Clean comfortable, very pleasant staff , great location, good choice of food

location
plasterboard walls, squeaking floor above me from 6.50-11.30. staff casually swearing at all times. terrible pillows, no hot water in my room personal sink. smoking as allowed in a non smoking hotel! work going on all the time
very noisy,no chance at all off a lie in. would never return, avoid!

Nothing
I booked this stay last minute as an emergency. When I got to the hotel, I tried for approximately one hour to get hold of someone to get checked in. There was no one answering the reception bell. No signage other than a phone number, which upon calling close to 20 times, I still failed to receive a response from. Bitterly disappointed and feeling very vulnerable, I booked in to the Premier inn at Dorchester. Appalling customer service - and I NEVER complain

Good location
Rude staff
Check in is a joke
Parking even worse and no advance waring you have to pay to park and leave your keys with reception.
Holes in towels.
Dirty, grubby room.
Freezing cold no heating on

Nothing went well, poor cramped room
Breakfast did not start while 8am! Which for workers it too late, so they had to get breakfast at MD's adding extra cost! Room was pokey and cramped, not what was shown on their website.

Food was good. The spa staff excellent and lovely treatments. Plenty of nice local places to eat and have a drink, lively entertainment
Room small just enough space to open bathroom door without hitting bed, tatty furniture and no where to put suitcases, no water in Room to fill kettle, no shelf in shower to put toiletries,

Good location and old fashioned

Staff were friendly
Just a bit worn outdated
3.4
It was excellent in a pleasant dining area with lots of choice of food, which was well displayed & hot/cold food was appropriately in the correct storage area's
The plates for hot food were cold, so had to eat it quickly before it cooled.
3.4
The breakfast was fine you had what you won't
The toast could be better
3.4
Room was very spacious for a standard double plenty of drawers for putting clothes in. Food was great and we would go again or recommend it to others
Only negative there was meant to be evening entertainment but there wasn't any
3.4
The room was very clean.
The room was at the top of the building very hot, although they supplied a fan the window did not open very much.
3.4
Entertainment and the fact that the property is pet friendly. Check in and check out is smooth.
Didn't like the sound of the lift i can hear from my room as i was assigned a room right next to it which end up with sleepness night. Bed is sprung matteress and I can't get on with it as when my husband moves, it woke me. Carpet is very old and full of stain. As there is no hairdryer in my room, i have to request it from the housekeeper, promise to bring one to my room but hour later still nothing. Went to request from another housekeeper and was then told to request from reception. Went to reception to request, said they will bring to my room but after couple of hours....nothing! So I gave up.

Good location and helpful staff

The check in and staff
No hook to hang towel and no blind on the window in the bathroom only textured glass but I wanted the sash window open a bit for air.
3.4
Very welcoming and helpful staff.room with sea view.nice little bar to have a drink and relax at the end of the day.prices for food and drink good.room comfortable.a special thank you to the 2 staff behind the bar on 22/6/24 who took the time to come and sit and have a chat with us at the end of there-shift.i think there names were Chloe and Jess but I can’t fully remember .a real credit to the hotel.we would stay here again if in the area.
Parking is a bit of a nightmare.limited spaces at the hotel.some spaces out front for disabled but these were coned off for an event in the town on the day we were there.however, the hotel provided a 24 hour pass for the council car park which is about a 7 minute walk away which I didn’t mind but others may be bothered about and all the hotels along the seafront have the same problem so wouldn’t stop me staying again.
3.4
Right by the beach
And has large rooms that can accommodate seven people
I really like the rooms my only criticism would be better pillows/mattresses
3.4
Fresh fruit when it was there for breakfast. Good shower.
Room was not cleaned daily if not requested. Guests had to take their own rubbish downstairs, and take towels down to change them and wait a long time before they were changed. Bedding was not changed all week. Cooked breakfast was never hot from the buffet, Coffee machine constantly jammed at breakfast. The window to the bedroom could not be left open during hot weather as we had a shared balcony and other guests could have accessed our room.

