Zweckmäßige Unterkunft direkt am Bahnhof Calais Ville

Das Hotel liegt genau gegenüber dem Bahnhof Calais Ville und nah zum Stadtzentrum. Das Busnetz ist kostenfrei in Calais sowie den Nachbarorten und neben dem Bahnhof befindet sich auch der Busbahnhof. Die Zimmer sind einfach, wie auch das gesamte Hotel. Das Personal ist freundlich. Die Zimmer sind zwar klein aber zweckmäßig und man hat unten ein Doppelbett und oben ein Einzelbett. Zwei Dreierzimmer konnten wir zu einem 6er-Appartement zusammenschließen. Das war familiär.

Außerhalb der Checkin-Zeiten ist das Hotel telefonisch nicht erreichbar und es gibt keine Möglichkeit, das Gepäck schon mal unterzustellen. Erst um 17 Uhr kann man einckecken oder muss schon um 12 Uhr da sein. Die Hotellobby ist schon recht einfach gehalten und riecht feucht; die Zimmer sind dann aber in Ordnung.

Excellent convenience and value for a stop off from the ferry before onward travel by train.

Excellent value and location. We were ferry foot passengers and the port bus took us directly there because it is directly opposite the station. We had a short walk to find somewhere nice to eat in the evening. Perfect for an early start by train to Paris the following day.

Budget hotel but still great value.

L’amabilité du gérant.

L’état des chambres avec des moisissures y compris dans les salles de bains et au plafond des trous dans les murs, le radiateur qui tient avec une vis, le chambranle de la porte qui tient on ne sait comment . L’odeur insoutenable dans les chambres et les trous dans les couvre lits venaient en plus. Ceci dit, il suffisait de voir l’extérieur pour imaginer l’intérieur: le jardinier a dû se suicider il y a déjà bien longtemps…

J'ai tellement était mal à l'aise que je n'ai pas dormir de la nuit

Petit déjeuné ok mais avec des stick de sucre tellement humide que le sucre était tout dur, par contre la seule chose que nous avons apprécié c'est l'amabilité du réceptionniste

L'abattant des toilettes écaillé, le dessus de lit troué par des cigarettes,les boiseries foutues, l'odeur d'humidité partout, infiltration d'eau certainement par les fenêtres délabrées qu'à tel point que le matin au réveil on eu les pieds dans des nappes d'eau jusqu'au pieds du lit et sur le côté du lit, ,disfonctionnement d'ouvertures des portes, etc , bâtiment fissuré de partout, horrible , excusez moi mais pour moi bâtiment à raser.....

convenience in location to the Calais airport

the building is old looking. rooms are very small. shower drained extremely slow and you stood in water. the vibe of the hotel did not give off a safe environment

A little disappointing, did the job (just)

Near to the shuttle however I have stayed in Coquelles before and prefer it there. It was very basic and just about clean. The breakfast was good for the money, basic but plentiful and nice coffee served from 6.30am week days which was great for our early start. Good secure parking for motorbikes, lockable gate. Staff were friendly and Wifi was good.

We had no loo roll had to ask, the shower didn't work as the holder for the shower head was broken. It was rather noisy, coach full of school kids and loud guests. The beds were rather hard but did manage to get a good nights sleep which is important when riding. Just outside the hotel there was a green where sadly the homeless slept, it was not the best area. It looked a bit like a prison block.

Trash hotel. Don't waste your money.

The administration of the hotel do not read or answer the customer's messages. Nobody in the hotel will help you from 12.00 till 17.00 and from 21.00 till 6.30. Everything is closed in the hotel and nobody from the staff is available. If you arrive at that hours you will not be able to get your room. After that they take money from your bank card and will not return in any case. I've been to this hotel once in winter and saw how dirty it is, smell is strong and some windows in the hotel are broken.

Not up to your standard. It's possible the room was being refurbished as it needs attention.

The only thing to say was, the bedding was clean.

Broken window lock. Wall lamp was loose. Electricity socket also loose. The skirting board was non existence in the bedroom and the bathroom. Dirty grouting. Paper above the bunk bed was hanging off the wall. Room 20.

We had multiple issues with the room. Room smelt of cigarette smoke, there were cigarette burns, open electrics, rotten skirting boards, nicotine on the heater, the shower rail was hanging off the ceiling. My biggest concern was the entrance door to our room as this was so stiff you had to put your full wait on it to open it and to shut it, which is a hazard, I have reduced mobility and use a wheelchair so this was completely unsuitable, luckily was travelling with my hubby who could open and shut the door but he still had to put his full weight against it.

Friendly multi lingual staff. Clean room. Lounge available. Good buffet breakfast. Affordable price. Freshly Redecorated with new carpets on stairs, landing and hallways.

An exit direct onto the street (They exist but are not in use) would save a walk round the block when going into town, but this really is a minor point.

Very Basic, but did the job for 10 hours sleep as part of our journey.

Good location. Easy parking. Close to the Eurotunnel. This is a basic hotel, you get what you paid for. it did the job, but its not glamerous.

OK on balance but stale smell of cigarette smoke is an issue

Convenient location near Calais ferry port to stay after late crossing from Dover. No frill cheap beds for the night to crash in from 11pm to 6.30am. Secure car park with no height restriction for roof box.

Absolutely stunk of stale cigarette smoke in lobby, hall and the three room we had. Towels in the bathroom smelt of cigarette smoke. Despite the convenience of being near the ferry port and cheap price I would think twice about booking here again if there were other options, even outside of Calais for a bit more money. to their credit though when I was booked here in December and was a no show as I got an earlier ferry they refunded me in full without me even asking as I expected to forfeit the booking cost.

The rooms are really small and dirty, even for a transit hotel. For late check-ins they have installed a key vending machine which charges your credit card and is supposed to give you the keys, however the system is glitchy and for what I found out it rarely works for anyone.
