Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. We were there as participating in a local sporting event with an early start and staff came in early (6/630am on a Sunday) to provide breakfast.
Location - perfect for the start line for the event, closeness to coastal walk and centre of Holyhead
Had a large room on the ground floor - beds were comfortable and clean.

Bedrooms are comfortable and recently decorated so looking very fresh. The hotel is conveniently located for the ferry (under ten minutes by car) which was our reason for staying there. Reception staff friendly and helpfully
We went once to the restaurant and, although it wasn’t busy, waited 45 minutes for our meal. There was no explanation for the delay.

It was a lovely friendly hotel. Staff were so lovely
Shower was too hot, shower door was loose

Location was perfect for walking the costal route with dogs. Lovely water views of the harbour and the marina. Husband thought that breakfast was good value.
Hotel may be a work in progress. The en-suite was small but looked newly refurbished. No plug in sink. Clean.
The room was of a good size for three people. Curtains looked new. Decor was very tired, ugly 70s. Carpet gross. New kettle but tea making facilities dirty. Lovely view. Bed and pillows uncomfortable . Overall impression of room-grubby and tired.
Can’t comment on bar or restaurant area , didn’t go there.
Reception small and crowded with furniture. Bedroom doors belong in a factory. Hallway very narrow, carpeting garish.
3.5
Quaint, not modern but had very comfortable and relaxed environment. All the staff were wonderful. We loved the location in the sea front overlooking the marina
Nothing.

Breakfast was delicious, and the conservatory is so pleasant for a sunny start to the day while dining. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very welcoming to my dog. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the shower was powerful. Car park excellent and safe. Location perfect. Beach opposite the hotel, and a cove, both fantastic.
Hotel is conveniently located for the ferry. Such an ideal pet friendly place to spend the night after a ferry crossing. I stayed before, and I will definitely book again.

Considering it is rated as a 2 star hotel this place is a total gem. Really nice staff, good plain home cooking and a quiet comfortable room with a good bathroom, great water pressure, super white towels, and best of all no skimping on the milk with the complimentary teas and coffees in the bedroom . Only thing I would add is that the internet doesn’t reach all the rooms hence the 4 star rating
If you add some hubs to the system then I reckon you might upgrade to 3 star . My pooch slept happily in the room and was allowed to stay with us in the conservatory for dinner
Internet needs boosting

Lovely location by beach and very handy for catching a morning ferry. The staff were lovely. They were friendly and anxious to help. We witnessed a very confrontational guest who was treated with great calmness and civility- much more than he deserved! The menu was surprisingly varied and the food was lovely. The hotel has recently been taken over by new management who are working hard to turn it into a more up-market concern. It has lots of potential
There were a few little wrinkles that needed ironing out in our room, but nothing that really interfered with our stay and the management did all they could to resolve them

Staff were very nice, friendly . Close to the ferry. Nice view when in the restaurant.
Didn't realize that you have to climb narrow stairs with heavy suitcases to get to room.
No phone in room, so we couldn't call down for more pillows as they only provided one each. The room was extremely tiny, had nowhere to put suitcase. Bedding wasn't the best, had a rip in quilt at seam, the bed was really hard and mattress was thin. Huge cobweb in bathroom above head. It says no smoking but someone was smoking cannabis! Although not a fault of hotel! Can you believe at restaurant they were out of ketchup!

Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. They could not have been more accommodating or friendlier. Would certainly recommend

More choice at breakfast eg cereals yoghurts fresh fruit and clear labelling.

Location and Staff
3.5
The position was good with nice long promenade for a stroll, fairly flat,
Other walks just behind hotel didn't have time to explore
Staff where amazing and helpful with anything you needed.
The room was clean with coffee and tea facilities. Shower room large with fluffy white towels.
Has shower gel and hand wash.
Plenty of wardrobe and draw space
Just ask if required more milk etc.
Double bed was firm but other single bed soft. WE both slept well
It was an oldie worldy building with loads of space in bar etc.
Nice views sitting out the front and a nice secluded area outside, at the side of the building with a long conservatory where breakfast was served.
Breakfast was paid for separately on arrival and was enjoyable
Our evening meal was fine to.
Quiet area around the hotel.
Do keep in mind it is an older hotel and is in need of some refurbishment but it has character and is being referred at moment.
Would return for a visit as my 'What I didn't like ' would not stop another visit.
Once this is completed I'm sure I would give it a bigger star rating
But all in all we enjoyed our stay and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Thank you
Was not able to open an account to pay for things like meals and drinks as we went along.Had to pay upfront.
Our water pressure in shower was not good and although shower looked new shower head was poor as well.
Missing the little niceties ie a couple of biscuits in room, shower gel just sat on side of shower not wall mounted,
Bedroom carpet although fine and clean had seen better days.
Rooms not soundproof so can here people walking along the creaky floorboards, although not too much of a problem to us as we were up early anyway.. and not a noisy crowd in when we stayed.
When we stayed they were short of supplies ie ketchup and some cereal.
Just a little advice to help, is ask patrons who are having a meal if they require anything else when delivering there meal and if require white or brown toast in morning.
As I said before it's the little things that usually make the difference to a stay.

Great friendly staff
Great home cooked food - really good location.
I would def stay here again if visiting the local area - maybe bring the family
Nothing everything was great. Lovely friendly staff and a wonderfully cooked breakfast. No issues with payment or checking out. Good fun in the bar.

Location Was spot on - place needs an injection of cash, could be a really great place to both stay & eat!
The place place was soulless, rubbish in the car park, including someone’s socks! Rooms were ok, little dusty but you get what you pay . Fire door open until late at night, anyone could come in/out.
Ate in restaurant at night- food was lovely and plentiful ,although a few items were off the menu!
The restaurant needs to recognise their clientele

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice. Also Holyhead was actually a nice place to visit , we only stayed because we missed the boat to Ireland. The hotel through in free breakfast because book.com had charged so much more than there standard price
We booked last minute due to missing the boat but the room had dirty plates and the bathroom was tiny and smelly
3.5
It was only five minutes drive to the ferry
It was more like guesthouse as opposed to a hotel
3.5
Breakfast did not seem to be available when we checked out to catch 9.0 am ferry! Nobody was about.
Overall cleanliness and amenities. The hotel needs a makeover. Would not recommend it.

charming view and quite location at 10 minutes walking from the city center. nice and helpful staff
a few more room amenities like shampoo and bath soap would be appreciated

Great location for the ferry port, nice modern bathroom
Room was stale smelling and outdated. Tv was tiny and didn’t works and the Wi-Fi had very poor signal. The extra £15 charge for having a pet should have been stated on the booking.com listing as for over £90 in total. I would have chosen to stay somewhere more comfortable.
3.5
Nothing, bed dirty with stains in sheets. Rubbish in the bins. Room has a small oil heater so room very cold. Had to leave and go to another hotel.

Very friendly staff on arrival, we were checked in whilst we were eating our lunch. Great food, good value for money and great portion size
We were very happy with our stay

We went from the boat to the hotel, arriving at 1am to a prepared room - no hassles, ready for us to sleep.

Quick to get to the port.
Getting bitten over 30 times from something in the room.

would have been nice to have a breakfast menu to see what was on offer.

Ceri and the other staff were very kind and accommodating. The fish and chips in the restaurant were the best we ever had in our 4 weeks in the UK!! We had a lovely view room overlooking the harbor.
Far from the train/ferry terminal.
