Location was good
Unfortunately it needs maintenance very run down room and only can get fresh air if you leave your front sliding door open very damp. Toilet was broken hair all over bathroom floor, towel was stained, coffee station with bo coffee in, leaking bar fridge and bedding was also stained. The staff forgot almost everything like the stained towels I asked for and the breakfast I booked the night before, they were now onto be found when I checked in or had to remind them the second time I need towels. The pool was very green and they left the front gate open, so security was not good. Even that it states no party in room I had to ask my neighbor to please tone it down a bit. I had such high expectations for this place on the photoshop it looks amazing and the price was very good, but it is not a true representation of the state of the property now. I really good 2star price, service and accommodation. Really hope they can fix everything

Location and friendliness of the staff

The views were great.
Place was okay cannot complain much, but towels had yellow stains and was torn when I arrived. They managed to get it changed the following day. Breakfast menu was not giving, things they had as available on their service menu was out of stock. Saw cockroaches had to kill some. Wifi connection was terrible. The bed not so comfy woke up to body pains in the morning. The place looks like it is ageing compared to what I saw on the internet. Staff was unable to escalate my matters timeously had to push them. Poor communication with the property.

Staff was friendly as always ...thanks again to the lovely ladies Letty and the other one(sorry forgot name).
Little bit of TLC to the building would really up its overall look.

Beautiful gardens and picturesque views of the City👌. Very warm welcome and chaty House lady Leytie 😀...will definitely come again.
Some parts of the building seem to be falling of probably due to the age of the building but construction is on going so hopefully it'll be refurbished.

Staff was helpful when I needed to change rooms: Sibusiso at reception went above and beyond his job
Beds were not comfortable, not sure if that's because of my room option. There was a cockroach in my first room, I paid for breakfast but was informed when I showed up for said breakfast that it's not available, was refunded R100 of the R130 I paid

The staff helped me as much as possible.
No electricity for hours on Friday after loadshedding, missed my online conference call. My car got blocked by other cars twice, was late for a meeting due to that. At one stage there were 4 cars parked behind other cars in the parking. On Friday night I slept 4 hours, there were people with phones talking outside my dour and/or lauging at 12am and at 1am I had to get up to tell 2 young guys to keep quite as they kept running up and down the wooden stairs outside my room. It is also not safe during loadshedding as the front gate is then just left open without security.
I also don't like the long hours that the female staff have to work there, hope they are paid for over time.
