The room was not why we were there but it was comfortable enough

No extra pillows, bed a little uncomfortable basic tea and coffee milk was not really replenished before we got to the room. Charged us for parking two cars next to their building, I was very surprised what hotel doesn’t have dedicated parking facilities??

Best accommodation in Launceston at a reasonable rate.

There is nothing NOT to like at the Grand Chancellor, Launceston!! I was amazed that Launceston had such a classy hotel! Super clean rooms, comfy beds, spacious bathroom, luggage trolleys, pick-up from front doors, nice restaurant with good dinners and buffet breakfast. Will definately be back 😊

Always good for us as a couple but won’t take a suite again will stay in normal room for comfort

Love the location and bed so very comfortable

Sofa and chairs in suite very uncomfortable, bathroom is old and in need of re grout as mould in between grouting looks grubby, a few room cleans were half finished and things were left on bed or not cleaned like cups or glasses and cleaning rags left in room

Satisfactory

Workshop was in hotel conference room, so able to stay at the hotel was great. Luncheon choice for the workshop was excellent. Staff at reception friendly and very helpful in correcting our car park error.

Shower curtain over bath. Could be updated to glass / Perspex panel

Location, availability

We needed accomodation for emergency hospital visit. Requested early checkin and front desk said they would call when room is available. They did not call and we were too late for hospital operation prep. When we did access room, fridge did not work. It was later fixed by attentive duty manager. Disappointed that at this room price drinking water was additional charge.

The spacious rooms , two TVs, a large bath, and a fabulous shower head . The room service was awesome ... thank you, we will be back! Complimentary tea , coffee, and water , thank you 😊

The tap in the bath should be at the end of the bath , hard to get in and out of the bath with tap in the middle... I think the entrance of the hotel should be a drop-off area for checking in . Which would be easier for travellers, maybe another entrance to the hotel for luggage 🧳

Great heater, comfortable beds. The meal we had down stairs in their restaurant was amazing. The breakfast was pretty good too. Parking only $6

Was ok, disappointed about the parking or lack of but it was pleasant enough. Still waiting for the $50 bond to clear in

the property was nice. comfortable beds and clean rooms

we got a parking permit which we paid for and wasn’t able to park in the car park as all the parks were taken, we ended up having to park on the street. Also need a better space for the mini bar and kettle instead of under the tv.

I asked for a late checkout which they was possible, so instead of 10, it was 11. at 1004 the phone rang I didn’t answer, then 1011 there was a knock on the door asking when I was checking out. not very impressed about that

Great stopover

The location is central. Stayed there for one night, close to the city, and easy access to the airport. Reception is open 24x7, which worked well for us, since our flight was arriving late at night.
