The location and the room was great. Some really great staff
Had an unpleasant experience with the Duty manager upon checkin and that left a bad taste. The food was average

Staff were very friendly but comparatively did not match the pricing compared to other holiday destinations
Very much tourist pricing

Being at the Adults only end. We requested a bed to be made up and the room was a great size for us both to have ample space to relax in. Breakfast was fantastic and would always suggest having this as part of the package as there was an option for everyone.
The deck at the adults only pool is being refurbished which meant a little bit of noise but for the most part it was kept to a minimum.

This is a beautiful resort; with comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff are friendly and professional. There are activities happening at the central pool area every hour or two, lamp lighting every night at 6pm, singers at the restaurants each night, and more. So plenty of entertainment if you want it. There are also plenty of quieter areas to relax, lounge in your room, on the grass, or by the pools, and a feeling of space. The garden path is lovely, the views to the ocean spectacular. Our room had a private dunking pool, and looked out over the ocean. It was very nice. The staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming, and calm. Restaurants were very good (noting all are expensive, but we just decided to accept that, and to enjoy the meals and 5 star resort). We visited the other resorts on Denarau island one day via the hop on-hop off Bula Bus, and we were definitely glad we had picked the Hilton as a family with older teens who like more quiet/space. The resort is close to the Marina ($10 taxi; 20 minute walk) which also has nice restaurants, a beautiful view, and access to boat trips if you want them. We stayed for five days, which was long enough to feel relaxed and that we'd had a good 'do not very much resort holiday', but also long enough to feel we were ready to go home.
We did have some challenges with our accommodation on check-in - first we were told that although my booking said 'includes breakfast' this was only for me, and not my two teens and I'd have to pay for their breakfasts. This was upsetting as it would have been very expensive and it was not what I had booked. Our room was also not ready for three people. However, the room was fixed immediately when I told them; and I saw the manager on the first morning and he confirmed that the 'includes breakfast' was for everyone. We were very grateful at how quickly and no fuss the issue was fixed. It meant the difference between a good holiday and a bad one for us. NB. There was a 3% charge for using Mastercard on paying the room bill, when Booking.com said no charges. There is also a 'cashless system' where you have to put an amount on hold, and all things are billed back to your room - but this actually worked well.
(Note beware of the booth at the Marina that sells 'discount tickets' for boat trips on the proviso that you agree to going to a talk at the neighbouring Wyndham Hotel. We were told the Wyndham was new and the promotion involved a tour and a 20 minute video to show us around and in exchange we would get a great deal on a day trip to the islands. We instead found ourselves in an overwhelming hard sell sales situation (including group singing; a very loud sales room where we watch the sales video; and individual sales people assigned to each party trying to make people buy into a time-share deal which people apparently can't get out of). It was overwhelming. The discount ticket prices can be found cheaper online, or at other sales points. I must stress, this had nothing to do with the Hilton. In fact, when we found ourselves in this situation, it reinforced just how wonderful the Hilton is! We were so glad to leave the Wyndham and go back to our lovely peaceful resort!)

Had a special dinner at the Navo Restaurant and the meal was very average. The main I ordered was $85 Fijian dollars for very dry steak which was just so disappointing. Would not return!
Fact that advised we cancelled our reservation 72 hours before due to arrive (we had not), barely a sorry. Room serviced 4pm in the day is too late. Very expensive for what you actually get. This hotel has poor systems, your order of tea doesn't arrive at breakfast, the cart doesn't arrive when you are leaving to take your luggage and they phone to ask why still in the room. Seem mostly interested in charging you and not much else. Staff asking for references and feedback constantly is a real drag when you are just trying to relax. They seem scared of their own management.

The room itself was nice. I liked the king size bed, the size of the room was sufficient for myself and my family, the kitchenette had all the essentials and the bathroom was quite nice (probably my favourite feature). They gave you some bottles of water each day when they cleaned your room and I thought that was good so you didn’t have to pay for water. The buffet breakfast had lots of options. The pool area was nice and clean and not too busy so we were always able to get a pool chair.
I travelled with my 9month old baby and my parents (in their 70’s) and we were put in a room that was 1km from the lobby, pool and restaurants. They do have a free bus that drives up and down however it wasn’t always there when we needed it so most days we would end up walking which was super annoying and wasted time walking up and down.
I felt everything at the resort was expensive. Every meal, drink, ice cream was way over priced. The quality of food wasn’t the best either so it wasn’t like you were paying top dollar for amazing food. It was top dollar for average food.
I felt there was no vibe at the resort. We had gone to a few of the other resorts to check them out and the Hilton had a board of activities but if you spent the day by the pool you couldn’t tell they were being run. At some of the other resorts they had stuff happening all day and it was a better vibe.

Nicely located hotel right on the beach in Denarau. Amazing sunsets from the beach. Beach bar in adult only area and at nuku had a great happy hour around sunset.
Friendly staff.
Easy check in.
Nice food in the evenings in the resort restaurants.
Room felt dated and smelt quite damp.
Bathroom shower is straight onto floor and leaked into the toilet making the whole bathroom floor all wet.
Breakfast was not great, small selection of fruit (which we were really looking forward to), overdone eggs, had to pay extra for barista coffee which given the price we paid initially felt too much.
Additionally they were doing building works to the adult pool area, which meant quite loud and noisy drilling/ hammering - we were not made aware of this prior to booking or at check in.

