De locatie was mooi, en heel rustig. Genoeg wandelingen in de buurt. Mooie kamer en badkamer. Hele aardige mensen en het ontbijt was top. We verbleven 2 nachten. We hebben super lekker gegeten bij de Ferry Inn in St Dogmaels. Echt top!
Het ontbrak ons aan niets

Beautifully designed. Gorgeous setting. Lovely rooms and such comfortable beds.
Nothing.

Lovely place and thoughtfully renovated . Very welcoming and friendly host. All food allergies catered for and our dog was very welcome.
Perfect location for finishing the coastal path walk!.
A rug in the room would have been nice to soften the space a little...

We had a fantastic stay, the breakfast was super.
We loved the paintings in the house.
Thank you to our hosts to create such a fantastic space.

The location was perfect for a quite night away short taxi ride into town if required. Lovely hill and greenery all around this location and small view of the sea
Nothing really

Lovely place with comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, welcoming host, lots of space and a beautiful aspect.
The lighting in the bedroom was a little low. Could do with a couple more table lamps maybe? Received a great number of emails in advance of our stay, from booking.com and other 3rd parties, which was a bit irritating.

The breakfast and tea/coffee facilities in the room were first class
Although this is a B & B it could easily turn into a boutique style hotel if they had a daily room service, making beds, towel changing etc. when people go away from home it is a luxury for many not to make beds themselves etc.

The owners were very welcoming

Amazing spacious room. Great breakfast. Lots of attention to detail. Huge bowl of porridge. 😋 Would highly recommend.

Fantastic secluded, peaceful location with a quaint village church and lovely views across the fields to the coastline at Cardigan. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, it was spotlessly clean and helpful items such as hairdryers, towels and tea and coffee were provided in the rooms. Breakfast was delicious with gluten free and the most modern "hipster" alternatives available as standard. We would absolutely stay again.

Attention to details, breakfast was lovely with local produce … bacon 😋 cooked exactly how I like it … lovely and warm, beautiful location but tricky to find if arriving in the dark.

Lovely find. We’ll be back

Breakfasts were lovely and exactly what was ordered. Room was comfortable and the view lovely. Grounds were very well kept. Nice lounge to sit in during a damp evening!
More drawers in the bedroom would have been useful for a several night stay. Lights in the bedroom were dim, no good for reading, sewing or knitting in damp evenings.

Lovely room, friendly staff, gorgeous place.
Like many others have said, pictures don't do justice. The building alone is gorgeous and so are the surroundings.
We walked to the near bay for about 20 mins and also drove to the Poppit sands beach and our dog loved it so much.
Very dog friendly.
The room is decorated very tastefully and the bed was large and comfortable. Would stay again.

Lovely large room with everything that was needed including fresh milk in a Thermos flask to have with our hot drinks. Great reception from the host, plenty of parking, and a lovely garden to sit in. Brilliant breakfast with lots of choice and very well cooked to order.
The only downside was the very long drive along a narrow lane to get to the property. Nothing that they can do about that!

Both Meg and Jaap were lovely and very accommodating. The accommodation itself was nice and modern with great presentation, incredibly comfortable rooms. Breakfast was a great addition and able to cater for my vegan partner with ease. Great location to head out to a local bay.
Everything was great, but there were a small number of things that needed a little TLC in the rooms such as some peeling wallpaper and broken tiles - but that's being incredibly picky.
4.7
EVERYTHING! The kindest people who went over and above, the most fabulous room and location you could ask for and the breakfast was out of this world. Two ginger cats playing in the garden was also a personal highlight! No detail missed, the place is stunning.
That I had to leave!!

Breakfast was really lovely, very good quality.
Surroundings and view were very picturesque and the whole atmosphere was very chilled.

