Stay away from this horrible place

Third world country conditions. I was put in less than 20m square room with my wife and daughter were unless another person moved out of way or jumped on 1970s bed we couldn’t move around. The room had unpleasant smells and sewage smells through the window which attracted insects and resulted in dozens of mosquito bites, over 20 bites on my 6 year old daughter- she didn’t get any sleep at all. No air conditioning and bathroom ventilation didn’t work, we couldn’t breathe. I went to the receptionist around midnight but he didn’t care at all and offered no alternatives. I ended up sleeping in my car leaving my daughter and wife crying unable to sleep. Since I made multiple phone calls and wrote a formal complaint. I haven’t heard back, my request to speak to manager were ignored. We are still recovering from what happened to us

Excellent functional hotel with great staff

Good hotel that evokes past times but has all that a 21st traveller requires. Friendly helpful staff - which can sometimes be hard to find in France!Have stayed here several times. Excellent location& welcoming to cyclists

I was looking for a low price and I was expecting to get a lower standard so I wasnt suprised.

Good Location in a quiet street. Not so easy access as the sat nav sends you the wrong way. Nice staff and easy and quick check in and out.

The rooms are visibly used and should be renovated. Our room was on the ground floor with a huge window directly towards the street so either you close the curtains or everybody passing by can look straight into the room.

Very helpful staff, breakfast room large and bright, practical location just around the corner from the train station.

We stayed on two separate occasions in July for one night each time and the Canal + channels were not available on either occasion.

Great stop over before the ferry.

Location was perfect for the ferry the next day and a walk down to the beach. Easy free parking with an option to pay more for garaged parking. Excellent family room/suite for us all and our dog. Nice staff.

WiFi was poor in the bedroom. Breakfast was very average. Some noise from the train.

a basic but comfortable hotel. we only needed one night stop over so it was fine. friendly staff.

comfortable bed, close the shops, cafes, bars and bus station. lovely little bar downstairs.

horrible powdered milk in the room that curdled when used. only 2 sachets of coffee and 2 tea bags with paper cups and wooden stirrers.

We'll avoid this hotel in future - very depressing.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but tired.

The whole hotel is tired. The ambience is gloomy and almost threatening. The water pressure for the showers was insufficient depending on who was also using the supply. We had to pay before we saw the room or experienced anything. The room was poorly heated and we had no control - one old radiator. The coffee/tea offering was awful, two sachets , powdered milk, paper cups, and stirring sticks. Lighting also poor.

Good location in Calais. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean. Overall it was OK. Nothing impressive. Staff was helpful and nice. Made us feel welcome.

The hotel needs a bit of renovation. It feels a bit old. There is also a bit of need of ventilation.

Very good

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good, with an offer of fresh cooked eggs. The cleaning standard is high. The bathroom is well stocked, with a hairdryer too (often absent in accommodation)

We got a great nights sleep on a very large comfortable bed, large room with tea and coffee making facilities, a lovely old 1920,s building with great features and bar, the receptionist was very welcoming and pleasant, only a few minutes from Calais ferry port, a gem of a place.

Couldn't stay longer.

Friendly hotel, good position, bathroom design failure.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old fashion bar. Has got a garage. Good position.In walking distance to restaurants.

Even the bathroom was in a good size, the toilet was placed in a tiny corner and this makes it very difficult to use. Only French TV stations.
