The property was beautiful, so clean and tidy, welcoming, comfy and cosy atmosphere and everywhere smells lovely! Everyone was so friendly and we were even given a room upgrade which was such a lovely surprise that we really appreciated ❤️

Bed was super comfortable, pretty good location
Our room was a king suite but didn't feel very special at all, just a slightly bigger room than your average but nothing out of the ordinary. The decor felt a little tacky and dated, we were missing a hand towel and one of the coffee mugs was dirty when we arrived. And they had left a Christmas decoration on the table which felt odd given we visited in June

Fantastic breakfast— do not book without it! Also a perfect walk from everything.

The welcome and the exceptional friendliness of the staff was so very lovely! It really felt like they cared so much about making people's stay the best and most comfortable it could be. The hotel itself was perfect -It felt very safe, which as a solo female traveller is important to me, delicious choice of breakfast, including veggie/vegan options and dark and quiet at night, with a very comfortable bed. The location is great for exploring Brighton and so close to the beach. I would most definitely stay again. Thank you :)
I just wish I could have stayed longer!

The welcome at reception by Dragaas set the tone for our stay. His customer service was superb, friendly, warm and informative. The location in buzzy Kemptown and within sight of the beach and a short walk into the main town is excellent. The breakfast was in a bright room with a wide range of choice both full English and continental, everything very fresh. Small things like butter and marmalade in pots not terrible plastic sachets were noticeable. Our room (10) was lovely, spacious with a small balcony looking onto a small park and the sea. The bed was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Lots of milk and tea /coffee (hate it when hotels are mean with things like that). Tastefully decorated throughout. Excellent value for money. We were lucky enough to have an upgrade (thank you!) but I think all of the rooms would be of a similarly high standard. We plan to come back and will certainly recommend.
That we only stayed one night!
If there is one criticism it's that I would prefer firmer pillows..I mentioned this on departure and was told that next time I should mention this on booking as there are firmer pillows which can be provided on request, so our fault for not mentioning sooner.

Large comfortable bed, friendly & helpful staff, nice shower, selection of teas. Possibility to leave the baggage is much appreciated, as we still had a full day in Brighton after the check out. The staff responded to all of our quieries.
Although the location is central which is great for walking, St James's St is full of junkies and homeless people. Watching them taking drugs in the morning is not the best view. Understand this is more of Brighton's issue and not the hotel's.

The location was perfect, just off the front and we had a good view of the sea and the pier. We had the windows open most nights and it was very quiet, even at the weekend. It was a short walk to the front and to the city centre. The bus stop very nearby with buses going along the coast to Eastbourne via all the smaller places on the way. Going the other way buses went up to the station, very convenient for our last day
Minor issue but sometimes it was very busy at breakfast and others not at all - regardless of how busy it was the plentiful staff were always very attentive.

Fantastic location, 7 minutes to the lanes and plenty of lovely cafes around.
The walls are really thin. We were put in a room on the ground floor and could hear everyone coming in and in the adjacent rooms, literally even their conversations. It's a real shame because I really liked the hotel but it all comes down to whether you can sleep or not.
