Comfy room. Great breakfast. Staff were friendly. Good location for central Exeter. Overall a good stay but nothing exciting.
No car parking. Feels a little bit soulless in the common areas but only a small footprint. Small outside area but Feels like you're sitting amongst the local offices... which you are!

The room was comfortable and classically decorated. The bar has a lovely cosy atmosphere and the dinner was outstanding - beautiful fresh and tasty.

Terrific location to explore Exeter, two mins walk from the Cathedral and another couple of mins to the High Street
Not much could have been better, a gem

Situated in the centre just a short walk from the cathedral and historic town wall and shops, this hotel was incredible. Amazing service, a lovely bar and conservatory with a log burner to chill out next too. The room was gorgeously decorated. The bathroom, wow, the most amazing bath to unwind in. We will come back soon for a mini break.

a little bit too warm at night. might not be a great place to stay if it were summer

Utterly elegant w/o a trace of kitsch. First-rate food. Exceedingly welcoming & professional staff. Steps from Cathedral & town center. Superb hotel, start to finish.
Would have appreciated: a box of tissues in room; a common tap in the sink; anti-skid bathmat & grab bar in slippery shower.

Breakfast a rip off £35 for two people, drinks are expensive too. Not somewhere for a younger couple.

The location was great. The hotel was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and the staff were very helpful and welcoming.
The breakfast was excellent. The room was quiet
Our room was their comfy room. The room was small. The bed was very tight to the wall which made getting in and out of bed a bit awkward. There was not enough room for a wardrobe. If we were to stay again I would spend the extra and ask for a bigger room, The shower room was beautifully done but one massive problem for me is that it only had a fixed rain type overhead shower with no hand helf showerhead. This is all fine for people who have short hair or who wash their hair daily but for someone with long thick hair who doesn't want to get their hair wet neach time they have a shower it is a problem. The overhead shower is not great for ladies hygiene either. Its is such a pity that this was overlooked when they designed the shower room. I have had the same problem in other hotels. I would also recommend they put up hooks in the shower room for towels and belongings too.