We loved the look of the property online but nothing prepared us for what greeted us- the property and location are stunning. The setting is no less than perfect, close enough to restaurants and a variety of places to visit but far enough away for you to feel remote enough to really relax. Both Meg and Jaap are wonderful, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble - they go above and beyond and really are the perfect hosts. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. We’re already looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful trip!
Nothing! Everything was fab!!

Short break to see the sea! Bonus to be able to sit by the bedroom window and see it too! Lovely, quiet place to stay and recharge the batteries. Whole place, so peaceful a real treat, loved it so much rebooked before we left.
Narrow lanes surrounding property not for faint hearted, but expected so not complaining and very quiet.

The Old Vicarage is a very lovely and cozy place to stay over and explore Wales.
You wouldn't expect how comfortable and lovely the place is if you just pass by.
The rooms are nicely arranged and the breakfast is outstanding
You need a very good GPS to find the best way and you should follow the friendly advises to reserve in advance, if you want to have dinner in Newport.
4.7
The cleanliness. The friendly staff. The quality of the breakfast was amazing.
Would have liked a non-slip shower mat in the bathroom. Would also suggest that a small fridge /cooler be supplied to each room in order to allow guests' drinks and snacks to be kept cool.
4.7
Well decorated and generous room with a lovely open view over the garden towards the sea. Characterful property in a rural location yet reasonably close to Newport and Cardigan for restaurants and shops (10-15mins drive), attractive (and steep in places) 25-30min woodland walk down to the nearest beach. Large, mainly grassed, garden that was perfect for our dog. Welcoming, friendly hosts and a good breakfast (dog welcomed to come down to breakfast too which was nice).
Nothing!

The location wasn’t too far from cardigan and easy to navigate the country road.
Breakfast was catered for all tastes and was lovely. The exception was no alternative cereal choice, but nothing was too much trouble for Meg. Everything was laid out exceptionally nice on the table.
The sunset from the bedroom window with a sea view was very therapeutic.
Wasn’t any food available on arrival, even a sandwich would have been nice after a very long journey.
No takeaway food delivered in the area either. The Tapas hamper was available to order but found it too expensive.

The hosts, Meg and Jaap were extremely welcoming, friendly and passionate about their home. The rooms were beautiful, cosy and had had lovely views. Bed was a super king size, The breakfasts were delicious, different and very tasty.. The off road parking was a real bonus, as the house is situated on a very narrow road.
The only drawback was the location, which was somewhat isolated., with very narrow roads. There are no pubs or restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so a car is needed to get to the nearest town of Cardigan (about 3- 4 miles away)

The place is fantastic and a credit to Meg and Jaap, great location, attention to detail from the owners is superb

The weather was great.
The message of restrictions on cleaning the bedrooms because of Covid is a little confusing, because there is no hand sanitising or masks being worn by staff during the period we stayed. We spent the first hour killing spiders, and removing the webs that were in all the corners of the bedroom and even found one in the bathroom towel. The noise from the water system will wake you every morning at around 6.30am. Be prepared to make your bed everyday, clean the shower, and put outside your door the things you require replenishing for the next day. Just like a self catering really!!. The breakfast is limited so far as you have 3 options with no sign of marmalade if you like it on your toast.
The roads are VERY narrow and with limited passing places, it is a real challenge if you need to pass anyone coming in the opposite direction.

Two really nice and friendly young people made their dream come true. And it became their daily work - how cool is that? Renovating an old house which has been B&B before in highly skilled craftsmanship and adding two beautiful huts in the garden. Making the place beautiful since 8 years now. It's so lovely that I hesitated a bit to give away informations about such a special spot as secret tips don't remain secret once they're published. Meg and Jaap really care for their guests, breakfast was great, bed super comfy. I also liked the idea very much to exhibit local artists. The place is a bit remote, that also makes it's charm. Thank you, guys! I wish you all the best for your future.
To me, there was nothing to be improved. But I guess, if I come back there will be improvements. I just could not see the need for them yet. But to be honest, I also could not picture so many unique details in this Vicarage.
