Decent rooms, nice breakfast.
The first room I was checked into had no power. Electricity was not working at all. It took a while to get this message through to the staff. The restaurant was closed, although apparently they had sent me an email about this, but it meant driving into town for dinner as the location of the hotel is a bit off the beaten track. There was a corporate group in the restaurant area who were very noisy. I was moved to a second room above the restaurant and their noise certainly made an impact.

Good size room, clean, modern.
Great restaurant on site

One of my favourite little hotels. So comfortable, stylish and clean with extra attention to ambiance. The hot tub and sauna are fabulous and the gardens great for a wander. The restaurant is superb and the breakfast abundant.

Very nicely presented! Beautiful renovation and very comfortable. We were treated so well by the staff, who went above and beyond for us after we had to book last minute when we realised we booked our alternate accommodation for the wrong date!
It’s a nice renovation, but there are certain parts that need more attention- eg. The bathroom was still quite dated.
4.3
Beautiful area to eat breakfast in
The grounds are beautiful
Liked the little kitchen area
No cereals at breakfast especially for children
Very congested around toaster
Rooms need an extra chair in and also somewhere to hang and put clothes. Not catering for longer staying guests.
Whoever did the redo of the rooms missed a lot of points

Cute amenities. Chickens are great for kids. The breakfast was lovely with some gluten-free options available.
There was black mould on the curtains in the corner of the room, and mould in the bathroom in the corners and grout. It was also a bit dusty.
Staff were difficult to come by as they don’t have a reception desk- they encourage you to book things through an app/website which is a bit lazy of them, and is clearly for cost cutting measures rather than guest convenience.
The lighting was nice and moody but made getting ready difficult as it was too dark in the room, even with all the lighting on and curtains open.

Our room was very clean and had been newly repainted.
There is nothing "Boutique" about this hotel.
It clearly was a good old motel before with cars parked in front of the rooms etc.
It has been given a fresh coat of paint (outside and inside) and parts of it are still under construction at this point.
During our stay we found the automatic closing door system at the bottom of the stairs very noisy and the bed was so soft we both had a terrible sleep.
There was no-one ever at the reception for the whole time we stayed there (check-in is done with code numbers for all doors so no need for keys), so you won't get any information on your surroundings, recommendations for places to eat, etc
So again do not expect anything boutique about this place apart from 2 or 3 unusual pieces of furniture in the rooms.

Charming motel turned hotel that is well kept. Loved the sun-filled breakfast room and humble yet delicious breakfast options. The hot tub is a fun and relaxing option nestled outdoors amongst the garden and trees – you can book 30 min slots for free (at reception) but it goes by fast so maybe worth checking if they allow 2 sessions. The room was very comfortable with solid bed, good aircon and shower (hot with good pressure). Lovely shower gels and shampoo/conditioner provided. Very convenient online check in and "just wave goodbye" check out.
The bathroom could do with an uplift like the rest of the room. The exhaust fan was noisy (but effective) and the old school light takes a while to brighten. Not enough bench or shelf space for toiletries.
4.3
Hot tub was amazing, staff were great, bed was sooo comfortable, room was nice! The staff even lit the fire for us at our request
There wasn’t any food available on site due to it being a Monday and nothing being opened, was hoping for some nibbles or something light to eat
4.3
Great location nice & quiet. Nice gardens. Staff lovely & very helpful.
Uncomfortable pillows. Very ordinary breakfast. Light on aircon very annoying especially at nite when trying to sleep.

We really enjoyed the location. Central to our trip.
Enjoying a hot tub outside and the sauna after a long bush walk was very much appreciated.
The breakfast provided was also appreciated with fresh boiled eggs, fruit, toast, local yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, tea and coffee.
The staff (when you can find them) were friendly and helpful-of special note was Jen and Jess.
As much as a lot of accommodation sites are moving to ‘contactless’ check in and check out’s to ‘assist’ with ‘seamless check in/out’…..the down side is finding help with the booking (especially booking sauna and hot tub) and when things like being locked out of our room because the lock was broken!!!! ONE STAFF MEMBER to man the bar, meals AND the management of the accommodation! Felt very let down.
One comment about the ‘ambience’ of the property…..SO NOISY! Constant intrusive music everywhere!!! You would hope to enjoy the serenity of the outside hot tub but the music that was loud and not at all conducive to relaxation it wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been. Also as most people DON’T always read their reservation details a sign at the hot tub AND in peoples rooms to remind them that you actually have to book the tub and sauna! (Especially if no staff around to explain this….and also where to pick up the sauna key and towels!
Also….There wasn’t anywhere to sit quietly outside. There was either music being blared out and/or whipper snippers/leaf blowers going. I know the garden is beautiful but some understanding of how to operate these in a logical, time efficient manner would have been appreciated.
It would have been nice to have had somewhere to sit outside and read a book or listen to the birds….not a relaxing environment after a long day bushwalking. The Green Room was hot, had loud music blaring and water dispenser empty.
The restaurant was often noisy too with music unsuitable for diners conversations.

Lovely staff
Pet friendly
Convenient check in
Stylish renovation
Fantastic restaurant
Bathroom not renovated other than tap ware and shower head.
The room looks lovely but is completely impractical:
- Nowhere to hang any clothing
- No table in room (We had to eat our beautiful restaurant meals sitting on the bed which was hard to do when the bed was so soft)
- Basic items like cutlery, plates, wine glasses and iron/ironing board are not in the room, you have to and get them from a communal area
- No extractor fan in bathroom - just a window that you can’t fully close so it was freezing!
- While the soft lighting looks nice it’s impractical, particularly in the bathroom
- The hotel grounds are undergoing renovation/further works so the view from our room was a mud pit
- Limited parking (assume this due to the works taking place in the grounds
I really wanted to love this hotel as the staff are lovely and the room does look nice, however the fact that the room wasn’t really functional was disappointing.

