Superb

The room was very comfortable, the pool was very nice, breakfast was very good and more than enough! Staff was super helpful and very friendly. The welcome wine was a very nice touch ;)

The poolside bed didn't have it's cover on like in the pictures. It would have been nice to lounge on it under a nice shade. Finally, I think it would be good to check on the elevator's suspension. Also you could see while opening the doors that it wouldn't reach the floor completely.

Hotel in good location with medieval touch

Location was fantastic. Walking distance into the town with several restaurants nearby. But breakfast choices was limited as the town is quite small. There was medieval touch everywhere in the hotel. From the bedroom to the common area to the breakfast area.

Parking cannot be reserved, it's subject to availability. Normally parking on the street is a feasible solution. We happened to come during the week of the medieval festival, so parking on the street was out of questions.

We loved everything about the property. PICK THIS HOTEL!

We loved everything about the property. As steps from the entrance to the wall, the theme of the hotel is spot on, staff was wonderful, the room was amazing, great breakfast, and the amenities were perfect. A free drink to welcome us! They even surprised us with a bottle of sparkling wine since it was my husband’s birthday! Loved this place and would come back in a heartbeat!

I wish I stayed there longer…

Everything was amazing - the staff was super helpful and accommodating, the hotel facilities were clean and uniquely designed, medieval theme; but all the amenities in the room were modern and in great condition. The choice of food for breakfast was really good - ham and cheeses, fruits, pastries, eggs and crepes… I probably would be able to enjoy variety even if I stayed for a week. We even had time to enjoy the hotel pool, which was also real nice

Amazing location

The terrace/pool has amazing views. The breakfast had so many choices. The location is so easy to access the wall entry. On-site, covered parking was helpful.

The keys- while are part of the historical ambiance- they are hard to work. I could hear others struggling in the hallway. They are also bulky to carry around.

Great setting and outdoor facilities - staff and service could greatly improve

Great pool, outdoor terrace and wonderful location and views

The staff were unfriendly and unwilling to help with simple things - booking a taxi, asking for more filtered water in the room, borrowing an iron (which they said they did not have one in the hotel which we felt was a bit surprising for a 4 star hotel). The breakfast room was not a nice experience - it has no natural light or air flow and the smell of the food sitting in the heated trays was unpleasant, the coffee was cold and stagnant in the pots. We paid extra for the breakfast on our booking but instead had to go out to breakfast

What an absolutely amazing property. The attention to detail is incredible.

Absolutely everything. The place is amazing, immaculate and staff are excellent. The rooms are big. The breakfast spread is unbelievable. WOW!!!

I am used to slightly taller beds but it in no way affected my stay.

great local with a medieval vibe

Great location and if your into medieval decor it is a good place for that. The room and bathroom were large and clean. The pool is nice.

There was a musty smell in the room -it IS an old building so… My partner didn’t notice. I guess I’m sensitive to smells…-

Very good

Breakfast was very good. Enjoyed the mimosas. Appreciated the welcome port. Liked the historical atmosphere.

The pool was open but we were told better not to use it as it had not been cleaned yet even though temperatures were high during our stay in Portugal Price of the rooms was too high.

A good relaxing choice for obidos

it’s all medieval all the time the staff even wear costumes but the 20th century amenities like the AC work just fine. located just outside the gates with secure garage parking a decent breakfast and a helpful staff relaxing on the terrace or the pool area is quite delightful with a wonderful view

The room keys are very large and very heavy and come in their own little bag. The doors are old and the locks are cranky.

We only stayed one night but it was a very good overnight stay to visit Obidos.

The Hotel was in a good location just outside the city wall and there was secure car parking available. The room was very comfortable although the bed was a little creaky. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices.

It was a magical stay in a magical town. Obidos was terrific and the hotel was too.

Totally unique experience. The room was spacious and comfortable and I really enjoyed the afternoon meet and greet with wine, staff and guests.

Great location. Beautiful view from our window. Lovely staff . Great Breakfast. So much to choose from. Decor medieval quite quirky.

Beautifully designed. Great location.

We had to order the breakfast items the night before - it was not clear. We woke up early in the morning, before breakfast in order to bike and they charged for the early coffee.

Great location, nice pool area

Breakfast served in a dark room with no windows. You have to pay extra to have coffee in the lounge with no drinks provided or coffee machine in the room. Which for a hotel such as this you would expect. When you pay €150/ night you don’t expect to have to pay €2 for a coffee.

A medieval dream

We really liked the whole hotel environment. From the entrance to the rooms the whole medieval vibe could be felt in the air. Even the personnel dressed like old medieval hosts makes it even more cool. The room looked like a real room for a knight in medieval time. The breakfast is amazing

Sometimes the wooden floor in our room was creeking a little bit when walking on it. This is due to the fact that probably it's an old building, but it's just small thing.

Wonderful stay in a Castle like romantic setting!

The location right outside the city wall was perfect. The old world castle architecture and decor were most charming. The cozy lobby seating area around the fireplace was warm and inviting. The intimate breakfast seating and generous assortment of wonderful cheeses, meats, fruits and breads exceeded expectations. Staff was extremely friendly, personable and helpful. Room was clean with comfortable bed and elicited a romantic charm.
