believe we have guests who aren't checked in! They made my guests feel like criminals!
The rooms where dirty. My 2 year old found a clump of long black hair on the carpet and like toddlers do dug under the bed and found used plastic wrappers ! And as stated before, we had been emailed an offer to upgrade (paid) we requested the upgrades and then to be told " you are full paying guests" "so you cant have the rooms"
We have stayed at this venue before and never had this kind of treatment or experience! Horrible, 5 star no more... i would struggle to give a 3 star...
Mind you this was all for my Brother's 21st birthday!

Location was great and convenient and value for money. The hotel had a great ambience and smell throughout.
Breakfast was disappointing. I ordered eggs benedict and was unsure if they forgot about my order or it was a long wait but my family finished before I decided to get up and ask for it.
If there was a wait time on it I would rather have known and not make the order.

The staff were very friendly and incredibly accommodating. We loved the buffet breakfast. The room was lovely and comfortable and very clean. The location was spot on as we were on our way to a cruise just a short walk to circular quay.
Nothing.

We had booked one room with Booking.com to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary but we’re not particularly impressed with the room booked. I had rung the hotel directly to add an additional night’s stay and we were delighted that Vanessa, at reception, arranged for us to have a much nicer, larger suite for us for our second night. My husband and I were both impressed with the professionalism and care shown by Vanessa.
Disappointed in the size of the Classic King room.

Room 745, I loved the outlook onto the curved garden and our little Juliet balcony, walking distance to Circular Quay and all transport, Lobby bar was great with great food also and open till late.
I don't like that quilts are held on the bed with sheets these days
