Beautiful large well appointed villa and private pool, beautifully furnished with the iconic Pacific Green furniture.
Quiet, private and away from the main resort.
Wonderful warm welcome from caring staff.

Lovely staff and amazing area and place

Ocean front property and great staff! Maids were great, better than most we have had .
Location by the refinery was not great but well hidden by trees so not a big deal.
4.0
Lovely breakfasts both cooked and continental
Price a little higher than I'm happy with but I must have got confused when booking.

Garden is the best asset of this hotel. Lush greenery at the ocean shore. The rest was average or below average. Ocean bures are big, nice and set in the garden with the ocean view. Terace is completely covered by mosquito net, so you can sit outside comfortably. Eggs breakfast were nice.
Firstly, they mixed up with our room which was very unpleasant after 35 hours of flight. It was resolved, but still, we did not feel like taken care of properly. Low tide during the day, so you need to walk far from the beach, no proper amenities (such as sunbeds) at the beach (due to high tide). Only ocean villas which are situated above, are provided by sunbeds. If you plan to “lie at the beach” this is not the place. We had only breakfast, continental is average. Bed is like a trampoline :) though nicely big. Overall it is a bit dated. You need a car in this area. In the walking distance only marina, with one nice restaurant, but the walk is not pleasant - you must follow the road.

Affordable rate and friendly atmosphere
I had a sea view room but could see only black rocks/sands during low tide.

Breakfasts were great .lunch & dinners were also great with lovely staff .Very peaceful setting .Entertainment was also wonderful. The room was really comfortable & loved the private verandahs with screening to keep mosquitos out . Loved the welcome spelled out with palm leaves & the hibiscus on the bed .
Little things - We couldn’t find the activities board ,so didn’t know what was available etc so maybe more information could have been put up in a more obvious place . Went to hire a canoe but the shed was unattended & no time given for when it would be open etc .

Loved the warrior dance and the band boys. The staff were all very friendly.
Well, first off, when we entered the property, we asked the reception if we're being charged for the infant traveling with us, she said no, we then showed her the proof that on booking.com we are being charged a difference of about $150NZD if we select just adults and if we select and infant too, her reply was you're not being charged for the kid. I had no other options but to pay the amount as it was non refundable booking.
At rhe breakfast, we're glad we didn't pay for the inclusive breakfast. For $18, all you get is some continental breakfast and for anything in the hot breakfast menu, you need to pay for it. The menu mentioned that all breakfast includes coffee, juice, etc. On asking about that, the answer was that that's a misprint and only continental breakfast includes the drinks.
The pool was always dirty with leaves and bugs. Also it's not at all kid friendly as it's too deep just after the first step. The walls had mould that the kid kept on scratching and getting onto his nails.
The room service has a delivery charge of FJ $5. We ordered fries for $8 and they advised that there's a $5 charge for room delivery. I mean Wtf.. A resort charging for room service. That's the first I've heard of it.
All three of us have multiple insect bites. Which we didn't while checking into first landing. The bathrooms had mosquitoes and there were no insect repellents installed to deter those.
There are no events apart from a band playing live music in the evenings and the warrior dance on alternate days, which we enjoyed a lot.
Coming from the Warwick resorts, where we paid $450 for 2 nights, vs first landing where we paid $600 for 2 nights, I would always go back to warwick.

Sunset views from our room, comfy beds, great pool
The staff at the resort were excellent, always went above and beyond. They are a credit to the resort 😁

We had an absolutely fantastic week at First Landing.
The staff made our stay exceptional. Especially our housekeeper Tevola.
The food was fabulous... our room amazing.

Accomodation nice restaurant staff and service great 😊
Check in staff do not like queries, we had charges on our bill that were not ours so asked for print out but that took all day eventually they acknowledged the error so would advise to check your bill a day prior to check out, staff at front desk not happy when you query a bill it seems
2.5
Good food selection at good prices.
Room was very tired, in need of an upgrade... Booked a room that said it had a bath and there was none in the room. Appliances etc are very tired and should be upgraded.
Was booked at short notice so nothing much more available - may stay again as a 'last resort' but in my opinion was far to overpriced for what we got. Cafe served nice food but eating area was dirty, plates and cups were not super clean - had to be careful what one you picked.

We really enjoyed staying here. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the resort was well presented and a nice place to relax. The meals were very nice and good value. As always, the staff were exceptional.

Lovely accommodation, great food and perfect setting for a relaxing holiday.
Marina next door was a bit noisy at times

Outdoor dining areas and view once tide was in. Room (and room cleaning service) was comfortable.
WiFi and view when tide was out, Resort was looking a little tired and overpriced compared with hotels at Denaru
4.5
The beach front amd quiet location. The payhways and vegetation. Landscaping was excellent.
The room we stayed in requires updating. Clean but bathroom needs renovating.

