Breakfast was exemplary

The location is superb.
The room is not clean. Discovered when I lost an earring and moved the bed only to find what was under the bed (not the earring). Vacuuming seems to be forgotten! It was dirty. The bath mats are small and flimsy as I fell over in the bathroom, water on marble is not a good mix. A bigger bath mat would have helped! Room was left unserviced one day when I returned and I had to chase them to send housekeeping. They issue to many excuses. Frankly I don’t care about the excuses I just want my room serviced daily so I can relax in the evening. The location is superb. Maybe the hotel is trading a bit too much off this?

LOvely room with a lovely view over Double Bay. Location is great within walking distance of harbour ferries
Little/No drawers in the room - we were there for 3 nights and couldnt unpack our clothes

The rooms are lovely, spacious bathroom and comfy bed. Staff are friendly and the location is superb and so close to amazing restaurants and shops.
I booked the accommodation months in advance through Booking.com, however no one at reception advised me when I checked in that it included complimentary breakfast, I was only told when I checked out.

The bed was quite comfortable and they have very nice soaps / shampoos etc in the bathroom.
When we arrived to check in for our wedding weekend, the room looked like people had been lying on the bed already, there were napkins on the floor and they had left a rollout bed. Overall the rooms are tired and old, with many things not working. For example the electric curtains were stuck closed.
Additionally, despite informing before we checked in that it was our wedding and that my husband and his family would get ready and leave from the hotel, service was terrible and slow. For example their lunch / food ordered never arrived so they ended up going to the wedding hungry. Or whenever we needed to call down to the concierge it was always a long wait until we could finally get someone to assist. It was all just very underwhelming and disappointing for the money we paid at this hotel.

Hotel vibe was good
The pool bar was a bit untidy and lacked atmosphere

Fabulous location, we really like the hotel, though there is construction site going on both sides of the hotel, so a little disappointed as we paid extra to have the bay view....but it was obstructed by a huge crane and more of less constant noise, which hasn't been reflected in the price at all
The big constructions sites on both sides of the hotel without any aknoledgement from the hotel, no discount , no warning about it etc. There is a reason why we paid extra for the bay view, not for the huge crane view sadly

Room very spacious. King size bed very comfortable. TV good size and position and plenty free programs. Lovely small balcony. Staff couldn't have been better everywhere. Aaron and Carol 2 names that come to mind of the welcoming feeling that all the staff gave. Breakfast very good in which I loved the juice extractor for my own green juice with ginger and turmeric. There is a free pool and gym which I didn't use so I can't rate.
Parking attendants very helpful. Free wifi. Great position in Double Bay surrounded by shops and eateries and busses UBER taxis etc. Take the cheapest UBER to the airport less than $AU40 for two with luggage. Booking with Booking.com including breakfast a huge plus.
Parking at $AU70 a day very expensive. 5pm checkout after 6 night stay $AU200. If they weren't full could have been a better rate.

We book a room with two double beds and got a king and single that was very cramped. This is falsely advertised on booking.com with a picture of two double beds
I was charged twice, this is unacceptable
The lady who answered our call when booking was rude and hung up
there was a long line on arrival at reception

Drinks on the rooftop by the pool
The heater/air conditioner didn’t work, staff were slow to respond the requests, room service wasn’t good food, a wedding was on in the courtyard and so loud we couldn’t relax. Dirty stained carpet and dirty lift doors.

Not much really. The bathroom was functional (can't say it was clean).
These rooms are getting a bit tired and old. Furnishings looking very weathered. The blinds kept opening on their own....rather annoying when you are asleep!!!! The bed was so uncomfortable. I had numerous springs digging into me all night long. Pillows were 100% pointless and looked older than my 85 yr grandmother. Don't even get me started on the room service!!! It took them 2 hours to bring a meal to my room!
