Near green space for our dog
Loved the old style and it was quiet
Only thing I would have liked is to sit at a table to have breakfast. Very happy to sit elsewhere for breakfast as we have a dog but difficult to eat a cooked breakfast from the Roy d tables in the reception area.

The location is great the room was really comfortable and well equipped the breakfast was delicious a great choice the food in the Convive restaurant was fantastic
The staff are very friendly and helpful I would highly recommend staying and will definitely book again
Nothing.

Convenient location and a good price for the standard of hotel.
Rather limited range of meals in Stables pub, not helped by two things being off the menu

The weather was good.
Room was small and tired. The view wasn't the best. View over the bar roof. Bar had very little, if any atmosphere

Beautiful property, brilliant nights sleep, bed was well comfy. The restaurants food was delicious and breakfast was spot on. Really nice pub on the grounds as well.
Nothing to dislike.

Long wait between courses in restaurant staff no very attentive.

Property was in a lovely location
We were disappointed as we was told breakfast was on Sunday until 10.30am we went down at 9.55am and they were closing at 10am so was unable to have a cooked breakfast. We went for Sunday lunch felt like a canteen atmosphere with tables very basic.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were warm and friendly.they were able to answer any question asked. Breakfast was okay.
We ate in the restaurant during our stay, On the first night dinner was satisfactory, however on the second night the dinner was cold. Staff were nice and friendly .

Room was ok but very noisy. As it was in August chose a room with AC however think it may need servicing as it sounded like a washer on a spin cycle and kept us awake.
Attitude of some staff, but there were some nice staff too. We paid £35 a head for afternoon tea as advertised and received stale bread and scones and items missing from the menu. I brought it up and was told the online menu wasn't the menu they were doing. We then decided to go to the Stables bar and asked for a wine list or a price list and was told there wasn't one so we had to order drinks and just pay whatever they asked for

Room was very spacious and immaculately clean, Big comfy bed. Breakfast was really good with excellent choice. On site pub was a bonus, we ate there on the evening and contrary to some reviews I read, the food was good and arrived in a timely fashion. Staff were all friendly and efficient.
Not much.

The property was lovely.
The manger was rude and not friendly in the restaurant. I did make a remark to management regarding this. They apologised and gave us a bottle.
I paid for the evening meal in advance with my booking. So I did not expect to pay extra for my meal. Especially when we were told after we had eaten the meal!!!
I complained on check out and the hotel took the meal off the bill which I was grateful for.
Was kept awake most of the night with young people running in the corridor and banging doors.
Cooked Breakfast was very dry.

Room was very hot and air conditioning unit was noisy.

Great Location for exploring g the region
Beautiful period features
Comfort
Staff attentiveness
Ample free parking
There is a lift in the newer portion of the property but not in the Manor House where I stayed.
I would have liked gluten free food at breakfast
I would have liked a pool on site - guests do have access to local facilities just a short drive away.

Very clean and fresh facilities and rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and an excellent breakfast.

The general setting of this country house hotel and grounds, a world in itself. Easy, secure, supervised parking. Friendly and professional staff, particularly at The Stables, which made our 50th Anniversary return to Leeds (my wife and I met at the University, as I told everyone!) a pleasure. Ease of bus links to city. Quiet: double-glazed windows on this ground floor room were very effective, with courtyard and pub seating outside. Excellent choice of breakfast. Eating options from formal at Convive to informal atmosphere at the onsite pub. Particularly liked the option to forego room cleaning in exchange for £5 voucher. Very comfortable bed, and foolproof shower.
Would have liked consistent pricing on the dining menu: e.g. fish and chips were £4 more expensive than advertised on the info screen. One chair between two in the room. No newspapers - available at Spar a mile away, so I recommend driving there. The staff were struggling with the numbers for breakfast on day two of our stay - many hot containers had not been replenished, so one had to revisit and pounce when food appeared in them: a different take on 'scrambled eggs'! These are minor quibbles: staff were polite and professional, doing their best under difficult circumstances.

Been to this property for a social event, as others family members have stayed here, so decided to do so too, lovely place
Didn’t like anything, wonderful older property with good facilities

I loved the staff and food and the stables pub.
It was great but there were some ants and flies in the bathroom

It’s a lovely property in a part of the city we needed to be in. Staff were friendly.
Furnishings are a bit dated. The shower curtain was fabric with no liner and there was mould on the windowsill on a ground floor bathroom. We asked for two rooms together as a family but were put two floors apart. The breakfast was not great and most of us didn’t finish. Would have preferred more limited options done to a higher standard.

Useful location for Leeds and countryside, style of buildings, reception staff very helpful, really comfortable beds, plenty of parking, events rooms, catering.
Less expensive rooms have very dull lighting and you can't adjust the heating in them.

The Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help.
That we had booked a disabled room for my 91 year old Mum and had it confirmed both verbally and by email. Yet on arrival the room given was a normal room with a totally unsuitable bathroom. The disabled rooms had been let out so no alternative could be given. They did move her to a closer room so she didn't need to travel so far. But my wife had to help my mum keep clean not ideal for either of them.

Nothing went really well except late check-in
room was too hot and radiator not adjustable. Necessary to sleep with window open and traffic noise.
Breakfast was buffet with many items not replenished and tables not cleared
Bed was too soft and lumpy
Carpet was stained and looked dirty

Very tiny kettle

Excellent customer service and very accommodating, unfortunately I forgot his name otherwise I would have mentioned him. Male, long curley hair at reception, very cheerful and welcoming.
Couldn’t find the hotel booklet in the room so wasn’t sure what services were available. Was hoping for a pool or spa

Everything was very well maintained, very organised, very clean and lovely helpful staff 😊 A mini fridge with bottled water in the room was an added bonus as well as a powerful fan which came in very handy.
The breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel setting, lots of choice and variety, very fresh and tasty ! Really really good 👍, the staff in the restaurant at breakfast were very pleasant and helpful too. 😊
Didn't really dislike anything but if I had to change anything it would be to add a swimming pool 😊

I booked this hotel for my mum for her birthday. She said the room was lovely, very spacious and the bed was super comfy.
When she went for breakfast it was cold and she didn't really like it.

We had an evening meal in the restaurant quality of food was exceptional, staff were very attentive.
We also had breakfast food choice was very good and quality good.
Staff were very obliging.
We ate at the Stables pub, although food is bought from main building we ordered pizza which really didn’t have much taste not much topping at all. Food here is served in brown boxes we was told this before we ordered, which was ok but slightly disappointing considering quality of hotel.

our favourite hotel :)
No Complaints really, wish we can book single nights if picking

Reception staff very helpful and polite
Room very basic for the price
Breakfast mediocre not suitable for runners of the Leeds marathon
Deserts on the evening menu tasteless