Love the huge rooms! We had a two bedroom apartment and it was huge!!
I personally aren’t a fan of the pools, they are deep, and clean, but unlike a few other resorts, don’t have planting and different pool shapes etc, which made it fun for kids.

Terrible experience. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Phones didn’t work, basic amenities were missing, we were unable to find information we needed and staff were not keen to help in any way. Never again.

The deli
The food in all restaurants was very poor. The first night I ate at Koro restaurant, I turned up half an hour early for my reservation and was told that my table was not ready, even though there were 13 tables unoccupied. They did, however, find me a table. I ordered the grilled snapper, which, when it did arrive 50 minutes later, had been boiled with the skin on, so it was tough and rubbery. The next night, i ordered room service. It was so tasteless and bland that i could not eat it. The only thing I ate in 2 days was from the deli.
The pool chairs and the daybed in the room were torn and stained.
Construction is happening in front of the adult pool, which I was not told on booking.
The room needs some attention.
The stairs to get to the room looked like they had not been cleaned or maintained for years

Good location next to the ocean
Ants in the bedroom and on the beds. Very poor housekeeping - they threw bath robes on the floor and didn't clean the used mugs, didn't replace the teaspoons after they took them, also folded and stacked our wet bikinis that we were hanging to dry... Bathroom fan was really noisy and electrician turned it off completely due to faulty wires. I got really bad allergies on the last night from the bedsheets they changed. Smelly beach towels. Unhelpful restaurant staff asked me to look for dessert spoons myself in their staff drawers when she left to play with a kid. Why do I need to pay to stay at a 5- star hotel when it's pretty much self service... The stay was very disappointing and compare to other Hilton hotels I've stayed, the fiji one is the poorest.

Kein Fiji Feeling
Würde dieses Hotel nicht mehr wählen

Breakfasts were wonderful. Great to have an omelet made each day. Staff were so friendly over the whole resort.
I would have liked to be able to hang up togs and towels to dry, so a clothes horse would have helped.

Bula express, a bit slow
4.5 / 5.0
Great restaurants and pools, handy bula express to get around. Bed was really comfy, and the cleaners dropped off lots of water and supplies daily. Room service options were excellent.
We had a room that was facing away from the beach, and it took 20 minutes to walk to it from the main reception. If I stayed there again I would request a room closer to the main pool.

. Gardens and outside area well maintained.
I paid AU$ 800per night and the Hilton did not live up to expectations. The hotel was run down, dusty & dirty. The door locks did not work and fell off when we checked in, took them 3 days to fix. The smoke alarm went off on the second night, hairdryer was old and didn’t work. Telephone was gross and filthy, I didn’t want to touch it. I rang reception several times and no one would pick up so I had to walk to reception and wait. Hotel staff weren’t helpful to resolve issues immediately.. I had to continuously follow up more than three times to resolve. Usa who checked us in, was not helpful when I reported issues. Completely ignored, I escalated to the manager Akosita and she was helpful and provided two day refund after following up for a resolution a number of times. I would never stay here again, it’s not worth the price.

everything. it was excellent. just we were in older rooms and they have some repairs needed but it did not ruin my stay. we havent been for 6+ years and still knew half the staff. really lovely - super relaxing.

Friendly staff. Clean facilities. AMAZING food!
The staff informed me I couldn’t pay with my credit card and instead advised I go convert currency from USD to figian. After extensive driving and going to multiple currency exchange vendors I was able to procure enough figian dollar to pay for my hotel stay. Only to be advised later by my wife my credit card would have sufficed and saved me multiple taxi charges, currency conversion charges. They offered an apology but did nothing to rectify the currency wasted.

The room had ample space just looking a bit tired. Breakfast was okay enjoyed the variety of options. Dinner was also okay at the Thai not the best I have had though 6 out of 10
Rooms tired, quite a bit of renovations happening.

We liked it being close to the sea and the relaxed atmosphere, with the gym. Close to Denarau Port and other resorts for different dining and shopping if you want
While our room was comfortable and clean it looked a bit tired and the Hilton Hotel/Beach and Spa should consider updating or refreshing the rooms. Some of the prices are dear and I would buy some of the items, whether food or goods somewhere else, Denarau Port.

The house-keeping staff were excellent. Breakfast opened early. The Asian Restaurant was nice. That was where we found the nicest dish. Lovely view from the restaurant. Clean cutlery and good service.
Dull room. Hot water shortage. Toilet kept refilling the cistern and noisy. Noisy fridge. Had to turn it off. No power point for jug. Had to place it on the floor. Very complicated light switch board.
2.5 / 5.0
Pool was nice and MOST of the staff were friendly. The bula express drivers and the buggy drivers were all super friendly. Everyday our room was tidied and bed remade.
The bed and pillows are so uncomfortable, bed had bed bugs, my partner, child and myself all had rashes/bites all over our bodies, the room was run down and the bathroom/shower wasn’t clean. For what we paid was quite disappointing.