So beautifully presented, excellent facilities if you’re looking for something fun to do around the property. The on-site restaurant is beautiful and complimentary breakfast well-equipped. The staff onsite are lovely and helpful.
It was difficult to attain assistance via the phone from staff when I did not receive the check-in code and was having issues with the app. However the lovely woman at the restaurant assisted me upon arrival.

Clean, lots of space, tea/coffee

The fab onsite restaurant and bar. The Australian native garden. A lot of care has been taken with this renovation.
The lighting is romantic but quite dim.
4.3
Public areas were aesthetic and free breakfast. Fuss free check in process as they sent you the door codes and you unlock it using your phone.
It was 15 mins drive from Katoomba which is the main town to explore blue mountains. The room was dark as there were few lights. The toilet was mostly dated - tiles and mirror was placed too high for shorter guests. It was hard to get the right temperate for the water with the hot and cold knobs. The mattress was also too soft, which I suppose some people will like.
4.3
Great location; clean and comfortable; lovely restaurant and bar.
Nothing - all good.
4.3
Restirant was great
Wish we could pay extra for sasages bacon and eggs, like a big breaky, but the whole exsperiance value for money and fasilities are next level!
4.3
The decor and different parts of the hotel were lovely, especially the gardens.
The dinning room/ bar was a lovely room and the breakfast served each morning was varied snd full of local ingredients.

The rooms were clean and had a cool/modern décor, the hot tub & sauna facilities were a bonus, the proximity to the Blackheath town centre was great, and the restaurant & bar was outstanding - Excellent food, drinks and service.
4.3
One of the big disappointments I had with the property was that I had booked the hot tub through the phone for 9 pm the night I was staying there but when I wanted to go reception told me it’s already been booked for someone else.
So so disappointing, no proper communication.
Hot tub booking was through the phone and I didn’t received any confirmation for my booking to be able to show it to the reception.
One of my main reason I chose the hotel was the outdoor hot tub and I even didn’t get a chance to use it.
4.3
The hot tub, gardens and other facilities were beautiful and clean.
The buffet breakfast was really good.
The rooms were clean well presented. The beds were comfy
We didn’t love the amenities. The conditioner made our hair really dry. They all smelled good though.
The restaurant was really good, just very expensive.
4.3
Lovely room, complimentary breakfast, snacks and hot tub
Nothing

Room excellent , location excellent , food excellent, staff excellent
Toilets, bad lighting and poor ventilation
4.3
The hotel room was a bit quirky a mrege off the old and new locatioin a bit out of the way the piece de resistance the Blaq restuarant the manager oif the bar Dwayne should get payed more hes has lot to do not only looking aftre tables ,staff , and serving at the bar he was brilliant.
The food exquisite should be a hatted rating delicious , varied presentation top notch and setting outstanding and staff very freindly and helpful (Visit the Dry Ridge Estate Megalong Valley a must if you visit)
The only thing that spoiled it was the reception it might be just me but when you are ignored by people who are having a chat about there families maybe it was because we arrived early to book in ?
4.3
The bed was comfy, great additional elements like the sauna/hot tub/ tennis court/little yard to walk around or have a sit. Loved the little chicken coop.
The walls are quite thin so we were woken up pretty early each morning by the guest neighbours. The lighting in the room is also very dark which was kind of weird. They also just need a non-flat basketball :-)
4.3
Second time staying at Kyah and as always it didn't disappoint! This time we brought family with us and the hotel was able to put us all next to each other. I came the first time before the renovations and WOW! Now you can enjoy a jacuzzi, sauna and a beautiful garden! We LOVED IT!!! Always a bonus point for the restaurant Blaq + the complementary breakfast!
4.3
Friendly staff and nice restaurant with excellent dining and wine options. There were an extensive set of guest facilities - pool, hot tub etc and it provided a relaxing environment.
Parking was a little crowded because the motel was full. The rooms are designed by an interior designer to look functional but they are not really functional. I would have refereed a large table on which I could have used my computer rather than the two small round ones that were too low. There was only one chair in the room - not helpful for two people. The plant in the corner pot took up a lot room.
4.3
The room was very attractively decorated, and the bed was very comfortable.
Not a lot of lighting, the room was quite dark. The bedside tables are way too low and small - asthetics over funcationality. If I was staying for longer then not having a wardrobe or drawers would have been annoying.
The restaurant was extremely noisy and not at all relaxing. The food was good though.
4.3
Love the decor, the Motel design with elements of Palm Springs. Rooms are super clean, modern.
4.3
Bedroom large and bed very soft. Smallish but, adequate bathroom. There was a big variety of bar snacks and drinks in the room. Included breakfast from the grazing table was excellent. The hot tub was a very nice addition to our stay. We also dined at Blaq which was fabulous and played golf across the road. Electric charger was a bonus.
Nothing to not like. Perhaps more light available in the bedroom
4.3
Everything was amazing, beautiful place lovely staff, nothing was a problem. All staff members were very helpful and friendly.
4.3
Lovely hotel, great remake and absolutely delicious food
having to book in for hot tub and often missing out. no bathrobes and slippers in the room
