The guide showing the butterflies and sloth was excellent and very attentive
Awful and so disappointing - no comparison to the Gamboa Reserve Resort that is only 8km away. The pictures on the website give a false impression of what this place actually looks like. Old, crumbling and dated. Water leaking through light in wardrobe. Staff were uninterested. No explanation at check in about the hotel, services available or what to do. Had to drag information out of the person running the tours. Staff in the restaurant were awful - had to ask for attention several times, food was served to one person then next person would get 15 minutes later. 25 minutes to get a drink despite there being 10+ servers and only 3 tables occupied. More interested in hosting events than looking after overnight guests. Such a disappointment . We were looking forward to this stay and ended up leaving a day early it was so bad

No había agua caliente.

I enjoyed the tours they had in the hotel, very informative and with beautiful scenery filled with animal and forest.
The cocktails very great, recommend the piña colada. Great places to walk and enjoy with the family.

location
the first room we were allocated was all broken - lights furniture and air conditioning. disgraceful room. 2nd room we were allocated- already occupied by someone else!. 3rd room allocated looked ok to start with (lost the will to live by now) filthy floor with lots of long black hairs on it. No housekeeping- came in early morning and took towels never returned. asked for housekeeping they left some towels and turned the card round to say do not disturb. lazy.

This was our first stop in Panama, and it was a lovely way to get oriented to our surroundings. The resort is just far enough outside the city to feel secluded, and they're making a lot of effort to make site improvements to restore the place to it's former glory. We loved the gorgeous murals, and the birding was spectacular. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, especially the fresh-squeezed juices. Our room was lovely, though very cold when we checked in! The staff was great, and they even helped us book a local fishing trip.
The walls are a bit thin, as our next door neighbor on night two started blaring music at 5:30 in the morning (but we only had neighbors one night). There were some options for activities, but you have to inquire at the desk, and they aren't well advertised. Meal options for lunch and dinner are a bit limited, and they don't advertise the evening specials well at all (but you should ask, because there usually is one).

location, quiet room , good hikes nearby. good pool, helpful staff
music by pool annoying. lots of fried food

Nice breakfast included. Beautiful grounds.
Room was dirty. There was a sticky mess left on the counter. Bathroom door didn’t close.
Wedding was happening onsite until 4am, music was so loud you could hear it from the hotel room.

Our suite was clean, and when we got to our room to celebrate our anniversary they left us wine and a beautiful chocolate cake for us to celebrate.
We stayed in the presidential suite and we thought it would be similar to a previous stay we had there to celebrate our anniversary before. We found out that the three presidential suites are not the same and last time we had stayed in a much bigger and nicer one. So in that sense our expectations were not met.

Everything at the hotel was fine, the free guided walks, the room, the surrounding greens, the friendliness of the staff.
However, it took over a week to get an answer with regards to the airport shuttle that they are supposed to provide, at a cost, with useless booking.com messages up and down. When they finally said they had no shuttle, I complained with booking. com for false information on their site. Then they suddenly did have a shuttle at a price about 3 times higher than it should be. It was the same when we needed a taxi again to leave. They could not help, they said. Yet, we heard their drivers that bring guests to the zoo or the walks, say several times that a schedule changed slightly because they had to go to the airport or other places.
In short, the hotel is good, and they offer nice activities for free, but the knowledge at the reception concerning organisation of transport (even their own, we waited 30mins for one of their tours booked the day before) is very bad. They could at least phone a taxi for a guest, or give a WhatsApp number.

The tours they offer are great. Butterfly and bird walk where you can See a lot! Also you should Do the Golf cart Tour in the afternoon and in the morning take the free shuttle to the soberania rainforest, walk around and Look around for animals. The beds were soft
The food options were Not easy as vegetarian.
There are a lot of people using Day Passes so there is Not much space for hotel guests at the Pool. It had a lot of Events going on (but very quiet rooms).
4.5
The location is awesome, the complimentary tours were one of the best nature experiences we had so far and the view from the balcony was also quite impressive
Some of the reception staff were not really motivated to help.
There were phases when the pool was dirty.
But all in all it was a great stay.