First Landing Resort was a good place for a short stay on our way home from Australia. We enjoyed the pool tucked in a grove of trees and ocean swimming when the tide was in. The continental breakfast had great selection and other meals were quite good as well with wonderful staff. The dinner shows were great and loved the staff meke. Had a wonderful herbal plant walk and cava tasting with the manager. Our waterfront spa bure had great sunset views and was spacious with 2 beds. We walked to the Vuda marina store and ate twice at their restaurant. Also walked to Nila Resort for amazing Indian food. Hired a taxi and went to the mud pools and horse riding at the new horsetrack just opening next to it. Great free late check if you don’t mind the older facilities you shower and change in.
We were disappointed that the resort no longer offers boat trips to nearby islands. When we inquired at the tour desk, we were given no help except some brochures for expensive charters. The boat business across from the marina were also unhelpful and twice promised to contact us about a tour but never did. The room was great except for the cockroaches in the bathroom.

Staff were happy, engaging and helpful. The room was spacious, and the gardens are beautiful. The trees in particular are magnificent on the property. The resort location is convenient and the only option to service the marina - we were about to embark on a sailing expedition. It is a very relaxing location.
The facilities are tired - we were warned of this before we arrived so we were prepared. The bathroom was old, with mould on the ceilings. The price charged at the property was significantly higher than that quoted on Booking.com and all credit cards are charged another 3.5% (at the airport the charge is 2%), we would have brought cash if we had been advised ahead of time.

The staff was more than excellent.
The food was very good
The swimming pool is beautiful and large.
The bures are old and need upgrading.
Having no internet in the Bure was a bit of a problem.

Everything, meals were good value for money and always served with a big Fijian smile. Service was excellent too. Staff so friendly and welcoming, they greet you with a big Bula welcome and say welcome home to everyone. Can't thank all the staff by name but Mia, and Joe are just 2 that were so wonderful.
that it rained for most of our time there, but we still had a good trip.

Great stay as always, very good breakfast. Staff are excellent. Loved the singers at the bar. Was there for a cyclone passing but went well. No complaints at all really. Food at the bar is not overly expensive.
Not a criticism of this hotel but hotels in general in Fiji have an obsession with playing really crappy American C&W music and not their own lovely songs.
4.0
a surprise, old school Fijian, big rooms with amazing Hugh tree canopy. Great bar , food and bands. very reasonable prices. relaxing.
it’s not 5 star but much better than our Marriott Momi Bay stay
a bit isolated but no real need to go anywhere else.
there was a few Indian weddings which used a few areas but that hospitality
the pool needs a Reno

The staff made this place
It was a little remote. The beach was not really the best. The facilities could stand a little updating.

The property is in need of an upgrade. There are limited services at the resort and it is located in an area where you need a car if you don’t want to be at the resort the whole time.
The unit I was in was noisy. The air conditioner was very loud and there were work activities being undertaken at the back of the villa. Number 316.

Close to Vuda Marina which is the port I need to depart to the island I want to go to.
Not very clean and bed is too soft and uncomfortable.
2.5
The view from our Oceanfront Bure at high tide was lovely. It was also great having our own outdoor seating area that was enclosed by fly screen walls.
It was great having Vuda Marina only a short 5 minute walk away with a great general store and fantastic restaurant/bar - The Boat Shed.
On previous trips to Fiji we have had a number of meals at First Landings and the food and atmosphere have been great, so we decided this time to actually stay there as well. We knew what we were getting ourselves in for with the basic accommodation (incl no TV) and view of the mangroves at low tide, however there was just no atmosphere this time and some of the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there.
We arrived slightly early and our room wasn't yet ready so we were taken to the bar area where we were told we were going to get some welcome drinks, but they never arrived, we were then ignored by the staff for close to an hour. When we did get our room key there was no real welcome, we weren't shown around or told how things worked in respect to room service, laundry etc, there was also no compendium in the room.
The first time my husband and I took a dip in the pool it was very quickly taken over by about 10 local children yahooing in and around the pool. The second time we went to take a dip in the pool we didn't even bother as the pool area was full of inhouse guest families with their children.
First Landings would be a great place to stay if you are a family or travelling in a group as you can make your own atmosphere. I would also recommend the Villa's over the Bures. I would not recommend First Landings for a couple wanting a relaxing holiday.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was expensive for the choices you were given.
A good variety of dishes on the dinner menu. It was great to see that there were Fijian dishes offered. The New Year's Eve buffet was delicious with a variety of food including Fijian/Indian cuisine. Fantastic New Years Eve entertainment.
We had 2 x rooms. Both rooms needed to be upgraded/refurbished for the price we paid. Room 1 was adequate. There was no face/hand towel in the room. The water pressure/heating was very poor. Room 2 leaked badly, no electricity (one morning). In the middle of the first night the family were moved into 2 bures only to be told they had to move back to the original bure in the morning (the bed had been moved away from the leak). This created a limited living space. The noise in the roof sounded like rats moving about.
The surfaces were very slippery with no mats outside the room to accomodate this problem.

Staff were amazingly attentive and the location is paradise!

The staff at the resort were an absolute gem. The food was great and the location was perfect.
Our villa was next to the resort workshop/garage and there would be days when it would get noisy pretty early (power tools and vehicles)