Good value

The location
The room was dark, had a tiny window which was high up and a very strong smell of cats wee. Had to put the fan on all night. Room 102.
3.4
It was booked last minute and I would have chosen a different hotel
The car park is a joke. Far to many cars and the staff have to have your car keys to move your car if you block people in. Communication wasn’t great, the hotel wasn’t clean, the shower was so weak wasn’t worth having a shower. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable they did try and help but a metal bar in the middle made it very uncomfortable to sleep on !
3.4
Perfect location to the beach and town city
We didn't expect like a modern hotel or luxury and been advised with info about the hotel so to us, the hotel was good already
3.4
The staff were exceptionally good very kind and polite. I could see how much pressure they were under and still did their best to ensure all the possible questions were answered.
The rooms were tiny and the bathroom was like a small box.
The sofa bed was very firm and gave me a back ache.
The hot water wasn't there as we were located on the 3rd floor. We were told that since it was 3rd floor the pressure doesn't come well there however, for the amount you pay this is not good at all as you need a nice shower after a day long at the beach.

Breakfast
Too expensive for the room not very clean large stain on the carpet in the room
3.4
Great location, really good food breakfast/dinner in the restaurant and staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Sea view room was lovely and modern.
Room was a little hot due to the warm weather, possibly more fans should be available at reception or provided in the room.
3.4
Seafront location town in walking distance 15 mins
The Photos advertising this hotel at the front show a large main entrance doorway this is not this hotel. Jubilee hotel is the Very right-hand building small doorway I found this marketing very deceiving. .

Get staff, the bar area very good for families with children
Enjoyed the hotel
The hot tub wasn't working

Lovely spacious room with beautiful high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The bed was very comfy and roomy. Very useful to have a hairdryer attached to the wall by the mirror. Breakfast was great quality and plentiful. The hotel itself is on the quieter end of the Esplanade which was nice as we were able to escape the crowds. While we ended up having a quieter night, it was also good to know there were activities like bingo going on in the bar and restaurant if we fancied them.
Very creaky doors and floors in rooms. Could be some more variety for breakfast. We were in a ground floor room and it felt very overlooked from the street, perhaps some frosting/reflective film on the bottom of the windows would be good. The parking situation is a bit chaotic and inconvenient. We were only staying for one night and were assured our car would be accessible and ready to leave when we checked out but it ended up reminiscent of a children's puzzle game trying to manoeuvre all the cars that had been parked blocking in ours as they park the cars 2 or 3 bumper to boot to save space and ours was in the far corner from the exit. We did feel sorry for the staff member in charge of deciding how best to get the cars out that were leaving.

We liked everything that was outside the hotel
The photos with the room of 4 people from the site it's a scam, we paid £400 for 2 nights we get a very bad smelly stinky dirty room we asked especially 2 single beds for our children as they cannot sleep in bunk beds and we get a claustrophobic bunk bed very dirty with a very bad smell, we couldn't have a rest any of the nights as we need3d to put the children to sleep with us in the double bed and as the doors and walls very old the people's from other rooms were fighting and you could hear them, of course we didn't have soap or other facilities. We couldn't go as we had a holiday planned for our children but we stayed outside most of the time.
3.4
The room was spacious, the view was lovely. Friendly staff and very welcoming.
The lift was on the small side and we had to take several trips up and down with our pushchair but we managed.
3.4
The property is near the front beach
The room is very small, filthy and very noisy and zero standards for hotel
3.4
Lovely family room, clean comfy. Staff lovely x
Lift out if order but wasn't told until wed payed. We were on 2nd floor. We had big cases too.
But we were just glad of a night to stay as weather too bad to put tent up.

Great location. The Bar was lovely and had lots of games to play, pool table. We didn't eat there but we did hear a table sat by us saying how nice their meal was. Staff very friendly and warming. Lovely cocktails. Right across from the beach which was lovely to walk to on the morning with the dog.
Security in the amnex room wasn't the best and if I was travelling as a lone female would rather stay inside the hotel. The room I originally booked was in the hotel but the room was alot smaller than I was expecting so got upgraded to a much bigger room which I was much happier with, just the security side of things weren't great ie the lock on the door wasn't secure.
