We were in the apartment and breakfast was not included however this was explained to us
Three flights of stairs to get to the apartment and the internal decor was impractical. The painted floors were unexpected to the negative.

Great location in one of the main streets, yet the hustle and bustle does not reach the rooms. Very quiet rooms comfortable beds with diff choice of pillows.
Staff very helpful and extremely cordial.
Loved it.

The palazzo is a true historic gem, right in the center of Palermo. We stayed 2 nights, each in a different room, and both were beautiful- except that the suite was just exceptional! I’ve never stayed in a more luxurious room. I recommend it 100%.
Thank you to the staff - Federica, Sarah, Darin and the breakfast and cleaning staff for the wonderful help and accomodation with dinners and sight-seeing, and especialy to the Baron and Baronness Bernardo and Simona Arone De Valentino for the incredible generosity in allowing us to see the procession of Santa Rosalia from the upstairs balcony (with the aqua anis!) It was so lovely to meet you, you made our stay truly unique and special.

The property was beautiful. We didnt do the tour but our room, the front hall, the lounge area and breakfast room were so beautifully decorated. Everything was super clean and maintained too. We had daily cleaning too.
Federica in reception was super nice and helped us with some shuttle bookings and recommendations from day one. She always had a smile on her face too.
Breakfast was delicious from salty things to pastries.
Also the location was perfect half of block away from the main street were all restaurants and attractions are in each direction but no noise once you walked inside the building
No complaints.

Incredibly central place to stay in a beautiful old palazzo. Very helpful staff and spacious room.
Nothing that anyone could do, but the window was very small and onto an internal courtyard so felt quite claustrophobic in the bedroom. If that isn’t a problem for you then all good! Also wifi dropped out all the time.

Staying in a palazzo was an extraordinary experience - luxury from the moment we arrived. We stayed here at both the beginning and end of the holiday. Sara and Frederica were wonderfully helpful.
Nothing!

Location was great! Right in the heart of the main pedestrian street of Palermo. Breakfast was amazing!
Note that the pictures shown on Booking.com of the property are NOT all from the rooms where guests will be staying and are able to regularly access. This palace dates from the 1500's and some of the owner's rooms are still preserved with period furniture and decorations, but are not normally open to guests. NOTE: if you have problems with many floors of steeply pitched stairs, this is not a property you should strongly consider if you or anyone if your party have any mobility issues. There are no elevators from the street level to the guest areas of the residence.

we loved the location and the size of the rooms. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great!
I only wished to have more information about Palermo and the property in my room. Maybe a welcome packet, with history of the property, Wi-Fi password, resturant, and local suggestions and a map. I did get terrific recommendations, and a nice tour, but I had to ask for it.

The location and the staff. I wanted to like the hotel as well but my friend and I were placed in an apartment around the corner from the main hotel. The apartment was clean but it was just like staying in an Airbnb - no character, making the experience bland rather than interesting or unique.
It would have been nice if the hotel had informed me prior to arrival that the only availability they had was a separate apartment rather than a room in the hotel. If I return to Palermo, I'd try for a room in the actual hotel.

Breakfasts provided leisurely opportunities to meet other guests around a lavish table.
The location is superb for 'oldies' who can't walk very far; Palermo offers so many fine things to see (and to eat) in the cento storico.
The staff were uniformly charming and helpful. Great recommendations for fine dining! I think a few down-market suggestions would help. (Street food, for example).
The room was big enough but was short on storage space (drawers) and lacked any external window views. The former might be remedied; the latter could not.
I had stipulated only 1 flight of stairs (which I got) but 20 steps was a bit forbidding. But that comes from the nature of a Palazzo.

I recently stayed at the Palazzo Arone dei Baroni di Valentino and had a fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything about my stay was top-notch. The accommodation is a special place with a lot of history.
The staff was amicable and welcoming; the room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and stocked with high-quality toiletries. In addition, the Palazzo is conveniently located near many of the city's top attractions and is easily accessible.
I recommend the Palazzo to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in this city. I can't wait to stay there again!

The location in the center of Palermo was perfect. The apartment was spacious, had a well equipped kitchen and furnishings were lovely. The staff on reception was wonderful - very friendly and welcoming. He carried our luggage up to our apartment and that was many stairs!

we stayed in a two bedroom modern apartment in a Palazzo built in the 1400s! the architecture was amazing, the details and decor wonderful!
the apartment was on the 4th floor with no lift. As a older person I had to be extra careful walking up and down stairs, But to me it was worth it!!

From the check in to the check out,we had no issues at all. The breakfast was always like you are at your own home talking to people around. The room was quite big for being so centrally located. We stayed for 3 nights.. I hope to go back again..

We loved the location and character of Palazzo Arone as a small, boutique hotel set in a genuine historical palace in the heart of the most historical district of Palermo. The property was truly a unique part of the broader setting. Our room had a balcony and a terrace overlooking a very active pedestrian avenue. Yet at night the remarkably effective shutters gave us a quiet sleep. The staff treated us with great courtesy, helpfulness, and caring attention to our needs and comfort. They were excellent: Sara and Adele did a fine job of helping us feel at home, providing advice and guidance for restaurants and sightseeing, ordering taxis, making reservations, and so much more. They were especially helpful when one of us suddenly developed a need for an emergency visit to a hospital. They assisted us to get through this trying experience and get on with our enjoyable visit as quickly as possible. Claudia was outstanding in most graciously offering and serving a delicious and attractively presented breakfast every day, and she cheerfully provided good alternative choices for one of us who has a dietary restriction. The staff deserve a “10” based on our six-day stay. Overall, we grade Palazzo Arone as a “9+” for sure even though it doesn’t have some of the extras of larger hotels.
Very little. Our room had a somewhat different but very workable arrangement of the bathroom facilities, no doubt because it’s in a renovated palazzo. We would’ve preferred to have a safe in the room, but then again the few rooms and the oversight of Sara and Adele at the desk only several paces away provided a greater sense of security than typical in some larger hotels. On any future trips to Palermo we will most certainly stay at Palazzo Arone but very probably choose one of the few suites, if available.

We stayed here when we had a long weekend in Palermo. The palazzo is located in the heart of the old town, stepping straight out into the main tourist street. Perfect location close to the cathedral, restaurants and markets. The room was well appointed with an en suite bathroom and balcony with table and chairs. We loved it here staying in this historic building, the staff were very helpful and made the whole experience excellent

The staff and the location were amazing. The building and the history of the hotel was fascinating... like staying in a Palace!
No view from our window. Easy to hear other guests in hallway and stairs.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel and is right in the very heart of Palermo a few steps from the Cathedral. Our room had an amazing outside terrace which overlooked the pedestrian street (Room 1 next to the Reception desk). The owners have tried to keep as many original features of the palazzo as possible while injecting a modern element in some of the furnishings. The staff were very helpful and friendly. After breakfast we were offered a small tour of the private areas of the Palazzo which had in ornate furnishings and old photographs - really beautiful.
Just something that worried us initially - on initial arrival, Google maps directs you to a pedestrian area which has a sign saying strictly no vehicles but on phoning the Hotel, they assured us they had permission for their guests to drive down this pedestrian street to drop off luggage - they then call a local parking garage to come and collect and park your car elsewhere...
