lift was broken and staff where clueless

Location was terrific and central. The staff were fabulous and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a large variety to choose from. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable.
The parking situation leaves a bit to be desired, we found through experience that it is much cheaper to park in the public section. While the staff were terrific, checking in was a bit tedious, I had pre booked so the process for me was much quicker, but there was still a lengthy wait for those going through in front of me.

On arrival we were greeted by a Vietnamese male that evening, he was an absolute gem! Personalised our experience by acknowledging my fiancé’s pounamu, and culture. Then the conversation just flowed, working in hospitality these type of interactions with your guest are always a great impression!
Acknowledging your guest and personalising their experience by conversing about similarities etc
Buffet breakfast was great too! Location is perfect and bed was like a floating cloud after a long holiday of activities and travelling, coming back home to Australia this was definitely what we needed before heading back into reality
Parking was a little complicated for those who aren’t sure of the city as Sydney’s really busy, however the concierge at the front of the entrance was so helpful! He gave us a thoroughly instructed form of where to locate and which floor etc

Close proximity to everything. About a 20-25 minute walk to Circular Quay (depending how fast you walk!) , and about 5-7 mins to Darling Harbour.

Car park is very awkward and smells bad

I’m disappointed with my stay and don’t plan on returning. The room was much smaller than expected, and almost everything had an extra charge even movies on the TV! For the price I paid, I expected more, like a sofa instead of a small balcony, as shown in the photos. Plus, there was no complimentary water I had to pay for that, too. The only highlight was the staff they were very friendly and helpful, which is why I’m giving one star.
Providing complimentary water would be a nice touch some guests don’t drink coffee or tea, so small gestures like that make a difference. The room also lacked essentials like toothpaste and a toothbrush, which would have improved the experience. It would help if supplies were double checked before guests arrive; for instance, my shower gel was empty when I needed it. Honestly, I feel pretty disappointed it just wasn’t a good experience.

I felt the breakfast was a bit average.

The breakfast closed too early

Rydges World Square is in a central location. Easy access to public transport. Clean and comfortable. Quiet.
Only coffee was provided - no tea or biscuits in the room.
4.0
Excellent location for Chinatown and for the Capitol theatre which were the main reasons we stayed there
The room wasn't cleaned after our second night. We had opted for not having the room made up the first night but it was a little disappointing that they then didn't do it after the subsequent night.

Breakfast was poorly arranged had to get staff to open up more seating, no butter, disappointing

Comfortable bed
Very dated bedrooms. The shower leaked, the window was tiny and the tv didn’t work

The location
Food was cold, charged for breakfast for 2 and wouldn't give a discount as there was only 1.

Location was great - suited our needs perfectly - that's why we chose the hotel. We were able to check in when we arrived at midday which was a bonus!
We requested twin beds but the room had a king bed - didn't matter too much.

Make long way to get to the room. However, there are two elevators so choose your closest one.

Staff were excellent and helpful , comfort beds great. Facilities and location everything needed. Short walk to capitol theatre , darling harbour China town and public transport.
Requested and paid extra for “private balcony and city views.” Room was one floor above reception looking directly over rocks and broken glass. With a view of nothing but the other wing of the hotel about 15 meters away.

It was pretty close to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, about 15 to 20 minute walk.
The bed and pillows were comfy.
I wasn't particularly keen on the room we had, not even sure it was what we booked as some of the things that were listed on booking.com, weren't actually in the room 🤔
The room was, I suppose, clean enough, although when we moved the table to plug the adapter in, there was quite a bit of dust there. The vent in the bathroom was also nearly clogged with dust and one of the tiles in the bathroom was broken!
I had to ask twice for milk to be brought to the room and extra towels too, as 2 towels in a room is not enough!
The bar closed at 9.30pm 😳
