The hotel is in a perfect position. Not far from the railway station, the beach and the centre of town. There are many restaurants close to the hotel. The area was quiet.
The hotel is under restoration, this was no problem at all but the floor boards need to be fixed as they are very noisy and squeaked.
4.1
Close to the city centre, easy to find, Benoit was very kind to text me about how to get it and facility rules.
4.1
Really nice beds and bedlinnen
Squeaky flooring
4.1
It has spacious rooms (I've stayed before) and is very conveniently located.
Doesn't really apply.
4.1
The room is very close to the train station and to the town core. The old clawfoot bathtub was cool. The bed was great and the wifi worked. I stayed there during a renovation, so I don't know what the environs will look like, but the room and location were good. I was there for an early ferry, and the proprietor let me know that the bus to the ferry, a few steps away, was free. An added bonus.
No downside.
4.1
No breakfast taken.. Lot of stairs to climb but owner very helpful.
The shower needs a door or a curtain otherwise there's a lot of water on the floor of the bathroom.
4.1
fresh, clean, functional, quiet, well located
4.1
Free street parking, excellent location 5minutes from car ferry
Pleasant host, clean room, quiet environment
Tea and kettle facilities.
In the centre of a nice little town with a pretty park immigration opposite.
Good value
No form of soap or shampoo available just a notice to say it was eco friendly which didn't wash our hands and face!
The roll top bath was beautiful but difficult to get in and out as it was high and no anti slip mat or holder for the shower head so you would have needed to hold it whilst using.
No towel ring or rails present except one on the back of the door.
Didn't notice any evidence of fire alarm/ smoke detectors?
Room door poor fit, rattled in the wind.
Hotel undergoing renovation.
No coffee or milk available.
A tad minimalist style
No lift so four flights of wooden stairs to our room to carry luggage
4.1
Great location. Close to restaurants. Quiet. Safe parking. Lovely host. Excellent English. Very clean with large bathroom and bath. Good sized room with tea and coffee facilities
Stairs are steep but I am unfit. In the middle of renovating stairs but still very clean.
4.1
close to the centre, clean and warm room
no lift
4.1
Beds were comfortable.
aware they were doing renovations but the wooden floors were very noisy. having no lift was a big issue
4.1
The renovation work.
The huge bath . If you are elderly, disabled, or a bit shakey on your pins it is very difficult to climb in and clamber over the bath edge
Rather install walk in showers
Also bedside lighting should be soft and directed to that side of the bed so one person can sleep and the other read

Benoit was welcoming and gave us all the information we needed for our stay.Room was well appointed and clear.
Nothing
4.1
Very clean and comfortable, though fairly basic hotel just a few minutes walk from the train station. Quiet location and comfortable bed, we slept really well. Benoit is a lovely welcoming owner and even rescued us from the port when there were no taxis, incredibly kind! Excellent value for money.
4.1
Comfortable beds, Parking very secure (although a little tight). Benoit, the owner went out of his way to accommodate us. The hotel is opposite a park so a bit quieter than others in the same price bracket.
4.1
The host was exceptional helpful and looked after everything
4.1
very friendly greeting, offering advice on things to do
4.1
Location just off the main street
Corridors and stairs in course of refurbishment. No staff present on Sunday.
4.1
The rooms are cozy, clean, and the beds comfortable.
The late check-in procedure was really easy and straightforward.
The hotel is located in front of a park, which makes the view from the balcony really nice.
We were allowed to store our bicycles in a safe place inside.
Definitely recommend!
4.1
Great location and we will come back in the future. We were on our way back to the UK and the secure parking was essential. The bed was the most comfortable ever…the room was very quiet…Benoît was very helpful. Excellent experience all around.
4.1
Benoit at reception was very helpful. The location was perfect for foot passengers to the ferry as the free bus was only a block away. TV reception was good. Wifi was password protected. The room had a outside deck.
I thought it had a lift but that was my misreading.
4.1
Extremely clean ,very quiet situation and central ,right on the spot for eating out,a beautiful parg in front of hotel.Nearby many places to eat and have breakfast.
Benoir the host was unbelievably helpful
It has a little sitting room with a fridge on the same floor
It was underrenovation so a bit rough at the edges
4.1
It was quirky , nice.
Everything was fine
4.1
Perfect hotel for an overnight stay before taking the ferry to Dover: delightful owner; perfect location; very comfortable room; excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.
4.1
Very nice and helpful host. Great suggestions for trips. Great location. Eco-conscious choices. Park just outside the window.
Noises from the street and from other rooms (alarm clocks etc.) were very well heard in my room. No shower curtain in the bathroom. Curtains in the windows would be nice and perhaps new carpeting.
4.1
it’s very reasonably priced for a stopover on the way home when you need to book two rooms
the basics are a bit too basic. only one pillow per person, no spares. no toiletries in the shower room, some shower gel or soap for the hand basin would’ve been helpful. tea and coffee supplied but no milk, not even the uht capsules. very basic instructions on where to find boulangeries, just ‘very nearby’. a few more directions would’ve been helpful.
4.1
Room was very spacious and just what I needed. Secure parking was great. Just round the corner for restaurants and other amenities. Close to the port and the Eurotunnel
