Very beautiful and old, we stayed in the traditional suite and thought it was lovely. The staff were very nice.
One staff member was very pushy saying that the Medina is unsafe and you require a guide. We have been in Morocco awhile so are quite aware of street scams and read other visitors reviews of this tour so we said we were happy not to go on the tour. He continued to tell us it would be unsafe to go alone. However we did not feel unsafe walking the Medina alone - as long as you ignore the unsolicited advice of the young people/strangers on the street it is fine.
It’s not a complaint but I think there was a mistake with the listing saying there is tea and coffee, tv etc in the traditional suite which there is not - we did however have a fridge which was nice. It wasn’t an issue for us and I suspect it’s an error with the listing however maybe this should be changed.

The people in the Riad made us feel like in a family. Hassan and azefine and Asmara have been amazing supporting us in any needs. In this way we felt comfortable in a magic city.
It would like more lights but this depends on the current renovation of the roof

Tevens supervriendelijk personeel.

The Riad was very nice and the service was great. Hospitality was the norm. Ashaa and Hassam were very helfpfull. We left 1 hour before breakfast time and they served a nice whole breakfast anyway with warm food and coffee.
A guide is mandatory for visiting the Medina. It is dangerous to go on your own.
We booked a guide through the hotel (Abdul) and the experience was not what we expected. He was initially nice and charming but after the 1st hour the tour became a tourist attraction from shop to shop where they try to scam you. And then after 2.5h he made us stop at a Riad for lunch. We told him we just wanted to have something to drink and keep with the tour. He forced us to order food, which was absolutely overpriced for Fes, and he spent over 1.5h eating and watching sports. We ended up paying for our food and an overrated tip and he didn't pay, so we suspect his food was included in our bill.
He then took us to the riad and charged a full day tour instead of a 3h tour, even though we insisted that the tour length had been 2.5h.
In conclusion, book a guide on your own with a fixed price and without stops for food.

This is a beautiful old authentic Riad very close to the center!

You feel like a prins or princess here!
Very big rooms!!
Of course it is an old building! You can see! But that is very charming!! An unique experience for us!!

4.5
The staff very very friendly and ready to help (from bringing luggages in to helping with parking to giving tips and recommendations). We got a room upgrade to a very nice one, very spacious and cool.
Location is pretty central and facilities pretty good. Hammam available w extra fees.
Even if the staff cleaned the room every day, the overall cleanliness is not the strong suite of this place, and during our last night we had a cockroach visit us, which wasn't a pleasant encounter...

Bon riad, suite très spacieuse. Bon emplacement.
3.5
The room and bathroom were very big. The bed was very comfortable.
The towels were super old and used, the hair dryer didn’t worked, the shower didn’t worked and the bath tub had some holes in it… The liquid soap was the cheapest one from the supermarket, I didn’t expected that in a 4 stars hotel. The service was not the best, it felt like we were bothering even though we were just requesting what was missing from the room (towels and functional hair dryer)

A great experience! Here we met good people, tasty food, beautiful and clean riad. I highly recommend stopping by for a night or two. Thank you very much for everything, especially to Boutania.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is a 10-minute walk from the Blue Gate. The parking is very convenient. When you check in, the boss gave you mint tea
The century-old building has a very distinctive riad, the rooms are large, and the interior decoration has a traditional aristocratic style.
The breakfast is great, coffee, juice, milk, different flavors of bread every day, with a variety of jams, cheese. Breakfast in the hotel lobby is a treat.
The price is reasonable, we booked for one day first, and stayed for another day later, it is worth recommending.
something need repair ,towels is old ,better chang new one

The entrance is majestic.
They gave us a room in the terrace and the bathroom was smelling terrible. I asked to change rooms and they gave us another one. The shower was terrible, no hot water.

staff was the highlight, very friendly and indoor decor is truly beautiful, great location (outside of the Medina) but still walking distance to everything
terrace could be spruced up a bit to make it truly a perfect location

The hotel is wonderful. I liked absolutely everything: responsive and friendly hosts, beautiful spacious clean rooms. I felt like I was in an Arabian fairy tale. I am very glad that I stayed at this hotel. Loved the wood carvings in the main hall and room.

The room was incredible. The interior design is magnificent and beautifully historical. The location is in the city center. Staying in this place makes you feel like royalty.
At night I was told the tea was caffeine free, but it wasn't, however it was very delicious.

That I stayed only 2 nights and left from this disaster
- Even though the Riad description says that there is free parking offered, in reality this was on a very narrow nearby street, controlled by a guy with a yellow vest who, according to the Riad personnel, is supposed to be there 24/7 to protect your car and control the traffic, at a price. Finally, our car got scratched and neither the hotel nor the street guy took any responsibility.
- The Riad is a nice historical building, but it’s in a very bad condition not well maintained (cracks on walls, old furniture in unstable condition/broken legs), naked cables hidden by a wooden panel, water running in toilet, shower not working properly

This place was amazing! Gorgeous hotel with clean facilities and wonderful staff. I would definitely book again and recommend this place to everybody! (The breakfast was exceptional as well.)
