All the staff were really welcoming and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, even to the point where we were having problems arranging a taxi, one of the staff said that if we were really stuck then she would come out and get us to the wedding venue or get us home. Breakfast which was included was excellent well cooked and piping hot. When we had to change our dinner reservation from evening to lunchtime and increase the numbers by 3, they did not bat an eyelid and kept saying don’t worry we will fit you in, which they did. Both of us have nothing but praise for the hotel and the staff

Extremely spacious, comfortable room, serviced each day of our stay.
Breakfasts and dinner really good too.
Would definitely return for another stay.
Location is perfect to explore the area.

Fantastic food ,evening meal and breakfast
Staff gave great customer service and very friendly always glad to help
Good parking
If your a light sleeper then I wouldn’t book the front rooms as the road has a little traffic not to heavy
And it’s not busy during the night

It was in a good location to get to Rye and area with parking facility. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. We had evening meal and breakfast and the food and service was excellent.
Room in main building slightly dated but absolutely fine for what we wanted.
4.3
Cottage room was spacious - plenty of room for 2 people and a dog. Nicely furnished and not cluttered. Clean and comfortable. Early check-in very helpful and appreciated.
Breakfast very nice with plenty of choice.
A few details could have been checked more carefully. TV remote had flat batteries, one of the wall lights was broken and the pull cord for the wall lights was missing. Nothing serious, not enough of a problem for me to mention it at the time, but it's always better when hotels check this kind of thing without prompting.

Lovely big room, slightly tired in some areas but not to the point of complain, and would def stay again.
Hotel restaurant food was superb for both dinner and breakfast. Beds were REALLY comfy.
Not much tbh

Great location for our purpose. Good breakfast.
A little bit of road noise in our room, but not that it would prevent us booking again.
4.3
Great hotel, lovely staff, very helpful, had dinner in there restaurant, the only problem was we could not eat it all, 🤣
It was all good, would definitely stay again

The room was lovely not huge but plenty big enough for us. The food at the King's head was wonderful. So much choice at breakfast and such pleasant and helpful staff. We ate at the pub most evenings and the food and service were excellent once again.
I can't really find fault with it. The room was across the car park which might have been a pain in bad weather going for breakfast each morning but it was sunny while we were there so not a problem.

Amazing ambience in and around the inn. Room was amazing with great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Rye and area. Both breakfast and diner was great.

Great location lovely staff and fab room and breakfast was outstanding
Had quiet a few cobwebs and had a spider crawl over me at night

The location was great and our evening meal was very good. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.
Rooms were a little updated with regard to some of the fixtures and fittings, specifically the en-suites. Our friends shower stopped working, luckily they were able to use ours instead.
I was unable to use my Amex card to pay, even though I had secured my booking with this, luckily I had taken other means of payment.
Part of our order at dinner was forgotten which meant one person had to wait a considerable amount of time to eat.
The biggest issue was a perceived lack of honesty from the duty manager on the Saturday. We were asked if we wanted our bill for our evening meal put onto our overall invoice which we agreed. After we paid the following morning we noticed a service charge of almost £20 had been added. At no point were we asked if this could be added and I didn't think it was right to challenge this with the junior member of staff that we paid on the Sunday morning. We all really feel that there should not have been any extra charge for service, we were a table of four and in no way awkward at all. This has left a very bad taste I the mouth. We definitely will NOT return!!

Lovely, attentive staff and great food.

Charming large room in a lovely pub and a good location. The staff were very friendly welcoming and helpful. We also had our evening meal in the pub and alongside the breakfast the food was very good. I would recommend and would stay here again if returning to Rye.

Excellent accommodation - we were in one of the lodges, which were a fantastic size and had the bonus of a day bed which was appreciated. The bathroom was very clean, with ample towels and a large shower. The beds were very comfortable with a choice of cushions, pillows and extra blankets which was appreciated. There was room to hang clothes including an ironing board. Breakfast was so tasty, and many options including fresh fruit. Staff were helpful and quick to attend. Really lovely room, easily accessible and free parking - we will definitely be back!
I would have liked to have had a lamp by both beds - perhaps something to consider for a family room having a lamp by the main bed so that if others are on the smaller bed going to sleep, the light can be turned off.
4.3
Good choice for both breakfast and dinner. Room was fine although had to ask for heating to be turned on as previous occupants had wanted it turned off.
Excellent staff in bar and restaurant.
Having to ask for the heating to be turned on as it was very cold in the evening in our room.
Dining tables were a bit small for 4 people at breakfast and use crockery was not collected until after we had finished.
4.3
I liked the accommodation being located in separate housing away from any noise from the inn.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the inn.
4.3
A lovely old pub, which has been beautifully decorated. The rooms are very comfortable, food is wonderful and the staff are amazing.

We stayed in the fabulous Champagne room, which was incredibly spacious and luxurious.
The breakfast and Sunday lunch were wonderful and the staff are always amazing.

staff helpful, good breakfast

The King's Head was exceptionally good for our special family weekend. The log cabins were excellent for our family members, including grandchildren. Most of all, the staff were fantastic - so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was outstanding. Thank you all for making our celebration so enjoyable. The food and drink was very good with lots of choices to suit everyone.
Nothing.

stayed in lodge with twin beds. Lovely room and bathroom with some nice touches e.g. water provided. Good pub food.
Felt overcharged for 2 takeaway baguettes. They were nice but not worth the £24 bill.
4.3
We booked two rooms and a lodge for our family group and all were absolutely spotless. The lodge was a massive hit with our grandchildren, which meant the parents could chill as well.
The location is great - a short and beautiful walk down through the fields and you’re in the centre of Rye, but you’re far enough out not to be stuck in the tourist melee.
All the staff were exceptional, no matter what their role. Friendly, engaging and genuinely keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
Food was great, bar area was lovely.
Absolutely nothing.
4.3
The room was so clean and pretty the colours were really nicely colour coordinated and the staff were sooo kind and made sure we were okay throughout our stay!!
Overall experience 10/10 and would come back in the future
