Especially the pot of tea makes a Chang’s from a teabag in a cup .
Our bedroom was very small
Bathroom door hit the end of the bed .

Breakfast was lovely
when we checked in the staff member gave us the key to our room and when we went to the room it hadn't been cleaned or the beds made, we were given another room and the bin in the en-suite hadn't been emptied and seemed like they were very rushed or short staffed, there wasn't any shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom, I went to reception and asked for some shower gel and shampoo and was given body moisturiser and didn't notice until the next morning! We have stayed here two times before and it was fantastic shame it wasn't upto par this time.

Breakfast was top class. Room was quirky in the original inn. We loved it. Very comfortable and clean.

Location, parking, food.
Room was poor. Dark and dismal. Cheap furniture. No comfort. Poor room service.

Good quality accommodation and good food
The very old staircase to our room but given the age of the building not unexpected

location, space, peace
room could have done with shower cap and hairdryer

Room was good, with decent beds and linen, nice bathroom products. Welcome was good without being over bearing. No problem about securely storing bicycles
Dinner service could have been more attentive and was slow. Either the staff had too much to do or were focussed elsewhere

It had old world charm.

Property is in an ideal location close to Stockbridge High St. There is a walk onto The Test Way right from the hotel.
The staff are very friendly and the property is very clean and spacious.
Our room was ideal off the car park, clean and spacious with a v good shower.
I had the salmon fillet in the restaurant and it was very tasty.

Main course was covered in 9 large new poatoes. Not an appealing sight.

All good

Female staff excellent. Room very good and clean.
Unfortunately I think the chef is a concern. Freezing cold poached eggs and very undercooked sausage for breakfast. Unbelievably that same evening i was served fish that was off. Male staff appeared sullen and indifferent.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place has a lot of atmosphere. The food and drink offering is very good indeed. My fish and chips were excellent . Breakfast was top class with a great choice and quality ingredients. Room and bathroom tastefully appointed in a retro modern style. Also quality was the in room tea and coffee facilities.
The room we stayed in suffered from very little natural daylight with high up windows above head height that made it feel somewhat claustrophobic. It is part of a modern extension to the property and felt hemmed in on the adjoining older building. This made for a less uplifting experience that the rest of the property promised on entering

That we had to leave !
4.5
Very comfortable stay, particularly attention to detail and very clean.
The door leading to the bathroom had a frosted glass panel door, I am sure it was to help with light in the bathroom during the day but when the light was on in the evening a perfect silhouette could be seen through it, a little embarrassing.

nice room and good location
the food was awful, I had calves liver, it was chewy and over over seasoned, one piece was so bad I couldn’t cut it up, it was terrible. then I had a pear and plum crumble, it was full of sliced oranges - why!! the custard was extremely thin, again not very nice at all. would not recommend eating here again.

Staff were exceptional - super friendly and welcoming. Room very cosy and comfortable. Gorgeous bathroom - we loved the decor, bath and products! Excellent breakfast. Nice to have fresh milk in the room. Great location for what we wanted to do.
I think we paid over the odds for the rooms/facilities. When I looked on the day the room was only £89 per night where as we had paid £311 for 2 nights. Room wasn’t big enough for a cot - a suggestion for a different room may have been better. Not too much noise coming from the pub but we were located on the stairs so could hear everyone coming up and down - the stairs were very noisy/creaky. Quite a lot of dust in the room and stairs in hallway didn’t appear clean.

Had dinner and breakfast here. The food is lovely. And the staff are friendly and helpful

Breakfast fine - location good.
Paid a premium for a room in the original historical stable bock given a bland modern room in a new block with an interesting odour.
Hotel did not refund the difference although bookin.com promised a £27 refund this never happened.
