Beautiful location. Very green a quiet. Staff were friendly and professional
Facility could use a little upgrading

We stayed in a triple room set amongst lovely gardens and ponds. The hotel is quite spread out so you dont feel crowded in. The pool and surrounds overlooks Sigiriya Rock which is just amazing. Definately worth staying here just to see this. The food at the restaurant was delicious and there was plenty of options to choose from. The bar served cold beer and delicious cocktails. It was truly a magical place to stay.
The aircon in our room was not very efficient and the ceiling fan only had one setting, being very fast. The shape of the triple room could do with a more powerful unit. We ended up pulling the single bed into the main living area to get some relief from the heat. We had to ask 3 times for a travel adapter and ended up tracking one down ourselves. Only small issues really - not life changing!!

Loved the location! Perfect if you want a comfy stay near the Lion rock. Huge bonus with the pool.
There was some misunderstandings with the staff due to a language barrier, but they did what they could to make us happy!!

Saman is extremely friendly and helpful.
The location to Lion’s Rock is walkable from the hotel. The only reason you would come to Sigiriya is to climb this or the other rock close by. There is nothing else in this area.
Pretty bar and pool area, having a drink at the bar was nice with the entertainment every night being a big plus.
Surroundings are gorgeous, lush trees and jungle feeling. It’s really like a village with many bungalows set out over a large space in mini cul-de-sacs.
Laundry was turned around quickly.
It was extremely damp in the rooms, the weather was terrible for our 2 night stay which is not the fault of the hotel but it meant all of our clothes seemed to get damp.
There are a lot of staff in the restaurant but they don’t really want to make eye contact with you to take order etc.
Toilets for the restaurant and bar area were quite dirty.
Our phone in the room did not work making it impossible to contact anyone and we were a 5 minute walk to the front desk. You might think this isn’t a big deal but when it’s pouring with rain constantly it’s not convenient.
There is a very limited number of plug sockets in the rooms.

The park, the animals, the view from the restaurant is breathtaking.
The food is delicious from breakfast to dinner!
Great staff, supere easy to communicate with and efficient. They helped us organized everything and suggested some very wise choices.
One minor thing, the drivers company they work with its quite expensive compared to the others we tried along our journey in Sri Lanka.

The staff was helpful and very friendly. Special thanks for the Head of housekeep and the reception staff in their support in changing the room at night.
Again, Staff were friendly, welcoming and supportive.
The breakfast buffet did not meet the expectations. There was variety, but there were a lot of flies.
Expect gecko in your room.
This is fine,.as the surrounding of the hotel and rooms are all nature, but not to the extend of finding four and expected to stay in the room.
The housekeeping team tried to take one out, but it is naturally difficult. So four would have taken a lot longer.
Lots of flies in the pool as well.
Very low lighting in the room.
No fixed phone to reached out for help. Instead, you call the front desk from your mobile (whatsapp also).

Beautiful park-like setting with a lot of wildlife. Well maintained facilities and spacious rooms. Wonderful view of the Sigiriya rock. Great swimming pool and lobby and dining area. Attentive and lovely staff.
The only thing would be that some food in the breakfast buffet wasn't freshly prepared like some curries, roti. It felt like they didn't have enough guests in order to make sense of a dinner and breakfast buffet at this time on the year in June. We really hoped the food doesn't go to waste.

The room was big and had high ceilings. The garden surroundings were also well kept. The guard at the gate was very friendly and welcoming.
The room had a musty and bad smell, it was humid and there was mold in the bathroom. The mold was painted over but still clearly visible. Our clothes started smelling bad and were slighty moist after our stay. The towels as well as the bed sheets smelled bad due to the humidity in the room. It shouldn't be too difficult to put a dehumidifier in the room. At this price level this can be expected. The bed was big but extremly hard and uncomfortable.
The dinner and breakfast buffet was not prepared for Western guests. The manager even commented on us having an issue with the spicy food, instead of offering more appropriate cuisine. The a la carte menu was small and not really offered at dinner time. An hour before the breakfast buffet ended, there was hardly any food left. The staff was a little condescending and not welcoming.
We stayed in room 232 and were happy to leave after two days. And of course no one cared to ask how our stay was. The staff did not seem interested in how we felt about our stay. We've been travelling through Sri Lanka for a month and this was by far the most expensive hotel we stayed at and it was also the worst!

Enjoyable village like property, with small houses dotted around a main building. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with many choices, dinner was tasty, but on the expensive side. Personnel very nice and welcoming. All in all, nice stay, but too expensive for the offer.
Wifi poor, both in the room and in the lobby/reception. Pool small for the number of guests present at that moment.

It was a proper resort with all the facilities. The resort had a nice view of the Sigiriya Rock from the swimming pool.
Being a big resort, we had to walk quite a distance to reach the room. The walkway should have been lit a bit more. We found couple of frogs in the bathroom and we saw a lizard pooping 💩 on the bed from the top.

The staff are super efficient and lovely and the view of Sigiriya rock impressive.
It’s a bit charmless and more like a conference center complex in places. They need to plant more flowers and add some touches of beauty and really spruce the place up to match the magic of the location.

the proximity to attractions , team at the property were great !
