property itself was beautiful, perfectly manicured gardens.
each of the villas vary- our villa was very dark and did not have a ice outlook as pictured in the garden villa category at time of booking. our villa looked out to our car - not to the nice grounds, the surrounding hedge was so overgrown which blocked all sunlight. we did not like our room, but the check in staff couldn’t assist.

8.0
The ambience of the place with beautiful cold climate English style gardens like you'd expect in the Blue Mountains and the comfort and style of the accommodations
Staff ion the restaurant were pleasant but not particularly attentive or efficient. The menu is quite restricted however what is available is extremely good

Staff very good but not managed well
We completed a comments card but it was never confirmed as accepted
Bed terrible so little sleep
Menu very good but several staff serving same table caused confusion

The grounds, rooms, pool, restaurant all excellent!
The service was not as expected given the hotel rating and price. The staff did not meet expectations of a boutique hotel.

The accomodation was fantastic, really comfortable and clean. The spa experience was very relaxing with great massage therapists. The staff throughout our stay made us feel very welcome and well looked after. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is a great place to soak up the afternoon sun.
Our experience at the restaurant was quite poor unfortunately. Whilst the waitstaff and sommelier were attentive and knowledgeable, the kitchen staff really let the side down.

Everything went well!
Due to sudden Covid lockdown the restaurant was shut and we had to order room service meals. We wished the a la carte menu could have been available and delivered to our cabins instead of just the room service menu - was a bit disappointing.

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous cottages, lovely staff and great food. COVID rules changed mid stay and they adapted extremely well. Can’t wait to go back.

This was our second stay... and it seems that the maintenance and service standards have slipped .. both the lights outside our villa were not working ( on dark rainy nights we would have appreciated them !)
TV in the bedroom was faulty ( picture was so dark that you couldn’t watch it properly!)
Staffing levels in the restaurant need better resourcing, for instance, on one busy morning for breakfast we waited for over half an hour to get any food at our table but the next morning when it was quiet the service was good ( thanks Nicholas) so clearly not staff’s fault but they can do with more support!
