Café da manhã muito bom!
Poderiam avisar sobre detalhes da acomodação, como, por exemplo, que existia um buffet disponível no jantar!

The room is clean. The cleaner did her job really well.
The air conditioner is taking quite some time to cool down .

The location was great and very central. everything was close to the shopping district and to bars at nigth as well as great restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was our favourite part. It's a continental breakfast but also has some greek touches like loukoumades or manouri cheese. Pretty city view from the rooftop
The hotel rooms and floors are very dated. Looks old and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Our hotel bathroom was dirty (toilet and bathrub werent properly cleaned). The hallway carpet is old. There isn't great noise insulation from the corridor room doors. The pool was a point of sale for me but after visiting the roof top it is super small and sad looking. The chairs could be updated too. The rooftop is huge and the pool could have been bigger.

Breakfast was better than expected. The location was excellent and close to the centre and restaurants. The room was a good size and the balcony was a bonus.
Everything was satisfactory.

Hair on furniture and floor. Not vacuumed or mopped properly. Bathroom floor dirty. Shower hose not serviceable. Kept swinging down. Had to hand hold the shower.

I have reflected on my recent stay at the Capsis Astoria Heraklion and wish to complain about the hotel for several reasons.
Firstly, upon arrival in the evening there were renovation works being undertaken in the reception area. Whilst I understand that these works often happen at night, all of the reception area was covered in dust sheets and emitting a strong chemical odour owing to the redecorating. During the check-in process my passport was placed onto the unclean counter and was subsequently damaged. It looks as though there may have been a paint stripper contaminant on the surface as my passport is now rough and slightly faded. Additionally, I was made extremely uncomfortable by the receptionists comments when checking in. We are a same sex couple and to be greeted by an ‘off look’ and statement of “oh, are you in the same room” given that we arrived together and were the only two guests in the lobby, this was not appreciated.
When entering the room and after a relatively long journey, I was looking forward to relaxing in bed and getting a good night sleep. Unfortunately, there was hair in the bed. These short, thick and black hairs were there prior to me pulling the covers back. I raised this with reception on two occasions, however nothing was done about this. I instead had to resort to cleaning these myself.
The following morning, I wished to start the day by having what was described as a free and delicious breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast which should have served both hot and cold food was not hot at all. Sausage, eggs, hash browns and bacon were stone cold. I thought I would try the breakfast again and the service and quality remained the same. I also observed other guests refilling their water bottles at the dispenser, and felt genuinely uncomfortable when I did the same and appeared to be the only guest challenged - for covid reasons.

Nice hotel but it would be a 10 if the pool would have been open all year around.
The area is noisy, but fascinating. The breakfast was great.
The pool unfortunately was closed.

Location was amazing, in the centre of Heraklion, staff good, food good!
Bedroom clean but a little dated in parts. No real complaints!

Excellent location! Highly recommend and I will be back! This place has very easy access to heart of downtown. I walked around for souvenir shopping, restaurant, grocery stores (AB Supermarket is 05 min walk!) Venetian pier, and to the Archeology museum. I took public bus from airport (1.10 Euro one way and runs every 15-20 min for about 15-30 min ride, Sept 2022 time) and to Palace of Knossos (1.50 Euro one way and bus stop right front of the hotel! ). Breakfast was delicious and great selections. Top deck pool was very nice, but I enjoy walking around town more, so did not spend much at this beautiful pool. Hotel had mini refrigerator which was great! Hair dryer and safe I can place my laptop was great help. AC worked very well! Hotel team were very friendly and helpful. Love to come back! Great location, comfortable, clean and excellent value.
i cannot think of any. Thank you very much for great hospitality! I would love to stay with you again.

Localization is central
View and nice staff on the rooftop
Food was good on the rooftop (salads)
The hotel is old and not well maintained.
The room was the same, old, not really clean and the bed was not confortable.
The food of the breakfast was ok but it’s really noisy and same, look like the furnitures is very old.
The check in reception was not friendly, which is really rare in Crete (from my experience).
The rooftop is big, which is nice, but we have been disappointed concerning the swimming pool which is really small.
In conclusion: I would not recommend this hotel, except for the location. It is not worth the price.

Great location in the heart of Heraklion. Friendly staff at the bar and reception, one lady on the reception even printed a bus schedule for us when I asked her about the bus departures to Rethymno. The view from rooftop pool bar is amazing! Great value for money. I will be back next year for at least 7 nights
Air condition and the fridge were a bit noisy. We were sleeping with windows closed because of the music coming from pool bar during the night
