Limited parking. Breakfast was overpriced too

Excellent decor, lovely staff & great location
4.5
We stated for a night half board to watch a show over the road. The bar and coffee shop are really nice and well decorated, staff were all really good. Food was brilliant. Great location with a sea view.
The only negative thing was that the pillows were really strange, as if they were filled with air. I would definitely return but maybe take my own pillow!
3.0

The room was lovely, all the staff were excellent and most helpful. I will return again when I visit Folkestone. Excellent value for money.
The sink in the bathroom filled up quickly despite taking the plug out completely. We were worried it would overflow just while washing our hands. The drainage is very, very slow in the bathroom sink. Other than that, everything was lovely.

4.0
The view from the dining room
Hot food was warm not hot. Melon was underripe and only option for toast was white bread.
Restaurant was cold.
In my opinion bread should be included with the soup, not offered for an addition £4.50
Cheese platter at dinner was basic - biscuits not as described and no fruit or celery. Disappointing.
Green salad was mixed leaves only, description should be better.

Breakfast was lovely every thing you need and good service from the staff. Location good a nice walk to the town or seafront.
3.5

Loved the new decor. Staff so friendly and location ideal for travelling, shopping etc. The shower I wanted too take home with me
The lift but it's an old building so we understand some parts have too stay as they are

It’s had a beautiful refurbishment really has improved the hotel! Positioned is great. Lovely bar and restaurant.
Very small car park

Ontbijt redelijk .

Been there many times before. It is currently going through some renovation so the 1st floor is not in use at the moment. The location is brilliant, the staff very polite and helpful. We ate at Marco Pierre Whites restaurant and food was good. Once it’s finished it’ll be great
Nothing really

It was basically opposite the venue we were visiting and the room was a very good size.
The bar shuts a little early but maybe that's just us 🙂

Excellent
No heating in room
Kettle socket not working
Reception needs to be much bigger, and up to date, for a huge hotel like this one !!
3.5
Location - rooms big and tidy - partial view of the sea -
The renovations at the time - start time in the morning of the workers and therefore the noise but I know it’s just a period of time
The small elevator which only fits two people but I didn’t have any other choice cause they were working on the stairs and I couldn’t get down.
4.0
Welcoming professional staff. Clean and tidy reception. New rooms delightful.
Breakfast was a bit patchy in quality and there wasn’t much variety/choice. I would have liked a proper coffee and better deli /bread selection, but the strong tea was tasty.

The room was newly refurbished and very nicely decorated. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable! The bathroom was quite standard but everything was new and clean. The room also had air conditioning which was a great touch, as during our stay we had quite a warm day and evening and the room was situated on one of the top floors. From the hotel room window you could see the sea too! The seafront is not even a minute's walk - it's across the road, which is a great treat.
There was a lot of choice for breakfast, and the member of staff in the breakfast room was very friendly and attentive. Most of the tables are found in an absolutely beautiful garden dining room with big glass windows overlooking a private green garden that you cannot see from the hotel entrance.
Overall the customer service was great too - all staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. I would return.
Currently the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment on some floors. Getting back down to reception in the morning was a little confusing because some staircases were closed for the building works, but there was no signage to show where the alternative route to reception could be found.

Clean room and nice shower but a little small.
Great restaurant and nice decor

Lovely hotel, amazing restaurant and welcoming staff
There was work going on in the hotel so very noisy. They were also playing music really loudly at 8am in the morning. We weren't warned about this before we arrived.

Excellent location, nice garden and sea view from the window, nice traditional English interior, room was just refurbished, very comfortable shower, lovely staff.
It was very hot in the room like in the hell. Conditioner didn’t work properly and it was terrible to be inside. I suppose there were a problems with air conditioning and ventilation systems in general not just because of the weather. It is not acceptable. We can’t stay in our room and my daughter couldn’t sleep.
